This. They are the epitome of "If the shoe fits". They don't HAVE to call anyone out. The people that have too big of a head, and think they're WORTH being called out, out themselves.
Namjoons lyrics are like peeling an onion, there are so many layers to just one line, don't piss the boy off, he'll come at you. As an Idol he has to put on a specific persona all innocent and clean and when people put him down for it, he can't do anything about it but smile, but when solo, he vents all that pent up bullsh*t and here is a prime example. RM is one of the best rappers in the world today, he has substance in lyrics.

idk if you noticed but there was actually no chorus in this song or anything close to a normal structure of a song. If I remember correctly, he used 9 different flows in this and was so seamless with the transitions, you barely notice most of them
It's fun to see a reactor actually being smart enough to decipher this message from the first listen. Since some of his messages aren't really on the nose, like joke, which as you rightfully realized is kind of meta in itself, many don't actually realize his genius. Taking the techniques from other rappers, to show that he can do all that, but chooses not to. Flexing on them, while calling their skills useless. It's a genius move. Naming the song joke is the cherry on top for me. Appreciate it, would love to see you do more of RM's stuff! I personally really like "God Rap" from his first mixtape (he used a cole sample) and "Forever Rain" from mono, which has a slower tempo and shows a more vulnerable side.
this song of rm talking about people that doubt about his talent and him he doesnt speak about countries. a lot of people they run their mouth about him when he started his career and through this song shows his talent and where he is now without forgetting where he was
Actually A$AP is one of his role models, and on that line he added "Six shots got me feeling like 2pac" A lyrics from A$AP song And the line after that is not abt A$AP, it's just a playwords he made to diss rappers who always use lines like "I got my mf beat, my mf flow, my mf ryhme" and all that
I always love your reactions because you take time to give the lyrics and content genuine thought and consideration and try to understand them instead of glossing over it and hearing your analysis is interesting. Really appreciate your reactions! If you like this kind of track you would likey enjoy the cyphers done by all three rappers that were included on BTS albums. J-hope has a solo mixtape as well and his style is different from RM's and SUGA's but he's very good. I would recommend Airplane and Baseline. And if you want to see the versatility they have as rappers, check out songs like People off of AGUST D's latest mixtape (D-2) and RM's recent mixtape called mono.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for tuning in. The cyphers are definitely something on my list, really keen to watch those actually. Is there anything else you would like to see?

Thanks for the reaction. As a "Hip-Hop Head" you should probably know that the beat is from a Run the Jewels song. I've watched so many reactions to this song, but no one seems to know that. It's a shame because Run the Jewels is great, and RM kills it over this beat.
Yesssss was waiting on you reactinng to this lol you got it spot on pretty much. RM's answer to all the criticism/hate he received from his peers... apparently they didn't see him as a real rapper lol 😂 The guys a friggin genius.. only fully appreciated when you you watch the explanation videos 💜
This is why ARMY appreciate it when people take the time to look at the English translation of the lyrics and understand what they're singing/rapping about. I mean yeah, they have their hype songs, of course, but a lot of their music has some sort of message or thought they want to convey, too. Thank you for this video!
I really enjoy your reactions. You react, but you also analyze, and I appreciate that. If you’d like more info on RM, there’s a new channel called Bangtan Boot Camp that did a video a couple weeks ago and it’s the best I’ve ever seen. They go into examples of how his wordplay is so impressive. I believe they’re planning to do intros for the other members too.
hongdae is a university. the "hongdae variety" is most likely a reference to the street near the university where amateurs go to do song cover or dance covers. they're all crowded on that one street and perform at the same time. basically a street for busking
I’m glad to see someone finally take the time and acknowledge what he means behind what he says! Like he said in the part about “meaningless wordplay”, he’s just showing how much he can say gibberish and STILL be better than the ones that say “fast rap=talent” which is a reason it’s called Joke!
I'm over here clapping and grinning ear to ear. I miss this era of RM's solo work. I love his more intellectual, philosophical lyrics, don't get me wrong, but oh how he used to EVICERATE the competition.
If any BTS rapper mentions another rapper the're not dissing them but acknowledging them. Anyways loved the reaction!! Now you're only missing a J-HOPE song. Also I think you would like BTS's Hip-Hoppfile/ HIP-HOP LOVER.
I like your reaction and for sure Namjoon (RM) is the best rapper I'v ever seen try to listen to his other rap songs like (do you) and (I believe) much love.
