So moving... so sad. But also such brave and proud people, who lived there as a Community. Thank you for this important film "témoignage".
Thanks for posting this Elisabeth. I used to live in nearby Verdant Lane and sometimes walked through the prefabs on my way to Foster Park. Many of the prefabs were well maintained with nice gardens and it always seemed to be a happy community.
This was lovely. It brought back so many memories of growing up in Camelot Street just off the Old Kent Road.
I was born in a prefab, and lived there until 1964. That prefab was eventually demolished in, I think, 1985
One of the properties I'm looking at is a prefab, being very cautious and the estate agent can't find the age of the place, but plenty of space for the money, if it was normal construction it would be another 100k I bet.
