R.I.P. Mr. Oriole... My dad took me to my first Oriole's game in 1985. It was opening day, and Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson, and Boog Powell were there. I actually got to shake hands with Brooks and Frank! It is still my favorite memory with my dad. R.I.P. Brooks! You were truly great! Thanks for the video, Jabs! 🙏
I mean you could always use a razor blade slice the side and have the mini fall out... Actually Keep the integrity of the original vs. Just ripping it down the middle ruining it.
Tough to watch. basically just tearing up hundred dollar bills.....only hit is a comedian no ones ever heard of. I agree just sell them unripped and buy the auto you want, let someone else take the risk.
I’m pretty new to baseball and collecting, i like the RIP cards but seems it would be more worth to sell them I ripped and let someone else open it. I’ve not seen really anything come out of them when opened that seems worth it. Don’t think I’ll be getting into ripping them. Excited to grab a couple boxes from my local store of the A&G though to check ‘‘em out - I like the look of the cards
I would have sold the Judge/Goldschmidt or Deion Sanders/Acuna Jr. card if it were mine, because I would most likely not have resisted the temptation to rip either for long, or cope with the disappointment. Thanks for sharing this tough video.
I just packed a Tim Anderson/Eloy Jimenez Double Rip Card tonight/ 50 and was torn what to do. After watching this video I'm leaning towards trying to sell than rip. What ya'll think?
Kyle Gordon Mini Auto *Normal* Ink: $60 non-numbered Kyle Gordon Mini Auto *Red* Ink: Unknown /10 I didn't major in math or baseball card collecting, so I don't know this equation. What do y'all think?
Stop Ripping! Lets be honest. The rip is never worth it. Sure you have a CHANCE at something great but it's like buying a pack of 52 topps. most of the time you're left holding your......choices.
I think they call them RIP cards because it's almost always a rip off. I don't like this whole business of having to destroy something, especially since what you get is almost never better.
I keep saying this and I will say it again now that topps has monopolized the card market it’s not worth the money at all of what they are selling it for, also the market is flooded so it will be like the 90’s again where the cards won’t be worth nothing
@jabsfamily dude, I just pulled my first ever rip card ... it's a double rip card of Ronald acuña jr. And Juan Soto.... I have, so far , left it intact. Let me tell you how tempted I am to rip this 200$ card open 😭#/22
RIP cards = rest in peace to the money you could have made! i would never ever rip one of these after all i seen ripped with nothing inside but a dang mini
After watching a couple of these videos, I sure haven't been convinced to ever rip a card should I get one...
Yeah a big "oof" watching this!
RIP to Brooks Robinson. One of the greatest.
Got to meet him a bunch of times. I used to work on his pool. He was just as great of a person as he was a baseball player.
I had a Heritage auto from years back. Brooks. RIP

Dude I heard it this morning and it was really sad
@RandomThings565 Really sad...He brought a lot of joy to a lot of people! 🙏
Kyle Gordon auto goes for $25
Topps did a good job to make this a fun set for this year, but should have created better odds for actual parallels in the rip cards.
I mean you could always use a razor blade slice the side and have the mini fall out... Actually Keep the integrity of the original vs. Just ripping it down the middle ruining it.
This is absolute garbage that they do not give them more autographs...
pulled a 1/10 ron santo rip card... stuck a magnet too it.. inside was a Arod metal mini
That’s a darn good idea
Tough to watch. basically just tearing up hundred dollar bills.....only hit is a comedian no ones ever heard of. I agree just sell them unripped and buy the auto you want, let someone else take the risk.
I pulled a George Brett /99 rip card and got a mini Rickey Henderson out of it. Should’ve sold it instead.
Weirdo Card needs to be made into the official insert card name. "We got a Gold Weirdo out of 50 here!"
I feel bad for those people you ripped these for.
You gamble, you're probably going to lose.
Always a good time with Jabs Family!

Wow that was brutal!
14:40 hurts donut 🍩...that was a dream card...imagine getting both of them to autograph it...
You could almost sell a double rip and buy whatever auto you wanted.
You should sell a double rip card and buy whatever auto you want.
Kyle Gordon a “comedian” is a joke itself
Thanks for the experience. Only way for a lot of us to see what’s happening. Thx again!
That was awesome ! Exciting
By far the worst product offered. Never worth it.
Glad I watched. Thanks Jabs
It’s been a year since this video last year?! Time flies…
Fun video, thanks Jabs.
I would have sold the Judge/Goldschmidt or Deion Sanders/Acuna Jr. card if it were mine, because I would most likely not have resisted the temptation to rip either for long, or cope with the disappointment. Thanks for sharing this tough video.
I have a George Brett RIP card /99 and I’m definitely not opening it after seeing this lol Thank you
I have the mini wood Jackie Robinson! Pulled it on Sunday night watching a Jabs video!!😊
This video was brought to you for sample purposes only, "Rip at you own risk!"
You sound like this radio host. In Canada rock 95, the mans name is macully.
The Paul Goldschmidt / Aaron Judge was a tough one to watch be ripped.
4:35 It's another Baez strikeout. BOO!!
I pulled a mini Allen Ginter RC Yoshida auto in red 10/10. I am new to the hobby and need help determining the value or the best way to sell it?
Yeah I bought his autograph card from 72 4 days ago
I just packed a Tim Anderson/Eloy Jimenez Double Rip Card tonight/ 50 and was torn what to do. After watching this video I'm leaning towards trying to sell than rip. What ya'll think?
