I started like 15 franchises with different teams but after 1 game I'm like hmm I think this team would be better. Thanks for making this top 5 so now I will just choose one of these and keep them
I took a different approach on the Jets rebuild. It hurt to do this as I am a Dolphins fan, but seeing how you were able to do the Lions and now Bears, i felt like I could dive into a rival team. I pretty much looked at the roster and decided i was tanking year one. So i traded Forte for picks, traded the McCown and tanked with Heckenberg. When he returned from injury, I believe i traded Quincy away for picks as well. its been 3 years, and i ended up winning the super bowl. it was a tough year, had to battle the Patriots in 2 critical games, week 16 was the battle of 2 11-3 teams, so the division was up for grabs. I ended up winning that, got to the playoffs for the first time with the team since i took over, and AFC Championship game got paired with them again, and it was an easier time ironically. Beat the Redskins for the SB win. I drafted a QB after tanking, he was 80 overall to start, and i got him in the third round. he was in the mid 90's going into year 3. I signed D Hopkins in year 2 which gave me a good threat as a WR, and i followed that up with year 3 trades of Kupp and Doctson. and it made for a well rounded core at WR. I drafted some studs at CB going into year 3. I am not even close to being done, but I am glad i went out of my comfort and rebuild the Jets. Just hope it doesnt happen in real life #FTJ
A team he didn't mention that I think is kind of a sleeper for a good franchise is the Indianapolis Colts. They have Andrew Luck and T.Y. Hilton on offense to start, which might deter most people, but they have a bad O-Line, no Tight End or 2nd/3rd receiver really, and their defense is just awful. Not to mention the AFC South is a division on the rise with Mariota and the ground and pound Titans, Watson, Hopkins, Watt, Clowney on a Texans team that's arguably a playoff caliber team, and the Jags who may not scare a lot of people to start but are a team that's quickly rising and could be scary with a franchise QB to replace Bortles
Cj Beckwith colts have moncrief and he is a great 2nd reciever and a redzone threat only reason you havent heard of him is because he have been injured for most of last season and when he is in the game you can bet that he will have a touchdown every game
The Browns seem almost too easy this year. Added a lot of young talent and all those draft picks make them seem like an easy rebuild, at least in Madden.
i was looking for a video like this for so long and i'm glad to see my boy hurricane put something out about it because knows what he is talking about. I settled on the lions last night tho but ill keep this in mind for next one.
MrHurriicane yeah true my best one was a jets franchise as soon as the game dropped. but what excited me about the lions is the playoff drought and the lack of a household name on offense. after a season i transferred to a cover 2 completely on defense. and really created a challenge due to the fact of how difficult it is to find good zone coverage linebackers. and while im setting up defensively ill be looking for a quarterback to eventually uproot stafford if he cant produce in the later months of the season. while also finding someone who can live up to the shadow of Calvin Johnson. They def are more mid-tier than the teams in the video the only problem is the don't have the strength to get them through later playoff rounds at all to start imo. The uncertainty of either rebuilding or contention really excited me. thanks for the reply though
Versace God exactly give detroit an identity its such a big city with such a great story but its football team has seemingly been mediocre. I got these like 6"5 undrafted zone cover 2 linebackers and an elite 6"7 left end. and stafford is in his second to last year and if we dont win a playoff game by then hes gone. its fun to immerse urself even tho the game is so basic and cane does a good job of doin it thats why hes my fav youtuber for franchises. but once i gave detroit that identity it felt like that was my imprint as if i created an era in that city and not just traded for some superstar developments and won a championship
Wicked smart idea on using Kyle Juszczyk as a 3rd down back with the 49ers. Dude is getting paid like a boss, makes sense to include him in the offense.
