      @@SleeveSaturdayI saw it with my own two eyes and this is something you can't easily pick up visually, especially the way they light Henley on stage and never show close-ups on the live video feed. Notice how he keeps the mic close to his mouth and uses a large windscreen?
      Pitch analysis software does not lie however.
      There is no way a human can produce the exact same pitch waveforms when singing the same song years apart. It's that simple.
      Why do you think the Eagles had such tight security on cell phone videos? They don't want others to discover their fraud before they arrive in their city.
      You sound like a hardcore fan and I know it's tough to accept. I found it hard to believe before I looked at the evidence and there is no other conclusion to come to. The Eagles lip sync. Not always, but they do now.

      @@SleeveSaturdaysaw them live last night. Pretty sure Don sang Desperado live at the end, his voice was deeper and almost broke a couple of times and you could hear him breathing down the mic. The rest of his songs were perfect vocals, a higher key, no breathing, no breaking, no close up videos of him for most of it, sounded just like the album versions. Definitely miming all but Desperado.

      @@SleeveSaturday This degree of commitment to a delusion isn’t healthy.
      By 2015, Henley was already doing “Desperado” transposed down into an easier key, to accomodate the already reduced range of his aging voice. This is not unusual for singers as they age, and is an entirely acceptable practice.
      However, In 2024, he’s supposedly singing “Desperado” back in the original key he did it in in his twenties. Not only that, but he’s doing it night after night, relentlessly, for months on end, and hitting that high note with all the precision and strength of his youth.
      This simply does not happen. Singers who already can’t hit high notes in their mid-sixties can’t suddenly hit them again at 76.
      That’s before we even consider the completely irrefutable evidence of multiple, supposedly separate performances being literally identical. No singer is capable of that, even when deliberately trying really hard to match a previous performance - one they are hearing in headphones at the time. That’s why double-tracking a vocal has that distinctive sound - because the two vocals are NOT completely identical. Ever. They can’t be, because that is impossible.
      Clearly, Henley either cares about separating gullible people like you from their money MORE than he cares about his legacy, or he thinks people are so stupid that he can get away with it.
      Let the dream go. It’s over.

Load them one at a time into free Moises and solo the voice and export it. Do it for the second one. Load the exported voices and import them into free reaper or any daw, GarageBand. Slide them so their waveforms are aligned and listen. They are the exact same takes and the backing vocals too. Such a shame.

    I love the Eagles and saw them in 2001 ,they were superb. I went to the last night on Saturday 8th at Manchester co op live last week and got my zoom camera in. I zoomed in on Henley singing Hotel California . When I watched it on my laptop at home I was shocked and disappointed to see he was in fact miming. The dishonesty of them is low. Question is, how many tours ago did they start cheating ? In 2001 they were legit.

    • @fromchomleystreet
      @fromchomleystreet Месяц назад

      The videos of Henley miming to the same prerecorded backing track he’s still using on the current tour go back to at least 2018. There’s a video from 2015 where he sings “Desperado” on the Howard Stern show. He’s clearly doing it for real, and the thing that is particularly notable is that it’s been transposed down a tone to accommodate what was already the diminished range of an ageing voice then - almost a decade ago, whereas the backing track he’s using now is back in the song’s original key.
      So, my best guess is the change from singing to miming happened sometime between 2015 and 2018.

  • @fromchomleystreet
    @fromchomleystreet 3 месяца назад

    Henley was already miming “Desperado” at least - and to exactly the same backing track he’s lip syncing to now - when you saw him in 2019. The clips of his “performances” of that song that have been used, to definitively demonstrate that the audio is identical in all of them, go back as far as 2018. He’s been using exactly the same recorded performance, regurgitated to a new credulous audience every night, and fraudulently sold to each of them as something brand new, for at least six years. It is safe to assume the same is true of at least some, if not all, of the other songs in his repertoire. The lead vocal on “desperado” is far from the most challenging vocal part Henley performed on Eagles records, so it’s utterly implausible it would be the only one he’s been faking.
    The most recent performance of him actually SINGING “Desperado” available on RUclips seems to be one from 2015. It’s notable that back then (almost a decade ago) he was singing it transposed down a full tone to accommodate the reduced range of his then already aging voice. By contrast, the lip-synced clips between 2018 and 2024 are back in the original key that was already unachievable for him in his sixties.
    If you failed to “sniff” the miming in 2019, the problem is with your sniffer. You need your “too good to be true” bullshit detector recalibrated.

    It's a fantastic thing to be brought up with bands such as the Eagles. Without any gadgets concurrent with today's music, the Eagles and many others from that time drenched us all with what I consider the best music ever. The Eagles definitely played a huge role in Rock history! As far as things go now, anything goes. Unfortunately. Remember these guys are legends and deserve our respect first and foremost. Contemporary bands make miming normal procedure.

      Actually sound reproduction has always been at forefront of technology from the beginning and the crew that recorded The Eagles used all the gadgets including pitch correction, editing and manipulation because it’s been the absolute standard since the beginning, the studio is a creative musician’s science lab. The Beatles rarely ever recorded anything at natural speed or pitch and tape has been spliced and diced since the start. Steely Dan used drum samples (Babylon Sisters uses sampled kick and snare). Almost all films have voice done afterwards with the actors doing their lines afterwards in the studio (ADR/looping) all sounds including hair, clothes and environmental sounds are also done afterwards. Musicians have used click tracks live and in the studio for decades. Drummers use triggers to recreate studio drum sounds live etc etc the issue is that when you go to a gig that’s so expensive, you should expect a certain level of spontaneity and with full playback there’s none.