1st time seeing you and love you reaction. You got the meaning of this song. Really enjoyed it and yes I hit that subscribed button! Gonna binge on the rest of your BTS reactions.Sending love from Aus 🇦🇺💜 😊
I'm like a year late but I don't see any comments about this but RM wasn't dissing the 4 nations saying their rappers have dirty tongues.... those are the countries he just toured through so he's flexing that he has global reach/audience to these dope countries. RM doesn't disrespect whole countries :) especially those specific ones listed
No shots at A$AP. He is doing what good rappers do. He is using ASAP's lyrics and acknowledging the author. "You must feel envious of my pay Sweden, Germany, Brazil to Japan" is not a diss at foreign rappers but at Korean underground rappers. Notice the word to. He left the underground to become an Idol rapper and this was a list of some of the countries he as leader of very young Idol group BTS visited while the antis were stuck doing underground clubs.
RM has a really high IQ, super smart. Then there were so many underground and popular rappers that gave him and Suga shit for joining BTS, saying they sold out and that real rappers wouldn't do that. There were ever rappers giving them grief who openly admitted they had never listened to BTS or any of the BTS rap or their dolo rap
I love that you mentioned Nas too because RM considers him to be one of his main influences (and got shy when they met at an award show lol). If you listen to Hip Hop File (you dont have to review it just listen!) you can see just how much they appreciate the culture.
I love your reactions (and not just the BTS ones!) I enjoy reactors that actually bring something to the table whether it is the cinematography, dancing, singing, etc. And now I have found one that goes through lyrics. Honestly, I enjoy BTS because of their honest and poetic lyrics. To piggy back on other comments, I hope you have a chance to react to or at least listen to Ddaeng and watch the DKDKTV explanation of Ddaeng. The number of meanings the word Ddaeng can take on in a 3 minute song is mind blowing.

I personally really like "God Rap" from his first mixtape (he used a cole sample) and "Forever Rain" from mono, which has a slower tempo and shows a more vulnerable side.
this song of rm talking about people that doubt about his talent and him he doesnt speak about countries. a lot of people they run their mouth about him when he started his career and through this song shows his talent and where he is now without forgetting where he was
Actually A$AP is one of his role models, and on that line he added "Six shots got me feeling like 2pac"
A lyrics from A$AP song
And the line after that is not abt A$AP, it's just a playwords he made to diss rappers who always use lines like
"I got my mf beat, my mf flow, my mf ryhme" and all that
Finally someone that understands rap
@@AltSpace as far as more rap line focused, NeverMind, HipHopPhile, Intro: The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, intro: soooo luv affair. For vocalists, since you haven't watched much of their stuff yet would be house of cards, the truth untold, and dimple. It would also be really cool to see you react to videos that tell you more about who they are as people like "Who is BTS?: The Seven Members of Bangtan" and the Nobodies to Legends 2018/2019.
OMGAHHH YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HAPPY I AM TO SEE YOU REACT TO THIS!!! FINALLY LOL !! Joke is one of my favourite RM solo songs!!! He seriously aint playin'!!! BUT I GOTTA SAY, IF YOU REALLY WANT TO HEAR MEAN RAP CHECK OUT THE CYPHERS!!!!! SUGA....THATS ALL IM GOING TO SAY. PERIOD. okay now that you know what RM is all about....YOU GOTTA CHECK OUT THE BTS RAPLINE (RM, J-HOPE & SUGA) CYPHERS..THERE ARE 4 PARTS!!! PLEASE!!! YOU THINK THIS IS CRAZY...YOU WONT WANT TO MISS OUT ON THOSE CYPHERS!!!! PS. there is a music video to "joke". Also, check out Suga's solo song "August D" and finally another RM solo called "DO YOU". KEEP YOUR CAPTIONS ON! Enjoy and can't wait to see these reactions.
namjoon é surreal
Thanks for the reaction. As a "Hip-Hop Head" you should probably know that the beat is from a Run the Jewels song. I've watched so many reactions to this song, but no one seems to know that. It's a shame because Run the Jewels is great, and RM kills it over this beat.
Him at the start:😄😖😮😲😳😨
Yesssss was waiting on you reactinng to this lol you got it spot on pretty much. RM's answer to all the criticism/hate he received from his peers... apparently they didn't see him as a real rapper lol 😂 The guys a friggin genius.. only fully appreciated when you you watch the explanation videos 💜
You are the first reactor that got the meaning of the song from the outset. Good for you! I appreciated your review. Thank you. 💜
Thahk you Cate, I'm gonna check out that channel for sure!