Honestly I think the Chargers are a good team to do too. I picked them for my long term franchise. Here are some reasons on why I think they're a good team. 1. Both Rivers and Gates are going to retire soon so they are on the brink/already on the rebuilding stage. 2. They just relocated to L.A. so you get the freedom of rebuilding their stadium whenever you want to and get to play in the small yet cool StubHub Center. 3. They have some young pieces, but not too many, mostly of which being on defense. Their most promising player is Melvin Gordon as well as some talent outside with Tyrell and Mike Williams aswell as Jason Verrett as their future man-to-man CB.
I was thinking of doing the Bengals- questions surround Dalton being a franchise QB, plus Joe Mixon and John Ross will be fun to play as. The o-line is a mess, and the front 7 needs some new faces outside of Dunlap, Atkins and Burfict. The secondary will need new faces as well. I thought it would be a fun team, with young skill position players on offense, but needing a rebuild on defense. Could take 4-5 seasons. Thoughts?
In my opinion, if you rebuild a team like the Browns, you should trade for Jimmy Garopallo. You don't always find an easy to trade for, quick development quarterback. He may have a low overall, but he can be a franchise QB easily
Another good option would be the Saints, since they play in a really tough division, and have a lot of work to do, especially on defense. Also Drew Brees is 38, so he won't be around much longer.
philip ginter I was also surprised that the Jaguars weren't on this list, since they are a talented team but have been horrible for as long as I can remember
Yep. And no backup QB in the wings for NO's either. Compound that with the fact that they're trying to contend while Brees is still around essentially eliminating the ability to draft a viable alternative. It's going to get messy quick, it'd be a fun rebuild fosho.
Wolf Scott honestly the jags in madden are amazing there team has few holes and since madden doesn't take into account what happens in real life and goes only off of ratings there a great team
You guys pushing Cane to start the Bears franchise need to just bear in mind that Cane didn't start his Chargers franchise until September 12th last year. Ain't nothing wrong with waiting until the patch to start up. Be patient.
I picked the Bucs this year for the reasons you were saying. I'm focused on making the secondary better, plus getting faster up front to stop CMC and the Two headed Falcon monster
The dolphins... especially after trading away Ajayi are really frustrating. They have a GREAT WR depth, but Parker doesn't produce if you simulate the games. The offensive line is offensive, I think a 78 or something is the best. No real TE Tannehill this first year is injured and after is 30. The defense has Suh and wake(who will retire almost immediately) and a couple young prospects in Harris and godchuax Jones and McDonald at safety are okay but will age and regress quickly. Corners are young and there's some serviceability but overall they won't really develop into much more than slot corners. A decent punter, a not great kicker. This team is a truly miserable... I would love to see you rebuild them.
Thank you finally someone did it I'm stuck between the Browns and the Rams I know the browns have some nice draft picks but the Rams can have a explosive offense and have something to build around on defense
I used the cardinals in my franchise and won the super bowl in year two. Traded for mariota who is a great franchise QB. Kwon Alexander is a superstar and Mike Evans and JJ Nelson are studs. Pat Pete is grey and ty is a pick machine, not to mention DJ in the backfield and running deone bucannon at SS. Traded a good amount of picks and old guys (not Larry) away to get the team. Great team to rebuild imo
Great videos Mr. Hurricane however I have one question for you regarding Marquise Goodwin. Why would you not develop his route-running and his hands it is much cheaper to do that then it would be to try to get somebody up to a 95 speed and at the contract that good one has that's a good option
Last year i made the 49ers into a playoff team after 1 season and they were a lot worse last year and the jets in 3 seasons, i was just very good at drafting in those franchises and signed some low 80s to high 70s free agents
Mr Hurricane have you noticed that the cpu end of season stats in franchise mode are a bit too high on the defensive side? In my franchise, aaron donald had 2 separate years of 30 sacks. Not user controlled, didnt even play my team to farm sacks. shit was wild. and players were recording way way too many ints. in a few seasons I've had 10 or more players lead the league with 6 or ints in the same season.
Hey Cane, I hope you see this. Before starting your Bears franchise, could you create Tanner Gentry. The guy was a stud in camp for the Bears and as of now is on the practice squad. I made him in my game basing them off his combine.
