No, that is the truth. Romans 3:23. Romans 3:9-10. First John 1:8. First John 1:10. IF we say we have not sinned we call God a liar. ALL men are sinners. There is none righteous, no not one.
The good news. Second Corinthians 5:21. For He hath made Him, Jesus, who knew no sin, to be sin for us, so that we might be made the righteousness of God IN HIM. Romans 6:23. For the penalty for sin is death, physical death, but the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE, through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Romans 4:5-8. But to him that worketh not, but BELIEVETH on Him who JUSTIFIETH the UNGODLY, his faith is counted for His perfect RIGHTEOUSNESS. Without His perfect righteousness, no one will see God.
Romans 3:26-28. For He is the JUST and the JUSTIFIER of them that BELIEVE in Jesus. Where is boasting then? You cannot boast in a free gift that we did nothing for but believe it. John 3:18. Romans 11:6. Romans 1:16. All grace, no works. Free GIFT. Not of ourselves. Ephesians 2:8-9.
Galatians 1:6-9. Anyone who preaches any other gospel than First Corinthians 15:1-4 is accursed of God.

Hello brother! I love that I stumbled on this on a 13 year old video haha. I appreciate your comment, though I'm not sure if I see a disagreement between you and Tim. Is he not describing a saving faith that brings about obedience? The book of James talks about doing the word, and not only hearing it, because a faith without fruit is not a genuine faith - it's not that the fruit we produce saves us.
Our works are as filthy rags before God, 100% agree with what you're saying, though isn't there a precedence in scripture for true faith bringing about obedience...
Romans 1:5 (ESV): 5 through whom we have received grace and apostleship to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of his name among all the nations
And that we are saved for obedience to Christ?
1 Peter 1:2 (ESV): 2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in the sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience to Jesus Christ and for sprinkling with his blood: May grace and peace be multiplied to you.
Some other scripture comes to mind...
      Bear Fruit:
      - 2 Timothy 2:12 (if we deny him, he also will deny us)
      - Matthew 7:16-20 (recognize them by their fruits)
      - Luke 3:8 (Bear fruits in keeping with repentance)
      - Matthew 24:13 (the one who endures to the end will be saved)
      Obedient Faith
      - James 1:22-25 (doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves)
      - 2 Corinthians 5:21 (For our sake... we might become the righteousness of God)
      - Matthew 7:21-23 (Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father)
      Repentance:
      - Luke 13:1-5 (unless you repent, you will all likewise perish)
      - Hebrews 12:1 (lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely)
      - Luke 18:13-14 (God, be merciful to me, a sinner... justified)
I'm encouraged to see this though, genuinely! I'm still trying to learn more myself. God bless!

@@loganjacobson891 The gospel. First Corinthians 15:1-4. That Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, that He was buried and rose again on the third day, according to the scriptures. First John 2:2. And He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world. But, John 3:18.
Romans 1:16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVETH, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Romans 6:23. For the penalty for sin is death, BUT, (the good news) the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus finished work on the cross plus nothing. Jesus paid it all and we paid 0. Romans 3:26-28.
Galatians 1:6-9. Though we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel unto you than that we have preached unto you, LET HIM BE ACCURSED. As we said before, so say I again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received from us, LET HIM BE ACCURSED.
Romans 11:6. Salvation is all grace apart from any works. Romans 4:5-8. Romans 3:26-28. You cannot boast in a free gift, that we did nothing for but believe it. John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that BELIEVETH on Me, HATH EVERLASTING LIFE. Gods promise to us. John 10:28-29. Hebrews 13:5. First John 5:13.
First John 1:8. If we say we have no sin, we are DECEIVED and the TRUTH is not in us. Romans 3:23. Romans 3:9-10. We have to be as righteous as God to go to heaven and no one is. We only have self righteousness. Not the righteousness of God that comes by faith. Romans 4:6. Just as David (who committed adultery and murder,) describeth the blessedness of the man to whom the Lord IMPUTETH righteousness, APART FROM WORKS. Romans 4:7-8. Blessed is the man whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.
Jesus paid our sin debt in full on the cross. John 3:16. Jesus said it, we believe it, and that settles it. John 3:17-18. Believers are no longer condemned to hell, but UNBELIEVERS are condemned already, because they have not believed on the name of the Son of God. First John 5:13. We know we have eternal life. John 6:47. John 6:40. John 6:29. John 12:32. John 5:24. John 3:15. God is not a liar. Acts 16:31, Period.
Ephesians 1:13-14. Ephesians 4:30. Romans 8:9. Without the Spirit there is no salvation. With the Spirit we have eternal life. John 1:12.

