- Rachmaninoff - Prelude in G minor (op 23 no 5)
One last Rachmaninoff prelude for the moment - here’s my attempt at the G minor prelude. Some less mainstream uploads to follow…
Recorded on a Yamaha U3 Silent Piano using the superb VSL Steinway D-274:

Awesome crystal-clear playing mate, keep it up!
@@Propp_ Thanks mate!! 🙏 😊 🎶 Hope to see some new uploads on your channel too soon. Was listening to your Rach Bb prelude recently which is really awesome!
LETS GO MY FAVORITE RACHMANINOFF PRELUDE! THANK YOU! 😄 👏
@@frédéricchopinFan.9479 Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! 🙏 😊 🎶
Well done! Very powerful piece
@@T-J-S Thank you!!
Subbed, very promising channel
Well done!
@@gmfrunzik Thanks for subbing! Glad you liked the channel 🙏 😊 🎶
Quite a refreshing take on this! I really like when people don't just always take the obvious voicing and articulation everywhere.
Less mainstream uploads soon? Any chance of more stuff further into post-romantic music?
@@loganm2924 Thank you!!
I was thinking something 20th century (but approachable)….
@@PriceLesS-nf1zd Excited to see what it will be!
@@PriceLesS-nf1zd Maybe something by Ravel? Like his Le Tombeau de Couperin or maybe a later Scriabin work would be cool too.
@@bkui27 Thanks for those ideas - I’d love to do some late Scriabin but I’ll need some time to work something up. Or Ravel too - I’ll have a think!
@@PriceLesS-nf1zd Yup, Scriabin is tough for sure! If you don't tackle one of his bigger works like his sonatas or the Fantasy, I'd suggest some of his Op. 11 Preludes or his Op. 12 No. 2 Impromptu.
Wow! My father also plays the piano but not nearly as good as you! 🥰🤩
Thanks for your message - I’m glad you liked it!! 😊 🙏 🎶
Beautiful performance! I always found this one to be quite uncomfortable to play
@@YannickStreibert Thank you!! Yes - I find it awkward to play too. But I can really imagine you playing this piece.
@@PriceLesS-nf1zd thank you! I performed it live in 2015 for a couple of concerts, but have not touched it since then
@@YannickStreibert I would have liked to have heard it back then!