Some pretty solid talent but nothing top tier outside of Norman and Reed. Have to choose if you keep Kirk and Pryor, various holes all over. I just started my first depthy series aswell on my channel.(Eagles) Would love to have you around for any feedback. First time doing any kind of live commentary and editing.
I'm going with my Bills this year! We had the worst offseason ever, so i'll try make something out of thoses picks and redeem the curse! The best franchise I played was a Browns franchise though.
Did anyone else create rb in franchise and your QB gets sacked all the time ? And it's not because of the o line but the QB just doesn't sense pressure and stays in one place to get sacked
No love for the jaguars? They are a super young team still with a lot of upside. Bortles is almost usable first year and fournette carries the offense well. Their offensive line is bad but that's one of their only franchise downsides
Bills would be a good team have a stellar RB and decent QB and with all the moves bills have made in the offseason and preseason make them a team that needs a rebuild
Wanna have some real nostalgia bringing fun? Download an old roster and start a franchise with the teams you liked back then. It felt like I was playing an upgraded madden 2005 from when I was a kid.
Agreed man. I just started an Eagles series, would love to have another fan franchise content around + as an eagle fan more than happy to listen to your thoughts aswell.
I got to disagree with what you said about randy moss over desean jackson as far as deep throats go in the last 10 years. Randy as been retired since 2012 and hes last good year was 2007
Cane you probably know this, but just in case, pass coverage in this game is god awful. It's way too easy to get easy pass yards on offense and then get 200+ passing yards put up on your defense, especially if you play a lot of zone, which is what I do in my LA Rams franchise

Adam Mcinerney same!!!
Yeah, common problem I have too. Brutal redoing all of the settings and pre-franchise stuff!
Adam Mcinerney so relatable
For someone that is still a bit undecided on what team to use for Franchise in Madden 18, this helps! Thanks man.
I took a different approach on the Jets rebuild. It hurt to do this as I am a Dolphins fan, but seeing how you were able to do the Lions and now Bears, i felt like I could dive into a rival team. Tre Production Yeah true, but that still leaves a slot recover to be found and no running game with that offensive line
Cj Beckwith they have frank gore and marlon mack as rbs and the oline is getting better
Tre Production I can agree with that but it still needs some work
I did them last season and had a lot of fun with them and I think they're even better this year (franchise wise)
The Browns seem almost too easy this year. Added a lot of young talent and all those draft picks make them seem like an easy rebuild, at least in Madden.
I remember watching your old Vikings franchise videos back in madden 12 and it’s good to see you still succeeding.
i was looking for a video like this for so long and i'm glad to see my boy hurricane put something out about it because knows what he is talking about. I settled on the lions last night tho but ill keep this in mind for next one.
Lions aren't bad either. They're kind of in the middle of the league. I wouldn't call them as fun as the Cards, Chargers, or Bucs tho.
More Kalispell please
Kimber 612 Yo I did the same thing and got rid of Stafford when I declined his contract then picked up a 85 speed QB and went to Run N Gun and Cover 2
Versace God exactly give detroit an identity its such a big city with such a great story but its football team has seemingly been mediocre. The sheldon richardson failed trade was funny
I'd have thought NYJ would be the ones who weren't interested.
In my opinion, if you rebuild a team like the Browns, you should trade for Jimmy Garopallo. You don't always find an easy to trade for, quick development quarterback. He may have a low overall, but he can be a franchise QB easily

Wolf Scott that was my thought as well. Saints will be a challenge

This is so good- I actually used the broncos but this taught me how to play with them instead of relying on certain players
You guys pushing Cane to start the Bears franchise need to just bear in mind that Cane didn't start his Chargers franchise until September 12th last year. Ain't nothing wrong with waiting until the patch to start up. Be patient.

