if you were to think about this for more than the time it took for you to write this comment, weight is not something you can "identify" as. weight is a fact and you can't change that without doing anything. identifying as another thing has been disproven many times over the years and you choose to not listen to that and say "I identify as an attack helicopter!"

We see people identifying as "non-binary", when even if claimed as true, that person would STILL be binary, because the only other option would be male or female which is BINARY. This is an emotional or psychological interpretation of that persons feelings, but does not make it factually true, it is their "lived experience" as we are told. Those who have anorexia LITERALLY identify as fat, but they are obviously and can objectively be proven not to be fat. One who has anorexia, is 100% convinced he / she is overweight, so eats as little as possible and not uncommon to "purge" after eating. Why do we attempt to treat those with anorexia? Why do we not offer them liposuction?

Why do we consider anorexia a medical condition... because it must be addressed, as it WILL kill that person over time. It will lead to stress on all kinds of body organs and will lead to premature death. If one is obese, yet says that those asking they lose weight is to be fat phobic, as have heard MANY say about doctor recommendations, that WILL lead to health complications, strain on heart, joints, circulatory system and will lead to a shortened life.
