You could get a month of livestreams out of that old girl, waiting for the trace to catch up. Nice visual comparison Simon, out with the old and in with the new eh?
I've got an Agilent 100MHz 2Gsa/s 4 channel scope just like that on my bench at work. Touch screen also. Very nice to use. I wish I could afford one for my home workshop. Sadly, got to put up with an old Tektronix TDS380 400Mhz 2Gsa/s monochrome scope.
Funny I have the 200mhz version but I don’t like the touch screen. I prefer to operate the screen through a wireless mouse, but interested to see we all like different things!
Nice scope, display looks like an analogue crt. Not as much fun as a Tektronix 465 dual time base! Nice demo. I'm still looking for a good Tektronix 465, maybe one day.
@@SoddingaboutSi Mine too, currently using a Hitachi VC-6045A and a Hameg HM208. Fell in love with Tektronix cro's when working for Marconi space and defence Portsmouth. Let's hope another valve receiver comes your way for tlc!
@@dennisqwertyuiop Think you need to check it carefully against the manual. Thete is not a lot that can go wrong. Ensure the resistance range is correct. The reason I am of little help is I don't have it to hand. Sorry you feel put out.
Good to see your well Simon. Thanks for upload. :-)
Welcome back Simon!
Thanks' Dino
At last you are back Simon. Good demo and nice scopes
I can't hear it Simon, so I don't care lol. Welcome back, I missed you.
It is pretty much the difference between my old HP scope and my Rigol... A clear demonstration that technological geniusses can understand.
You don't have to be a genius to understand that 2g is higher than 200M
that was good to see, Simon.
Pretty much why a lot of people stuck with their old analogue CRO's until gigasampling became an affordable thing! I love my Siglent SDS 1104X-E :)
Very interesting demonstration. Thanks best regards Chris

Nice video. I have a 54622D, the MSO one. A really good testgear. The only downside is the loud noise while it is on.
I put a quieter fan in mine and all seems fine.