Been here since 13k 🤙🏼
Lamichael James
Been here since 12k 🤙🏻
CME cool only real subs remember when he did his raiders franchise in Madden 13
Lamichael James I remember his old Vikings franchise. Cane is great every year
His Vikings Franchise was the best the raiders one was cool because of the QB he had I think his name was Papa something lol
Goku ikr Can't wait for the New bears franchise
this was a really nice video.. I'm glad you gave the bucs some love :)
The dolphins... especially after trading away Ajayi are really frustrating.

I would love to see you rebuild them.
Always wanted a video like this thanks!
I was thinking about doing the Rams but I really am intrigued about the Jets and I think I'm going to change my team to the Jets. Thanks!
When are you coming out with your bears franchise
When the roster update comes out this Friday. That's when he said he would try to start on it.
SeaGL Gaming and the patch
I didnt think id want a long term franchise but after my saints one last year, im hooked. Im doing the jets this year
Thank you finally someone did it I'm stuck between the Browns and the Rams I know the browns have some nice draft picks but the Rams can have a explosive offense and have something to build around on defense
tom sully yeah they have Sammie Watkins now too so I'm just waiting for the update
I used the cardinals in my franchise and won the super bowl in year two. Traded for mariota who is a great franchise QB. Kwon Alexander is a superstar and Mike Evans and JJ Nelson are studs. Last year i made the 49ers into a playoff team after 1 season and they were a lot worse last year and the jets in 3 seasons, i was just very good at drafting in those franchises and signed some low 80s to high 70s free agents
When does the next kalispell video come out
That's what I said earlier
Really want to see your breakdown on the colts like this
I'm doing a franchise with a friend of mine. I'm using the Jets & he's using the 49ers. Not going to lie, it's been rough so far lol.
I don't play the games I just put it on the super sim mode where you watch it so user doesn't effect the games and it's purely based on team skill
Is it better to do franchise offline or on the cloud this year ?
It’s been almost 7 years and I still play this game. I didn’t know it was available on the PS five
Hey Cane, I hope you see this. Before starting your Bears franchise, could you create Tanner Gentry. The guy was a stud in camp for the Bears and as of now is on the practice squad. I made him in my game basing them off his combine.
Yo hurricane thanks for the help I looked up this video because I was playing Madden 18 and I picked the Cardinals
MrHurriicane I plan on doing a Washington Redskins Franchise. Can I get some feedback on that?
Some pretty solid talent but nothing top tier outside of Norman and Reed. Have to choose if you keep Kirk and Pryor, various holes all over. I just started my first depthy series aswell on my channel.(Eagles) Would love to have you around for any feedback. First time doing any kind of live commentary and editing.
Thanks for the vid, super helpful to choose
I'm going with my Bills this year! We had the worst offseason ever, so i'll try make something out of thoses picks and redeem the curse! The best franchise I played was a Browns franchise though.
I have a question can I switch quarterback on Madden NFL 18?
Pray hurricane Irma goes away #saveflorida
We want All-Madden sliders!
Awesome video tho. I'm waiting for a good slider to start my franchise with the Saints
Maykon Vinicius I'm doing all pro this year
Maykon Vinicius use charter04 set on operation sports
Thx really narrows down the team i want to choose.
Are they are 4-3 defensive scheme now
What about Carolina? Think they would be fun to do?
What are your thoughts on the broncos? I think they would be an interesting team to pick but what do you think
The Cardinals and the 49ers would be great teams to rebuild. Thanks Cane!
Thoughts on vikings? Good rb, good "young" def and a a young wr like diggs, also a beast of a te in rudolph... gotta work on line and qb
Whats your opinion on a saints franchise rebuild?
I chose saints last week and i'm currently 10-5 right now. Tied for 1st with Falcons in my division
Cane I was actually considering the Colts for a rebuilding franchise, what are your thoughts? Is that a good choice?
And by the way happy birthday
Squidward Tentacles no
Thank you for this Cane!
