Like him or not, he never ever changed. Still plays the same, dress's the same, same hair (even longer). He's true to himself. A true innovator. When I first heard him I was schocked, my jaw was on the floor.
That is awesome you had the opportunity to!🤘🏼🖤 I am hopefully seeing him play May 22nd in southern California. Do you have a music project? I think you might appreciate our band if you like yngwie 🤘🏼🤘🏼🖤😅
"Rising Force" affected and affects new listeners to this day. It's a mind blowing record. Malmsteen guitar is very recognizable and predictable to date. He's never changed his beautiful style for anyone, a true pioneer and legend.
Yngwie has caught flack for his personality since forever...I respect the guy personally....he has never given in to latest trends or image reshuffles to stay relevant...he is Yngwie Malmsteen 100% ....I respect the FuCk out of that!!
probably the greatest force on guitar to ever come out. People say van halen or hendrix but keep in mind youngsters could learn those songs. There was no learning to play an yngwie song for years after he hit the scene. you really had to practice that technique for years to get close
He always gives great interviews and is a very entertaining person all around. I am an old guy and I remember pulling that Flexi disc out of guitar player magazine and hearing the live version of Evil Eye. It was so far beyond what anybody had done up until that point it is hard to describe.
We grew up with Yngwie's music and with his tablature on hand. When i heard the first note of his guitar i was astonished!!Thanks for you music Ynwgie!!!!!!!!!
I used to hate this man when I was a teenager, but now I can appreciate the honesty in his words, and the man is even fun when speaking his views on music, definitly one of a kind.
1st time I ever saw him was at the second row of a concert in an opening band I'd never heard of: Alcatraz. I was 14 years old and this dude blew my friggin mind! I cant even remember who the headliner was, all I remember was Yngwie scratching his guitar across a chain link fence and playing incredibly fast and accurate solos. He even looked right at us, we were freaking out.
I wasn't a huge fan of his music in the 80s..I was into SRV and Brian Setzer, and still the Allman Brothers Band...since then I've grown to like it..and loved the Rick Beato interview. Now here...thanks!
If you follow the wind you may just blow away in the end, but Yngwie he feels Strongly so that we may also feel that sort of Strength. We must believe in what we are doing, and stand for something more..
I was about 16 when I first heard Yngwie...bought the first solo album in about 86. It was pure magic and still is!! Takes me straight back my teenage home and my youth.
We should all group together and form a fund to enshrine Yngwie in a Cryogenic Case should future generations ever need to revive him. Truly Yngwie Forever!
I had heard Yngwie was very arrogant but he seems really cool in here confident no doubt but grateful and that's a nice quality to still retain after all of his success ,but then again we all know he's a prodigy too! What an interesting guy!
I've always been amazed at Malmsteen's playing. Truly gifted. I think people are referring to leaving a little air space here and there, but other than That.. If less was Actually more then you could just stand there on stage naked with your guitar.. repeatedly playing a single open string and no one could hardly hear it because the amp is set to 1 n it's not loud enough.. It reminds me of Darnell in "My name Is Earl" telling Joy that street smarts is something dunb people say when they just want to associate themselves with the word smart. 🙄😂 They couldn't possibly produce a perfectly seamless flurry of notes like Malmsteen, so that's what they say.
Nice interview Yngwie Malmsteen ! Haha 😆 mo is more I can see that. 😂 your skills are irresistible to look at! Don’t sell ya soul to devils.. Steve Vai is My great Fav too wow ! And you got the Style!! Enjoying your performances 🎸⚡️🔥🎶💥
Hey we know all the rumors about his arrogance, etc. The fact is, he's a living legend and the original 80s solo guitar "god". I say, more power to him.
I love this guy 's Documentary on Metal. When he interviews,he listens and let's the stories be told.Yngwie is an amazing player!!!!He changed the game.Louder!! Faster!! Intricate!!
Well for one thing, he is the best, no doubt about that, and fender owes him money, he,and,Jiminy, hendrix, kept the strat, guitar popular, and with no,one helping them play, and give ing help, they did it,on ther, own, hats off to them!,,,!,,

Still Ferrari's and hot coed babes
"If you follow the wind, you will be blown away one day" Wise words to live by 👌
Yngwie has stuck to his vision and it has paid off for him. Just seen him in November 2021. The performance was as awe inspiring as always.
I saw him too November 2021... Carnegie Library Music Hall in Pittsburgh. Great show!
That is awesome you had the opportunity to!🤘🏼🖤
I am hopefully seeing him play May 22nd in southern California.
Do you have a music project?
I think you might appreciate our band if you like yngwie 🤘🏼🤘🏼🖤😅
Saw him 11/23/21 in Harrisburg PA. he was so awesome ,I was buzzing for a week ,that doesn't happen very often
Yngwie Malmsteen's now bigger than he's ever been
He is a living legend
We need to care Yngwie,
His confidence and originality are inspiring. He's always the same guy after all these years. Love him.
Not a fan in the least, but from this interview I see him in a different light now. He’s true to himself. Respect that immensely.

