Thank you for watching and to those of you who asked me questions for this video! So sorry I couldn't get to all of them. 😅 Like I asked in the video, if I were to offer virtual interior styling services, what do you think those services should include? What would be helpful?
Okay so on Your one on one I can tell You for a while I did that and what I did was spoke with clients via video chat and had them tour the space in question, send me ideas they liked, did three assessments after I made dream board scenarios and finally used an illustrator program to give examples using their pictures, then I would send them a list of final products, and ship them to their homes along with my fees paid and send instructional videos for assembly and then a one on one follow up live chat again to see if there was any changes they might consider. If you can afford to add it in professional installers of your own caliber should be available too in case a client wants that. You can visit if you choose or if possible but this way you don't come off as invasive if the client doesn't want a million people crawling all over. Plus you can focus on what you need to do in the meantime. It actually makes it a ton faster than the traditional with the client type decor.
Steffi, I'm so glad You two are on talking terms. Break ups can be difficult. I just lost someone like that, they passed away after we broke up. I felt guilty because we had not spoken in years. They just died before Thanksgiving. I'm on a healing siesta myself.i can say this. Do not loathe you or him. Just focus on realizing it just wasn't meant to work in that context and they are still there. This is what I did and where I am with it. Good times existed. That means it was not a loss.
You could offer virtual consultations, where you have someone show you their space, their pinterest vision/ idea boards, identify their styling problems + then offer solutions in whatever ways they need ie: new pieces, new arrangements etc. You could do personalized shopping for a few inspo items for them or create looks within a certain budget, so they can get an idea of what to shop for. You could even offer personalized "mock ups" of what the new room could look like since you are so good at digital design! I follow a local to me interior designer here on YT, she is also a maximalist but has a different style from me/ us; she still gives great interior design tips/ advice + she mentions in some videos that she gets clients who find her on YT who hire her to consult virtually + in person. Her name is Julie Khuu, definitely worth checking her channel/ services out for some inspiration on what you could offer.
Steffi, so good to see your vlog today. Helio is just the best and is so affectionate with you. He is a cuddle bug. I also live alone with my little Pomeranian Ziggy and we have the same relationship. As you said living alone is definitely exquisite. Look forward to next week. Thank you.
I loved watching you light up as you said you loved living alone -- I couldn't agree more! Living in my studio apartment is so cozy and relaxing, I wouldn't trade this peace for anything. I'm happy to hear that you're healing, and I really enjoyed learning more about little Helo! :)
omg Hilo (Helo?) kitty's origin story/ old footage was soooo sweet. I love how obsessed w you she is, she knows you saved her! my rescued half-brother kitties are like that too, little bff stage 5 clingers 💜 I'm so happy to hear that you are healing well + that you both are in better places! I understand battling demons, wishing you both continued healing! ALSO GIRL I FINALLY GOT MYSELF A YELLOW VELVET SECTIONAL FOR MY BDAY A FEW DAYS AGO THANK YOU FOR THE INSPO 💛🥰 finally upgraded my 7yo super basic, uncomfy Ikea sectional to a Kardiel Dominique in Marigold Velvet; it was a marketplace bargain basically brand new from a real estate stager for a fraction of the msrp 😭 appreciate all the time + effort you put into your content, you're one of my fave channels!
Thank you for your thoughtful answers to all of our questions. It takes courage to be both vulnerable (talking about your personal life) and transparent. As a long-time viewer (I subscribed during the weird year we collectively experienced), and I've been curious as to how you got started with your channel. I love your content and vibe. You've inspired me to really lean into my style and gave me ideas for my own home. Edited to add, I think if you do virtual home styling for potential clients, it can be done via (Google or Webex obviously) but also a client can maybe to a video walk through of their home and email it to you before any video consultation, so you can have idea of what the client is working with. Have them create some sort of mood or vision board of the style(s) they like, provide a budget of funds they're currently working with, how much time they anticipate taking to decorate their space, etc. This way, you can do some online "shopping" to find items that fit into their vision and budget, then provide them links to the items for purchase, and so on. With the images of the person's home, you can do some photo shop to decorate the space with the items you've found online and provide a picture map/infograph of where things would or could go. Once the client is done with their home makeover, maybe they can send you photos and maybe another video walk through so you can see the completed result, and maybe if they're up for it you can share the process as a series on your channel. I feel like that was a lot I was trying to explain, but I hope it made sense.
