This is one KICKASS Interview ! They don't ask Yngwie the same old lame questions, they let him explain how he came to be and it shows that he has quite a sense of humor. Also I Love It when he speaks in swedish he native language. It shows that he hasn't gotten so famous that he hasn't forgotten his homeland.

Yng' is King, awesome!!! The young kids today don't quite get how amazing his impact on guitar was and is....he, more than anyone, changed everything that was possible on a guitar.
Wise words from Yngwie:
"Everything is blues in rock n roll. I'm not saying this is bad. I'm just trying to say that it felt limited to me. My sister Lollo brought home a record called "Selling England by the pound" by Genisis. The version of Genisis that maybe many of you don't know with Peter Gabriel. Very neoclassic chords and stuff etc. I thought this is very hard to learn so I started listening to that and then I realised it was all Bach, Beethoven, Vivaldi. So that become my influence musically.
>Question from interviewer: "So you started to learn and copy those famous classical works? You started to create your own material inspired by the classical?"
No! I started to think like the classical masters. Inverted bass-lines, pedal notes, arpeggios etc.
If you just learn how to play it you are like a mechanical monkey."
I know a guy who has been playing guitar for a very long time. About 5 years longer than I have. I started when I was about 17, I'm 52 today.
I just looked him up in RUclips and he has NEVER wrote any music. He just keeps copying and playing others music.
I have music that I wrote. Many pieces. But I was floored when I asked him if he had any of his music recorded and he answered, "No."
I just couldn't understand it.
HIS book Relentless is great. A great read.
