- Sharing my current Ty Cobb and T206 collection.
Topic = Having friends in our hobby.
I don’t obtain 3 of the T206 4 Ty Cobb cards without friends.
Anyone can bid on cards at auctions & buy at LCS / shows & be perfectly happy. That is how I obtained the “bat on shoulder” Cobb. However, there is no memory associated w/ this Cobb other than opening the package. Memories will be made though.
With the other 3 Cobbs, I have stories & each is meaningful in different ways but share one thing, friendship.
Dave helped me with the “Green Portrait”. Dave puts out great content & reminds us about his Hobby Rules even when not displaying them. @signedandslabbed just rocks.
I will always associate the “Old Mill - Bat off shoulder” w/ Matt who makes me laugh on a daily basis. Plus, Matt has his own t206 (& t205) Cobb stories. He also long ago inspired my own custom eye appeal sticker based on his fantastic profile pic.
The “Red / Orange Portrait” has so much history w/ the previous owner, @nufcedcards . I was lucky enough to hold it at the Philly Show while in the company of old & new friends. Then “poof” it was in my collection 4 days later after a Sunday night text exchange.
This hobby is about 100% friendships & then relationships. Always remember that as I do. Special thanks to @theshowandme & @TonySchaefer-r7n / Monster Cards.
Now I can get back to my Steve Jeltz, Pete Reiser, Robin Roberts, & Philadelphian Eagles 1948 to 2017 QB pursuits. 😂
Incredible Cobb collection. All great looking cards. That Nap Rucker is one of my favorites as well thanks for sharing 👍

Awesome background and discussion on the T206. Forget Microsoft and Apple stock, give me a time machine, and I am loading up on those $20 T206 Cobbs all day!

@@AngryOldManTTM thank you. 🙏. Appreciate you taking the time to watch. That check is also a favorite of mine. Got really lucky meeting the NY state-based lady who framed it for me & the 2006 eBay purchased of that 8x10 photo with the facsimile signature.

Amazing run of Ty Cobb items Tony! Then you break out a bunch of other amazing T206 cards! Great stuff my friend!
@@EverydayCardCollector-Jason thank you for watching Jason. Saw a video last week about t206 progressive proofs. I got giddy like a kid at a toy store & then thought of our conversations about printing.
@ That is very cool!
I actually kind of like that you cover the grades as I enjoy pausing the video & guessing the grade.
@@ASMRPeople thanks. I try to keep the topic away from subjective grades. 🤜🤛. I really appreciate you watching. 💯

I wasn’t sure originally about including the price guide portion in the video due to length
then I thought what the hell, it’s my video. 😂
