    Professor DeBacco
    Myrcene: Sent, Location and Properties
Myrcene is a monoterpene found to be the most abundant terpene in cannabis.
    Scent: Earthy, sweet, musky
Foods that contain myrcene: Mango, hops, lemongrass, thyme, and guava melon and lemongrass
    Medical Benefits of Myrcene
Anti-inflammatory and anti-mutagenic (inhibits cell mutation, including cancer cells)
Suppresses muscle spasms, sleep aid, and also has antibacterial properties as well.
Studies show that myrcene may make THC more effective, which is why it has been said that consuming fresh mango (or other foods with high concentrations of myrcene) prior to consuming cannabis will increase the effects of the cannabinoids.
    Inaccurate Information about Myrcene
Myrcene is important because its presence determines whether a strain is indica or sativa.
According to Steep Hill Labs, if a plant has more than 0.5% myrcene, it will produce indica-like effects.
Anything less than 0.5% myrcene produces sativa-like effects.
Myrcene is also known for its antibiotic, analgesic, and anti-mutagenic properties.
    Cannabis Strains with Myrcene
    OG Kush
    Blue Dream
    Remedy
    Grandaddy Purple Agent Orange
    ACDC
    Jillybean
    Harlequin’s-Tsu
    Purple Urkle
    Tangie
    Critical Mass
    Grape Ape
    El Nino
    Himalayan Gold
    Skunk # 1
    White Widow

It’s kind of a mind blow when you tell us that there really is no difference between indica and sativa other than morphology. I always was under the assumption that indicas were more of the couch lock. And sativa is more of an energetic high.

mine have always been as you say, or i thought they did. if its down to myrcene only, am i wasting time with sativas as they're a pain the ass with their long flower time. fascinating.

sativa is Latin for cultivated by man - indica is latin for from India, people enjoy broken words. The "indica" is afghanica so its not even "indica"

In short... no, the terpenes must be produce from and with-in the plant.
