My daughter and i were at that Wardruna show at Red Rocks in Oktober. Seeing them perform live was spiritual and nearly brought me to tears as it was an emotional experience. To be present to see the live debut of Hertan was a gift.
Good afternoon! Going to a Wardruna ceremony with you is a journey back to our origins! They won me over with the beautiful harmony between the vocals and the instruments used! And I love shamanic drums! They are the basic sound of every shamanic ceremony! Be it indigenous to South America, indigenous to North America, African cultures, Slavic cultures with Mongolian ancestry, Nordic cultures, Celtic cultures, Eastern cultures, Asian cultures and all ancient cultures known as pagan peoples! The rhythm used in the beats alters our state of consciousness and the sound of the drum represents the beating of the heart! I have already been to a shamanic ceremony, in the middle of the forest, between the sound of running water and the sound of the wind among the trees! The connection with the elementals of earth, water, fire and air is very strong! The spirits that inhabit these places connect with those who are participating in the ceremony! And we leave there feeling spiritually lighter, more connected to the elementals and to our power animal! Jesus! Forgive me! I digressed! Memories came from times when I experienced this more closely! But everything in this life has a purpose, a time, and that was my purpose and my time! The techniques and memories remained! Both Wardruna, Elvør, Umet Ozcan and Otyken, who I have already followed on the channel and who use drums, enrich the harmony with the vocals and the other instruments! Thank you Tauri! Listening to Wardruna must have played a movie in your memory. This memory, this experience is only yours, lived there in Colorado! May others come, like Elvør, who you mentioned will be in Chicago in February! I hope you are well! 💖🌷🥰 (English is not my official language, that's why I use the translator! Every now and then I change the names of the musicians! It's getting old)
I have been on a break from listening to Wardruna and Nordic Folk in general and when I stumbled upon this song thanks to RUclips algorithm and after the first listen I was stunned but after a few more listens and studying the lyrics as much as I could I cracked out and tears rolled out of my eyes
i am loving this new song structure they have been doing with these new songs. very dark and moody which is then followed up with such beautiful soothing melodies.
This This is music. It's a woven tapestry of emotional pulling. Everything they do is Spectacular! This is music. Not the popcorn candy pop music. These songs are journeys. I love seeing people online (and ONLY) online fans. I can't find a Single listener with 0.1% of adventurous modern listeners. "It's too intense!" Yes! Exactly! Come enjoy the ride!
I love your reaction to this and to all the other Wardruna stuff, and you really connect to the deeper meaning. You obviously must be froom a part of England where the Danelaw had large influence (genetically and culturally). But.. As far as I ca see you have not reacted to Skugge ruclips.net/video/B74AK0MHxOA/видео.html&ab_channel=wardruna I am sure we all would benefit from your reaction to this
@TauriReacts , yeah, we had to fly across the US, to an East Coast airport, then take the flight to UK. It's just... when I'd return to my home in Seattle (across the channel) on a ferry - I was always struck by how it didn't look like America. It looks like a UK coastal town. Is Ireland green (and probably just as rainy). I really enjoy your reactions by the way. I'm a rabid Wardruna fan, but everyone I know has no musical bandwidth. I think they're honestly intimidated by the raw energy. The only place I can find my clan is watching Reactors react to those goosebump moments in Einar's voice, those insane War Horns! Ah! How do people not Feel that??!
Beautiful landscape...once full of forests where the bear would dwell. No forests...no need for the forest shepard...but will look god carved in a tree trunk...sad, isn't it?
i hope the translation is correct, but i guess it's ok flokefull veg // an entangled road frå fyrndetid // from bygone times til desse steg // to these very steps du og eg // you and i flokefull veg // an entangled road frå fyrndetid // from bygone times til desse steg // to these very steps du og eg // you and i ve du meg æra? // will you do me the honor? kun for ei natt // just for one night? skinnet ditt bæra? // lend me your bear skin du fengje det att // i'll give it back eg hamen deg lende // i lend you my shape kun for ei natt // but for just one night eg krev han attende // i demand its return avgjerda tatt! // the decision is made! hamen magna // my shape is infused with power trekkje som tolv // i've become like twelve eg kunne òg trenga // i might also need ditt lodne skjold // your furry shield hamen din aukar // your shape increases tyngre di bør // but so does your burden du skulle helst ynskje // perhaps you would like at alt var som før? // things to be as they were? hugsterk i hovud // a mind-strengthened skull tеnkje som ti // thinking as ten eg kunne òg trengе // i might need å fylgje din sti // to follow your lead hugen din aukar // your mind increases tenkjer som meg // you think like me du skulle nok nytta // you'd made good use å trå mine steg // of walking my trail gå ved di side // walk by your side ell ́ ryggjen ri // or on your back, ride eg kunne òg trenga // i might also need å kvila i hi // a rest in your den gå ved mi side // walk by my side ell ́ ryggjen ri // or on my back, ride du kunne òg trenga // you might also need å kvila i hi // to rest in my den eit skifte på veg // a change is coming eg kjenner kvart steg // i feel it in each step det kvervande hjul // the wheel that turns kallar i meg // calls on me gå under jord // to enter the earth byrje på ny // to start over again fylgje din sti // you walk your trail kvila i hi // to sleep in your den

There are not many bands or artists for that matter that can successfully make 5/4 rhythm feel THIS natural

The song Raido from their 2016 album Ragnarok is about a horse and also has a gotgeous video. ;-)

I don't watch it before I see it on the channel! Great Tauri!💖
i can only repeat, brutus, sugar dragon live in ghent. such a good song!
I think I'll have to react to the whole album here. I think it's the best album ever made by them

I'm from Northern England, a couple of hours away from York, so yes Danelaw probably had a huge impact.
@@TauriReacts Thought so... So York = Jorvik = Muddy Bay, actually 🙂
Tori, if you want green and grey - move to the Pacific NW. Temporate Rainforest.
I wish I could, but I'd be even further away from my family than I am now 😅

what are you talking about? this is completely nonsense. it's the highlands, the altitude is too high for dense forests.
i hope the translation is correct, but i guess it's ok
