Even if it does represent him who cares? Did he say he hates blacks? He wishes something bad on blacks? The French players have African origin. That doesn’t in itself represent “you”
@@oliviaanderson1210 several people do, the song if offensive to blacks who didn’t ask for Europeans (and ESPECIALLY FRANCE) to colonise them, force the language upon them, and control their peoples and economy via a divide and conquer approach, treating some groups and parts better than others (France STILL has control over their economies. They make the British look like saints in comparison) and say that their lands were FRENCH before “leaving” (France didn’t leave) and then wondering why the peoples of the countries they helped screw over now go to their country when they are desperate (no, it CANT be due to the language barrier) to live their and turn out to be far better sportsmen (if the French don’t want them, just don’t allow them into your sports). You’ll probably say I’m “defending” him and being “racist”, but please read carefully… to me it’s the exactly opposite
I’m ethnically Irish. My ancestors were also invaded and dominated by the British nation I’m now a part of. @@ian-flanagan But you keep treating it like its the same, I think thats where the disconnect occurs and why you cant seem to understand. The amount of history in reference to discrimination and racism that black people faced being in europe is SO MUCH more than caucasians simply because there skin was black, they were seen as less. The reality is that people are VERY unlikely to say you're "not british" simply BECAUSE you are white, but a bukayo saka definitely will get those comments, Thats why we this statement ". I think we should all be respected/disrespected equally, regardless of uncontrollable characteristics." in itself is unfair and makes no sense, some players DO need more protection because they are attacked more. @@ian-flanagan so you didnt like it when people disrespect your irish background or they didnt call you British because of it. @@NawUniqueHandleBut surely the best way to beat racism is to stop treating black people differently…
If you give positive discrimination to counter-balance the negative discrimination, 1) they will never match up and equalize, and 2) you will constantly be trying to _measure_ the discrimination size to balance it, which I think is not possible.
Britain was a mishmash of Celtic, Angle, Jute, Saxon, Viking, Scot, Pict etc. They undoubtedly abused each other, but the problem wasn’t solved by ethnicity-based protections, but simply by normalising ethnic diversity and treating everyone the same.

I’m fully aware of the irony here, but you need to be more understanding that other cultures are different to your own. It’s kinda weird that our culture gives extra protection to certain groups based on immutable characteristics. It’s a bit more natural to respect (and disrespect!) equally.
I have a preference (which is probably coming through), but I don’t objectively say one is better or worse; but I’m saying that expecting or demanding other cultures conform to your world view is a type of intolerance.

Niran making 2 videos in a day, what am i witnessing? 💀
the cataclysmic head injury has now changed this man more than the just-as-cataclysmic knee injury
I don't understand how being called African is racist and this chant probably started after they won the world cup, plus we always make fun of the France team and now yall know racism all of a sudden smh
it seems that was for Mbappe i might be wrong......... but my question is do you guys remember the 2018 "Africa won the world cup" thing? was that not racist?
that Astrid bit, blew me away😂

"He's sorry because he's been caught."
- A MP to Boris Johnson.
the chant was probably made after the World Cup final win against France and it continued till now
it started on twitter a bit before the 2022 world cup
It’s just strange why they’d even be thinking about France after winning the copa america it’d be like if spain started chanting about morocco or something after they won the euros
nope, it was created during the 2022 World Cup, and it was created by Argentinian fans, got popular when a group of them sing it in an interview going into a match
@@isaaccc726 yes no idea why they sang it. probably cycled through other songs after the dressing room celebrations. very stupid
It was made right before the 2022 WC, but yes
The trans part in the chant is because mbappe had dated a trans girl
digusting behavior from argentina. deduct 6 points from everton
😂😂
As a Chelsea fan it sucks how many “fans” were saying He’s(Enzo) right, he’s done nothing wrong, the world’s gone soft, Fofana is overreacting so sell him etc but I’m still really proud of Wesley(Idk if that’s weird cos he doesn’t know me) for not letting it slide and to an extent publicly calling Enzo out. Also as a trans person the “subtle” transphobia sucks but sadly doesn’t feel out of the blue for the footballing world…
People who say he's "overacting" are generally uninformed and call it "woke" behavior and instead of learning why it affects him they just insult him
@@ohmawgawdVEVOHow does it affect him?
@@ohmawgawdVEVOno just cause you are world champions doesn't mean you can make derogatory remarks
@@ian-flanagan the chant and general rhetoric is that because Wesley and many of his compatriots hold African heritage they aren’t properly French and thus are unfit to play for the national team even though most ofthe players who face this rhetoric were all born and raised in France(Thuram was born in Italy)… of course it affects you when someone says “you aren’t really French/English/German, you shouldn’t be playing for our team!” especially given it’s rhetoric that follows a loss; Özil is German when Germany wins but an immigrant when they lose…
If it helps, I fully support you being trans and I wish you all the best having to deal with these awful bigots
Man if he wouldn’t just recorded that live stream everything would’ve fine
They're still racists 😭
No, everything WOULDINT be fine because that just makes them racists behind doors, the live stream just made it for the world to see what they truly are like, the stream was not the problem- the people are
Everyone in Brazil and Latin America known this about the argentina team and fanbase for decades tbh
I can’t tell who’s more racist. Spaniards, Italians or Argentinians?
Bro it is not indigenous black 😂it was the mapuches bro there was a lot of black people in Argentina bc of the slave trade but indigenous black people no
The overlooking on the transphobia in the chant is worrying a lot. The whole chant is fucked up, and anyone saying it's just banter are not a part (or involved) of any of the groups of people discriminated in it. We're in 2024 and people still lack this perspective. It's so worrying.
Theres no such Thing as transphobia
Lmao don't even watch the song about the Jewish, the natives, or the Arabs, the Argentines made
@@eliaslopez2740 Please tell me they have a good one about England... just asking for a friend. 😀
As a Chelsea fan when the season starts they should bench Enzo until things cool down or give him a pay cut on what he is earning at Chelsea or give him a 15 match ban until this gets resolved because this is ridiculous.
woke
Chelsea is cooked 😭😭😭
Can't catch a break lmao