Thanks, I'll definitely check that out! 💜
I'm so happy for you to discover the treasure chest of BTS! Can't wait to go on this journey with you!
Please react to rm monster it flow there is fire
This gets me so hype
hongdae is a university. the "hongdae variety" is most likely a reference to the street near the university where amateurs go to do song cover or dance covers. they're all crowded on that one street and perform at the same time. basically a street for busking
I just love the way you react on this joke of rm your were the one who actually got what is joke about ❤❤
Really like youre reaction to my bias baby rm❤
Thank you so much 🙏🙏🙏
If any BTS rapper mentions another rapper the're not dissing them but acknowledging them. Anyways loved the reaction!!
Now you're only missing a J-HOPE song. Also I think you would like BTS's Hip-Hoppfile/ HIP-HOP LOVER.
Dope, thank you for pointing that out!
U got the meaning of the tittle of these song so right....
Thank you my dude, I thought the title was self explanatory lool but took me a hot minute to get there 😅
Thatz our Monster !! 😎😆💜😘
Rm 💜😘
I like your reaction and for sure Namjoon (RM) is the best rapper I'v ever seen try to listen to his other rap songs like (do you) and (I believe) much love.
RM is amazing. I think you'll also really enjoy Year of the Ox - Captain America and Twighlight Zone.
Incredible Korean-American rappers.
I'm on the lookout for more korean rappers! Thank you for your suggestions
Finally , BTS's reaction . Thank you )
He is extremely intelligent and it shows in his lyrics. He actually said that this song was just a play on words.
Pleaseeee react to his song “Monster” , it’s off the same mixtape this song was on
I'll see what I can do 😉
1st time seeing you and love you reaction. You got the meaning of this song. Really enjoyed it and yes I hit that subscribed button! Gonna binge on the rest of your BTS reactions.Sending love from Aus 🇦🇺💜 😊
Thank you so much for watching and tuning in, just know you're massively appreciated ♥️
Quadruple threat!!!! 1st time I’ve heard that one.
Great reaction...
O, YES, I LOVE YOU,DT PARKER, 🙏😍😍😍😍😍😍💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
You got that exactly right!
The MV is even better. Dark but really good
No shots at A$AP. He is doing what good rappers do. He is using ASAP's lyrics and acknowledging the author.
"You must feel envious of my pay
Sweden, Germany, Brazil to Japan" is not a diss at foreign rappers but at Korean underground rappers. Notice the word to. He left the underground to become an Idol rapper and this was a list of some of the countries he as leader of very young Idol group BTS visited while the antis were stuck doing underground clubs.
Still my favorite reaction to Joke, ever. 😘
I'm impressed! You got the meaning/message behind the song which most reactors wouldn't know. And because of that, i subscribe 😉💜
Best joke's reaction
I hope u can react to his old mixtape.. Its bop.. Tq 4 reacting.. I'm gonna subscribe..
Thank you dude! I will react to more of his videos soon 🙏🏿
This was a great review! Probably the best I have seen of RM. You got it 👌
I love your reactions (and not just the BTS ones!) I enjoy reactors that actually bring something to the table whether it is the cinematography, dancing, singing, etc.
I am 100% subscribing to you. Your reactions actually give useful insight and show your understanding of the genre as a whole. Great job!!!
BROOO REACT TO RM DO YOU!!!
On the list 🙏🏿
Rap monstaaaaa 😍
You are just great. Thanks so much.
Wowwww literally you nailed it on the first listen so impressive!
Yeah RM ain't playing he is spitti'n fire
We wasn't named "rap monster" for nothing they were afraid of him when he is still in the underground rapper... Try reacting to ddaeng it was lit it is his way of proving that he can still rap the way a rapper should be
Your reaction did not disappoint! Loving your uploads, keep it up!💜
Thanks dude, I massively appreciate your comment ♥️
Forever rain RM plis!! mono álbum
What do they mean the MV is messed up? The MV is everything.
I think they mean the lyrics on it. Theres only auto generated and a lot of people who react to it use them and get confused
Stare all you want my man... I'm already subscribed. 😜
i subbed bc of this reaction. thank u for understanding RMs mindset
Woaahh, so you got the meaning of this track...you're the only reactor I watch that actually found that 😂😂 thank you
elastine is a shampoo/ hair product brand in korea
You can try a reaction to the song Falling in Reverse ,Popular Monster!!
I like your reaction, he's amazing really amazing
You got it on point!💜
Thank you so much!