The Maestro is the Man. His playing and style set him apart from everyone else. There have been imitators but they all fall short.
probably the greatest force on guitar to ever come out. People say van halen or hendrix but keep in mind youngsters could learn those songs. There was no learning to play an yngwie song for years after he hit the scene. you really had to practice that technique for years to get close
MORE IS MORE. WE WANT MORE YNGWIE
Hell yeah!!🤘🏼🖤🤘🏼😌
Yeas we want more🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🎸🔥🔥🔥🔥
I've always loved Yngwie Malmsteen and still do to this day. He' was a HUGE inspiration to me. Brilliant artist most definitely!
He always gives great interviews and is a very entertaining person all around. I am an old guy and I remember pulling that Flexi disc out of guitar player magazine and hearing the live version of Evil Eye. It was so far beyond what anybody had done up until that point it is hard to describe.

The nicest musician I’ve ever met. Early 90’s. Phoenix. Very nice guy. Funny too.
Yngwie seems to have chilled out a lot recently. He seems like a chill dude now
I used to hate this man when I was a teenager, but now I can appreciate the honesty in his words, and the man is even fun when speaking his views on music, definitly one of a kind.
A great of music, despite his contemporaries guitarists, he was able to expand the genre and in a majestic way.....
His dedication to his trade, should be an influence to all...!!!
I have loved Yngwie since 85. I'm happy to see him getting mellow and wise. He's a legend.
Thank you for all of your musical contributions to this world!! I love you yngwie 🤘🏼🖤🤘🏼😅
Im 56 now and you were a legend already when i was 19
Yngwie... Pure Passion.... Pure Dedication... Pure Love for Music
I wasn't a huge fan of his music in the 80s..I was into SRV and Brian Setzer, and still the Allman Brothers Band...since then I've grown to like it..and loved the Rick Beato interview. Now here...thanks!
Great interview: very succinct words from a very focused musician.
I think he has an impressively sharp mind.
If you follow the wind you may just blow away in the end, but Yngwie he feels Strongly so that we may also feel that sort of Strength. We must believe in what we are doing, and stand for something more..
He is my hero and such a great guy !
Simply put, Yngwie Malmsteen is one of the most incredible musicians ever. His musical knowledge and ability is absolutely stunning.✌
The most pivotal figure in the shredding style and one of the greatest guitarists in the world, Bach would be proud.
Wow, thank you for being so humble and showing this side of you. Respect
”More is more! ”less is more” is just impossible” 😂WONDERFUL!!!!
I have always liked him as a person and a player. Remember it’s not bragging if you can do it. He one of the best.

I’ll never forget hearing Trilogy Suite Op 5, it changed my life. Such power.
I was about 16 when I first heard Yngwie...bought the first solo album in about 86. It was pure magic and still is!! Takes me straight back my teenage home and my youth.
The definition of a living legend!
Great interview. I am really a fan of his dedication and ability. And he seems much more of a regular guy as he ages.
We should all group together and form a fund to enshrine Yngwie in a
Cryogenic Case should future generations ever need to revive him.
Truly Yngwie Forever!
Greatest Classical electric rock guitarist in history.Mind boggling.SO many years of playing air guitar along with YJM.

I love your passion Yngwie J Malsteem, and your last part's of the video, your saying, make all the things in the world seem brighter.
What a good interview 👏
7:36 Really sweet. Not entitled, I find his demeanor admirable. Passion got it's reward this time. Not a sore winner. Rarity upon rarity.
Long live to the Maestro. The one and only.
Yngwie is forever one of the best to ever play a guitar. A true revolutionary inspirational legend.
I had heard Yngwie was very arrogant but he seems really cool in here confident no doubt but grateful and that's a nice quality to still retain after all of his success ,but then again we all know he's a prodigy too! What an interesting guy!
Great questions, honors answers. Great interview!
He really tells it like it is! Seems like an honest guy that just happens to have fingers of the gods.....

Playing my guitar is the one thing I look forward to every single day. It’s been a 34 year relationship so far
God I love this man and his music ❤️
One must feel strongly to make others feel strongly
It is impossible not to like him. Cool guy
Yngwie J. Malmsteen is really a cool dude, we forget he is Swedish, and us scandi's are quite eccentric too.