Whenever issues surrounding race arise, you are always at hand to provide brilliant analysis on it. What’s more, you called out the transphobia from the chant too, massive props to you for doing it! Top quality content as always.

Why all the heat only on Enzo ??
There are other players involved in the video, you all should go after those players as well, not only Enzo
Fully agree 👍🏾 👍🏾 well said.
As a Chelsea fan i'm terrified of the fights on the pitch breaking out from our own players this season...
It's just a popular song here. That's it, really.
You all act offended because you haven't won anything. Dont @ me.
Would this be racist if Enzo called Podolski, Polish or Costa, a Brazilian or funnily enough, Rishi Sunak an Indian? I am pretty sure not…everyone would be unfazed but here we are. Also where was this energy when Griezmann & Dembele actually mocked the Japanese? I guess they’re a bit lower on the priority list when it comes to racism as the only race subject to it somehow always seems to be a particular one
Racism against asians particulary south asian indians were banter
@@AgroKopite And this isn’t?
it's almost like both things are wrong and should be called out. What's your point even bringing this up, it has nothing to do with the situation.
probably racist anyways.
the indigenous and black population still lives in argentina. yes they’re in the minority due to the genocides carried out by the spanish but they’re still there and acting as if they’ve been “wiped out” only contributes to their erasure. it wasn’t your intention but vocabulary is important when talking about these groups as white argentinians do anything possible to erase their existence.
I’ve met sore losers but sore winners are rare
All South American countries and clubs have fun when they win by insulting the rivals. Lame Europeans and progressives wouldn’t understand. It isn’t “sore winning” it’s just having fun
Hahaha chealsea you're screwed 😂😂
It’s not a racist chant, it’s Argentine pride at the fact that we have HOME AND GROWN talent, we don’t need ( for lack of a better word) “fake” players like how the French need duel nationals to fill the team with good players.
But if you are African, and feel French, who am I to stop you, I just think that the argentines are very prideful of being Argentine through and through while the French rely on duel nationals to have a good team.
Then the chant should be about Argentinian home grown talent rather than attacking another country. If the French players were white from other European counties then there would not be the chant but it's only because the players are black. And what which generation would you class "fake" players as home grown, 3rd generation, 4th generation?
Most of the French team were born and raised in France
@@kamranbeglane8400LMAO Argentines aren’t lame like that. You think they are going to win and sing chants about “oh we are so happy our talent is home grown” WHAT? In Argentine culture, the “puteada” (similar concept to banter but way more extreme) is central to football. They treat each other like this or even much worse within Argentine club rivalries. If you did a song “celebrating” that the national team is home grown you’d be laughed out of the room. There are many songs celebrating good things about your club or whatever, don’t get me wrong, but in this context it would be laughable
@@kamranbeglane8400
The chant attacks Mbappe
Mbappe has been outspoken in his hatred and despise for south american football.
He said that south american football is not developed, he also said that the euro is better than the wc because there are no south american teams, and he also hated spanish speaking players in PSG (being that the reason Herrera, Paredes, and Di Maria left the club). Look it up.
there's almost no black people in Argentina, you would think you're in Europe. While in Europe you wouldn't know if you're in Africa or the Middle East 😂
its called immigration
