You are an excellent teacher.
Excellent video. Very nicely explained.
Great video. Many of my concepts got cleared. Also, thank you for taking a case of free server for explaining aws setup as I was skeptical about some hidden charges I may incur during free server setup. Kudos!

excellent sir
Good explanation
Awesome Videos!!!
I think AWS charges for elastic ip that attached to a stopped aws instance as well.
Hey Saneej, thanks for checking out our tutorial!
AWS allows you 1 elastic ip(EIP) address associated with a running instance at no charge. However, you will be charged for each additional EIP that you associate with that instance per hour on a pro rate basis.
Hope this helps. Cheers!
Q.1 Are community AMI free of cost under aws free instances?
Q.2 How many instances can I create simultaneously and run under a free tier? Also, Do I have to take care of space utilization lets say I can run 3 instances using 8 gb per instance so I don't shoot up free tier usage?
Hey Sahdev, thanks for checking out our tutorial! With regard to your first query, you can terminate instances unlimited no of times but the only disadvantage will be you will loose all the data when you terminate one instance.
Now, If you leave any instance running for few days, it will involve cost when the no of hours will exceed 750 hrs in a month. So it's better to stop the instances, before leaving the work.
AWS Free Tier Limitations For EC2 Instance :750 hours per month of Linux, RHEL, or SLES t2.micro instance usage750 hours per month of Windows t2.micro instance usageFor example, run 1 instance x 1 month or 2 instances x half a monthExpires 12 months after sign-up.
As part of the AWS Free Usage Tier (aws.amazon.com/free/), you can get started with Amazon S3 for free. Upon sign-up, new AWS customers receive 5 GB of Amazon S3 standard storage, 20,000 Get Requests, 2,000 Put Requests, and 15GB of data transfer out each month for one year.
When you will exceed the above free usage limit you will be charged according to aws.amazon.com/s3/pricing/.
Hope this helps. Cheers!
i am working on unix, so which one is best for me AWS
sysops, develop, solution Architect
Hey Dhanraj! sysops, developers work in creating the system that is deigned by AWS architects. Being an architect requires you to have high level of knowledge of all the tools that can be used. The sysops then build the system. Developers use cloud solutions to develop services and solutions. So do you want to design and build - or use AWS resources to develop? Demand is still very high for those trained and certified in AWS.
Hope this answers your question.
Thanks
Hi we can connect using public dns instead of direct public IP.why because public IP may change in case any non availability or restarting EC2 instances but public dns is standard one it will not change even if we restart the EC 2 instances.
PLEASE READ: If you are using a Ubuntu 16.04 instance, you will need to install PHP7 instead of 5, but you can downgrade.
I have one doubt,
If our instance is stopped and started again then we will lose the data in that instance, is their any form that we can't loose the data if we start and stop the instance.
Thanks in advance.
Hi Harish, when you stop and start your instance, you lose any data on the instance store volumes on the previous host computer. Your instance retains its private IPv4 address, which means that an Elastic IP address associated with the private IPv4 address or network interface is still associated with your instance.
Hi, How to associate EC2 instance with EBS Volume?
Hi Manoj, an Amazon EBS volume is a durable, block-level storage device that you can attach to a single EC2 instance. You can use EBS volumes as primary storage for data that requires frequent updates, such as the system drive for an instance or storage for a database application.
every time when i reboot my system so will i need to edit the IP ????? or it will take automatically why becoz i am not using static ip???
Hey Praveen, If you haven't rebooted the system then you don't have to change the IP address in security groups associated with the instance. But if you reboot, IP changes. Since you are not using static IP, there is no other way, you will have to go to security group & change the IP address. You can ask google server "What is my IP" to get your current public IP & modify it in the security group.
Hope this helps!

i have a problem, i cannot connect to one of my instances, what can i do for solve this?
+migmat11, thanks for checking out our tutorial! Could you please elaborate on the issue or error you are facing while connecting to AWS instances? That will help us support you better. Cheers!
I am getting this error while accessing the instance
Warning: Identity file **********.pem not accessible: No such file or directory.
Permission denied (publicly).
Please suggest
Hey Amit, thanks for checking out our tutorial!
Assuming you are trying to connect to your instance using the terminal, the pem file that you will be downloading should be present in the "pwd" (Present Working Directory). Therefore, in whichever location you are executing the ssh command, the pem file should be present in that directory. To simplify this, you can also punch in the address of the pem file, instead of just the file name. :)
Hope this helps. Cheers!
Amit: You might be giving spaces in between the words of tile name. But Linux doesn't understand space, you need to find the file in location where it was downloaded and select the file name from that location. It will let us access.

If you are using a windows machine, then the process of connecting to instance through putty is given in this blog : www.edureka.co/blog/ec2-aws-tutorial-elastic-compute-cloud/
Do try this before bidding goodbye. :) Au revoir. Cheers!