Sell I just today got a double of Ramirez Ortiz 9 outa 35. Watching this no way I'm ripping it
An auto of…….a comedian I’ve never heard of. At least Topps is laughing all the way to the bank, making cards like these. 😂
Topps should at least give you a numbered mini in these. What a joke this stuff is, SELL.
If I ever get one, I will never rip it.
Kyle Gordon Mini Auto *Normal* Ink: $60 non-numbered
Kyle Gordon Mini Auto *Red* Ink: Unknown /10
I didn't major in math or baseball card collecting, so I don't know this equation. What do y'all think?
Rip one of the best third baseman of all time brooks Robinson
Rip cards are ugly this year
If I ripped one of these and got a javier baez I think I'd rip the baez too
Stop Ripping! Lets be honest. The rip is never worth it. Sure you have a CHANCE at something great but it's like buying a pack of 52 topps. most of the time you're left holding your......choices.
Love the rip cards! Great video.
The numbers are mirroring one of the player’s playing number. 46 Goldy, 24, Deion, 13 Manny, etc…
Rip Kirby Puckett
Why do I feel like my heart is about to break x 10?
Trea Turner had an oddly special moment with Phillies fans.
Rip cards are, to me, the dumbest card idea since Leaf introduced Fractal Matrix. RIP a normal sized card for a mini? Sign me up for No Thanks.
What up jabs
Can't these rip cards be weighed for metal or wood cards?
Sure. But you probably need a few of them to get an idea of what each weighs.
@@MGAF688 led flashlight would do the trick also...🔦
@@pauleclips they made them so that doesn't work anymore
@@chasejackson7248 can they still be weighed?
Metal + magnet = 💲💲💲💲
Ripping the Puckett got me
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush 😬
WOW
RIP BROOKS ROBINSON GREATEST 3RD BASEMAN EVER GOAT
Robert Kraft has a autographed card.
What do we take from this.....if you rip it, you may end up ripped off.
I love the famous Jabs "sign off". Cuz everybody has one but they're always changing it up and Jabs is always the same! Even during the day.
I got a triple rip Ripkin for my box topper and a Rollie mini auto in my box
Kyle gordon sold for 55 on eBay
If you are looking for just metal inserts use a small magnet before ripping, if the card doesn't stick to the magnet then don't rip...
Kyle Gordon auto around 50
First comment! Haha! Hey Jabs! Love the RIP cards
Got a Mike trout Stained Glass
God ripping that Deion and Acuna card was hard to watch 🤣
That’s brutal , probably getting more value on regular pack than what’s inside those rip cards 😅
Should have scanned them
Watching the Freeman rip just after 2024 World Series. The irony. Ouch.
I hope stained glass are in this subset.
Cash in hand always
Kyle Gordon is the planet of the base guy
Brutal
Now we know why they are called rip cards... RIP
kyle gordon probably in the $110-$180 range
Kyle Gordon is a comedian and a social media star who is known for his TikTok online which might go for a lot of money
$25 card
I think they call them RIP cards because it's almost always a rip off.
I don't like this whole business of having to destroy something, especially since what you get is almost never better.
$400 to $1
Boom
I keep saying this and I will say it again now that topps has monopolized the card market it’s not worth the money at all of what they are selling it for, also the market is flooded so it will be like the 90’s again where the cards won’t be worth nothing
That was brutal. Pretty sure 1000 ended up becoming 100.
Stupid question: do you have a better shot at a good card if you're ripping a better card? Or are the odds the same?
Lower the denominator usually better than chance from what I have seen
Well...they say there are only two ways to go broke: rapidly and slowly. Ripping A&G rip cards is one of the fastest ways.
The RIP Card is what is awesome, not what's inside. Every time someone rips one, the others become very scarce
That sanders Acuna might have been a huge card to sell. No rip would have compensated for it. Tragic.
@16:00 ........And don't open old unopened material
Allen and Ginter is absolute trash, you’ll never convince me otherwise. I’ve ripped over 30 blasters and have never hit a single mem or auto card.
E Erik says, "sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. It's like playing the lotto"!
Could these be x rayed or similar tech the way that paintings are done to see what is hidden underneath before one "rips".
Still not sure about rip cards, they are basically a $100 lottery ticket
I know I 100% shouldn't rip my rip cards but the degenerate in me knows damn well I'm going to 😂
Moral of the story, Don't rip em unless it's the one with the box topper with the stained glass
I will be selling my 9 outa 35 Ortiz Ramirez double rip. I couldnt stand the lost feeling opening up that beauty and finding two reg minis
@jabsfamily dude, I just pulled my first ever rip card ... it's a double rip card of Ronald acuña jr. And Juan Soto.... I have, so far , left it intact. Let me tell you how tempted I am to rip this 200$ card open 😭#/22
Collect the rip cards
These make me sick to watch
Haven't seen many hits out of these either. I would never rip them lol. Unless its Wander.
Lmao😂😂😂😂 this could be worth big bucks...a comedian that no one's ever heard of that's the 1 hit you get out of 10
Im guessing 2 hits 1 auto and 1 other
I am a Tigers fan and would be so mad if I ripped open a card to find Javier Baez, thats just trolling
y
Kyle Gordon would find that joke very funny, “This card could be worth big bucks!”. LOL
RIP cards = rip-off.
RIP cards = rest in peace to the money you could have made! i would never ever rip one of these after all i seen ripped with nothing inside but a dang mini