@@jimkraft9445 thank you, well put! I'm still not sure where we disagree. I know we both agree that these scriptures are consistent. Ephesians tells us that we are blessed with every spiritual blessing and chosen in Christ before the foundation of the world. By grace we have been saved through faith, not our doing but God's, definitely not a result of work! We are God's workmanship, created in Christ for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Just as Jesus speaks of obedience as an outcome of our love and saving faith (John 14:21), Paul then urges in Ephesians 4:1 for us to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which we've been called, and in 4:17 that we must no longer walk as the Gentiles do, and in 4:22 to put off our old self, which belongs to our former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires. In 4:30 Paul tells us not to grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom we were sealed for the day of redemption.
Again, I appreciate your comment! Unless you're making a case for inconsequential persisting in sin I'm thinking we agree

@@loganjacobson891 How do you read John 3:16. For God so loved the world, everyone, that HE sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, that WHOSOEVER, believeth in Him, may have, everlasting life.
God knew before the foundation of the world by His foreknowledge, who would believe and who would not.
People twist Ephesians 2:8-9. They read it as though God gave us the faith to be saved. No, He did not. Romans 6:23. For the penalty for sin is death, physical death, BUT, THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE. The gift is not faith, and the gift is not by works. The Gift of God is eternal life to all who accept the free gift.
How a person lives has nothing to do with it. It is the GIFT of God. Those that are trusting in their own works are not saved. Matthew 7:21-23. Many shall come before me on that day and call me Lord, Lord, and tell me about all their good works. How they prophesied, in my name, and cast out demons, in my name, and did many wonderful works, in my name. But, they trusted in what they did, not what I did for them. John 6:40 and John 6:29. So, Jesus says, depart from me, I NEVER KNEW YOU. NOT I DID KNOW YOU AND NOW I DON'T, I NEVER KNEW YOU.
How does God know his sheep? Second Timothy 2:19. Nevertheless, the foundation of God is sure, having this seal, (Ephesians 1:13) the Lord knoweth them that are His.
Romans 8:9. Without the Spirit there is no salvation.
First John 2:2 And He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world. How do you know you have eternal life? Because Jesus died for every sin you have committed and every sin you will commit in the future. That is the only way we can know we have eternal life.
Most people who call them selves Christians are trusting in what they do, keeping the law, to be saved, instead of what Jesus did for us. He paid for all our sins so we can never ever be condemned again. John 3:18.
No sin can enter heaven. And we have to be as righteous as God. Romans 4:5-8. To believers, He has IMPUTED His perfect righteousness to our account, and paid for every sin we have committed from birth to death. Jesus paid it all and we paid 0. That is why there will be no boasting in heaven. Romans 3:26-28. You cannot boast in a free gift that we did nothing for but believe the gospel. First Corinthians 15:1-4. Since Jesus died to pay for all my sin, I cannot go to hell because I have no sins to pay for. The one blood sacrifice of Jesus covers us from all sin forever.
You should know, 100% you are going to heaven whenever you die because God said so .
First John 5:13. These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. John 6:47. God cannot lie.
God does not choose certain people to give faith to. He gives eternal life to them that trust in what He did apart from anything we do.
Ephesians 2:8-9. For by grace ye are saved, through FAITH, it is not the faith that saves us, but the GIFT of God that saves us, not of works, lest any man should boast.
Acts 16:31. Period. John 5:24. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that heareth my word, and believeth on Him that sent me, HATH EVERLASTING LIFE, and shall not come into judgement, but is passed from death unto life.
God gave man a free will to either accept what He did for us to save us, or trust in something else, our own works, which cannot save us. We can only be saved by what He did for us plus nothing. Nothing else can save us but what He did. Once we believe it we are saved forever even if we never believe it again. Second Timothy 2:13. Salvation is a one time event. Acts 16:31. Saved forever or not saved at all. Romans 1:16.
I hope this helps. Jesus died for every sin of every one in the world. Those that BELIEVE it are saved forever. Faith apart from any works. Romans 4:5. And all of our sins are paid for. All the sins we have committed, and all the sins we will commit in the future.
God does not want His children living in sin. So he will chasten us. Colossians 3:5-6. The wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience. Saved people who are living in sin. Never loss of eternal life, but loss of life and loss of rewards in heaven. First Corinthians 3:11-15.
Once we become a child of God through the new birth, He will never cast us out. Hebrews 13:5. It is impossible for a born again believer to become unborn again. But we can be chastened by the Lord even to losing our physical life.
First Corinthians 5:5. Turn such a one over to Satan to kill the flesh, so that HIs Spirit, (Ephesians 4:30) may be saved in the day of the Lord. Colossians 2:13. He has forgiven us ALL trespasses. This was a born again believe who was sleeping with his fathers wife. The man was saved through the new birth, Ephesians 1:13, but was about to lose his physical life.
In Second Corinthians he got out of that sinful relationship and came back into fellowship with God and the church.
Once we become a child of God through the new birth. Ephesians 1:13-14, our sin debt is paid in full. But we can destroy our own life. Not our eternal life.
I hope this makes sense. The best news in all the world. Jesus died for sinners which we all are. Romans 3:23. Romans 3:9-10. James 2:10. If we have broken the least of His commandments, we are guilty of all. Once little lie would be enough to send us to hell forever. But, Jesus paid the penalty for our sin so we can never ever be condemned again. John 3:18. We have Gods word on it. God gives eternal life. John 10:28-29. Not faith or a reward for good behavior, but the GIFT of eternal life. apart from any works.
IF I have said anything that does not agree with scripture, I am wrong and God is always right. John 3:16-18. God said.

The only reason I cannot go to hell now or anytime in the future, is because He paid for every sin I have committed, and every sin I will commit in the future. Paid in full. No longer condemned to hell. John 3:18. First John 1:8, IF we say we have no sin, we are DECEIVED and the TRUTH is not in us. Galatians 2:21. I do not void the grace of God, for if righteousness was by the law, then Christ died for no reason. He had to die to pay our sin debt in full, so we can never ever be condemned again. He paid the debt and set us free. First John 2:2.