What sliders are you planning on using for your franchise
What're your thoughts on the Jags for a rebuild franchise?
What do you think about the bengals for a franchise??
What franchise do you think I should go with. Browns or Eagles?
Does anyone know when the week 1 rosters will be out
zack manerd Friday
Think the Jags are a good team also. Very young and solid D players.
I want a okay middle of pack team that can win games but still need help? Anybody got ideas
Did you record this video before the J.J. Wilcox trade?
I'm doing a 49ers franchise series they loving it our record is 5-2
Did anyone else create rb in franchise and your QB gets sacked all the time ? And it's not because of the o line but the QB just doesn't sense pressure and stays in one place to get sacked
No love for the jaguars? They are a super young team still with a lot of upside. Bortles is almost usable first year and fournette carries the offense well. Their offensive line is bad but that's one of their only franchise downsides
I am doing a Cards Franchise do you think that is a good franchise
Evan Murphy yea
When does the week 1 roster update arrive ?!
Nvm he mentioned it in the video lol
What si te best young team?
Bills would be a good team have a stellar RB and decent QB and with all the moves bills have made in the offseason and preseason make them a team that needs a rebuild
Thanks this is a very helpful helpful
I'm just waiting for that update to drop so the QB AI and zones are fixed. Only then, will I rebuild my Jets.
And I wanna see what sliders you decide to use.
Wanna have some real nostalgia bringing fun? Download an old roster and start a franchise with the teams you liked back then. It felt like I was playing an upgraded madden 2005 from when I was a kid.
Been here since 19k my favorite all time series has to be Carolina panthers franchise
If you do the 49ers do cj bethard he go's to a 76 overall in the 2nd season
How about the Detroit Lions. They already have a god Qb. But to me the rest of the roster is a huge question mark, especially the front seven.
Wait you did Arizona but not Houston??
Still can't decide between the Jets or the Bills.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY
If you're going for the 49ers, you won't have Jeremy Kerley, he's on the Jets now, and rosters update Friday
I'm in the 2020 season divisional playoff against the redskins by the after a 15-1 year and I lost against the broncos in week 12 17-14 lose
I used the Cardinals and I got so many injuries during the season to players like the honeybadger and fitzgerald.
Jj Wilcox was traded to Pittsburgh
Bruh I've been using Cleveland bruh they are a beast in my second year especially with those draft picks
The Madden rating guy has a grudge against my eagles. Jordan Matthews would not be an 84 overall if he was still with us
Agreed man. I just started an Eagles series, would love to have another fan franchise content around + as an eagle fan more than happy to listen to your thoughts aswell.
And the best defensive team for the past 3 year and the best rushing defensive team only letting 625 rushing yards
What sliders are you using for Madden 18?
I'm doing lions
what franchise are you doing
Eddie James bears
I'm hoping for an 80 overall for Deshone but that is probably being hopeful
Cane imma do the Arizona Cardinals this season!
I have already started a bills franchise we are 7-6
Do you have a ps4
I got to disagree with what you said about randy moss over desean jackson as far as deep throats go in the last 10 years. Randy as been retired since 2012 and hes last good year was 2007
LMAO best typo I've ever seen......
corey what is?
Cody McChristian "deep throats" lol
Oh lol I meant deep threats
Did you miss the Bucs signing TJ Ward and trading JJ WIlcox?
Cane you probably know this, but just in case, pass coverage in this game is god awful. It's way too easy to get easy pass yards on offense and then get 200+ passing yards put up on your defense, especially if you play a lot of zone, which is what I do in my LA Rams franchise
Jeremy Kerley was cut and Kendrick Bourne is a beast
Thanks
I think picking a team to rebuild in the AFC East is best, because you already don't have to worry about being great until Brady is gone lmao
for OG viewers u will remember Rod Streeter he is on the Bills now
I like the Browns but those uni's YUUUCK
I would give up so much to get OJ Howard on my roster in every franchise. He's way too dominant