This year has been the first time that I've had an apartment all to myself and I love it! I've been going with a Whimsygoth aesthetic and it's been great! A couple of weeks ago, I went through my very small box of Christmas decorations and found myself really unhappy with them. Mostly in the sense that they were all things that were either childhood ornaments or small things given to me by my mom. I love all of them for the love and nostalgia behind them, but I really didn't want to use them this year. So I did something I never thought I would ever do in my life. I bought I mini artificial BLACK tree and found some D&D string lights on Etsy (yes, I'm a D&D nerd). I ordered purple ones to go with my decor and it's really charming! I'm hoping to actually build my decorations to suit my style. I guess I just hadn't realized until now that I COULD do that with even my holiday decor. In conclusion, go forth and force holiday decor to match YOUR style!
Hi Steffi, I too love living alone in my moody maximalist one bedroom Seattle area apartment. I enjoy your channel very much. I'm happy you and Hilo are healing. Thank you for sharing, this Q&A was great😍🖤
Hey Steffi, with regards to your question about what would be the most useful decorating service to provide, I would say, for me at least, sourcing decor to match my aesthetic but also keeping to a budget is the hardest part for me. If I were to seek out an interior design service, it would be specifically to help me actually shop for piece that fit my aesthetic and are in my budget. 😅 Just my two cents 😊
❤❤❤ Love your videos. And I love cat.. I honestly feel any advice that you share with us all. Is greatly appreciated. I'm still trying to work on finding my style or restyle.. I'm kind of torn between witchy, Cottage core, a little goth,. I love that Ruby Glass in black amethyst, and mercury glass. In copper pots and pans. Just to name a few things. And yes I love Cats, I have two of them. Marco and Cleo. And thank you for doing these videos you are very creative person!
So glad your back and you are doing so well. Love the q&a and you had great answers. Love your kitty and yes I live alone with my cat too. I don’t really think it’s living alone cause my cat is such great company. Your interior style is the absolute best, and dark decor is very appealing to me. I think I’ll check out your games you mentioned and get a Nintendo.. best of luck and happy holidays. I’m laying low this year, like my space and alone time too.
I'm so glad I found you♥️ I also have that same back table haha I found it for free at work they were recycling it. And seeing how you've styled it with the couch in front I may take a similar approach! It's currently in my front hall. But I'm moving into a new apartment which will fit it perfectly!
Hi Steffi, this is a late question. Can you tell me where you purchased the gorgeous living room rug? I also decorate dark and that rug would look so good on my room. Thank you
I enjoyed this, thanks for sharing these bits about yourself and more. Aren't we all complex? I share a few things with you and enjoy seeing someone else like you in the similar. Your decor esthetic is edgy and old world and modern mixed together and how I like my own place. I bet many would like to consult with you for design ideas and would hire you for private virtual discussions and styling. No offence meant by the following, take it for whatever it's worth. About relationship I experienced, I had a long past relationship, on and off for years, even got married. Roller coaster. In hindsight I wanted the relationship but didn't quite realize how I was being taken advantage of and was a crutch for someone else's need to make their way in the world and their emotional immaturity. It wasn't a two-way street, not in any aspect at all, but I gave in to my romantic and ever hopeful inclinations. Futile. Wouldn't recommend yo-yo-ing with on-off relationships. Didn't do well then, can just as easily get back to same debilitating situations as before. The friendship aspect you have with the ex can be had but, limiting interaction in this new beginning of yours will strengthen your independence from someone not beneficial as a thriving romantic partnership. Let not nostalgia for some past good times suck you back to a bad orbit. Now you're living alone and loving it, and it gives you control over your home life, creativity, and offers emotional haven. Should someone come along to adjust that for, at least you can take the time to know the truly exceptional person, vs. the old comfort but bad for you in the long run person. Wishing You and Hilo Peace and Happiness for the Holiday Season and New Year Ahead!
I completely agree! Her decor is spot on, she’s happy living in her space with the lovely best friend kitty. We obviously don’t know all the details, but the wrong kind of people always want to crawl back into one’s life when things are going good. Protect yourself Steffi, forgive, but never forget. Wishing you and Helo a cozy, chill and peaceful Christmas with your family🎄 Shout out to your dad-he always knows how to fix stuff when you ask, that’s love ☺️
Hi 👋 I will ask again…Forever 😂 please find me and send me detailed pics of your lamp beside your bed. I would love to try and reproduce it. Please, please, please 🙏 I always look forward to your videos.
😂😂❤❤ I love your cat! So beautiful 😍 I really enjoy your videos very much and thank you! For answering my question (Starry.Night.30) ❤ I don't have kids or a lover for that matter, personally someone day I would love that. However. I can't wait to live on my own! 😊😂😂 Thank you! For answering.

It's a good day when I see a Moda Misfit video! Really really really needed it today!
Glad the healing process is going well! Living alone is the best thing ever, karaoke parties whenever you want 🙂

The trilogy was awesome though 💙
This might be a stupid question but did you reusethat wallpaper or did you buy the exact same one again?
Hope you’re coming back soon!
Vases are sold out!

Does anyone else think Helo acts like a dog? At least what I can see from the videos. So cute.
