Honestly when I started this video I wasn't too impressed, but as the video went on you could totally realize Theo being so eager to educate himself and connect with Tanja. I'm blind myself and yes I can type. I use a screen reader that audibly reads everything on screen to me and with various gestures with my fingers on my iphone and also the keyboard for my laptop. It took me 2 years to learn but I'm 100% independent. I LOVE answering questions about my blindness and other disabilities that I have. It's so refreshing to see a person so eager to learn and understand something they don't have a lot of knowledge in. And yes I did say "see". Most blind people don't change our vocabulary to listen or felt in place of see. When I say see I mean how I "see" or access information with my experience in the world. Listening and touching is my version of feeling so that's what I mean when I say it's awesome to SEE someone eager to learn. I am happy answering any questions anyone may have about my blindness so if you're reading this comment you can absolutely ask any questions you may have about blindness, but please know what's true for 1 blind person may not be true for the other. this is just my personal experience. Questions people deem as "stupid" a lot of normal people wonder and she answer them all with no aggression or upset, its a really amazing thing to watch. This kind of format could be incredible to watch for so many things/topics. This is honesty at it's purest form. Dope stuff Theo!
Props to Theo for his honest curiosity and willingness to ask the tougher questions.
He borders on insulting sometimes without quite being insulting, reminds me of a child, and makes for good entertainment.
Lmao yea like when he says "do you feel pretty blind"
Man this interview got me all emotional for some reason, she's so open, receptive and takes every question in stride its touching in a way.
When I saw the thumbnail with her name and just "blind person" I almost wrote it off as a joke and then watched and listened to one of the coolest podcasts I've ever found.
Really well done and interesting.
Absolutely filled with joy when she's explaining the cotton candy clouds and the drop top 747 dream, such a genuinely awesome, charming person and a beautiful moment. Bravo, great podcast and guest Theo!
She's awesome. Very soothing voice too
That's what I noticed is that a well. Just a well toned, beautiful voice.
Theo’s got the BEST normal human interviews with amazing questions, deadly one liners and the genuine person our Theo is … PERFECTION! ❤
Tanja is such a gem, genuinely made my day hearing her talk
