Thanks for sharing these great resources. I always enjoy listening to your helpful hints on teaching. I’m first year out in Griffith NSW after just moving from the Central Coast. I use Twinkl subscribe and I’ve used it heaps. I’m also a subscriber to Teach Starter. I didn’t know about the other platforms you mentioned & The Wheel & Go Teach especially sound great so I will check these out and share these with my colleagues. As a new teacher your videos have given me helpful, relevant & clear advice, without the fluff talk. I like your realness, Bec, and that your local. Lots of great resources out there but not many are local. And it’s all free! It shows your heart.

I stumbled onto Talkin' Chalk a couple of years back and have found some very useful tips and resources. The ones that have been really helpful have been thed interview and writing job application tips as recently I have looked at changing school and I has been a while since I had updated my CV and remembering some key things when going for an interview. Thanks Bec! Your channel and resources are great, keep up the terrific work!

I've only recently found your channel. I'm a beginning teacher in the NT (secondary). I have found your channel so useful to my teaching practice. I particularly liked the onenote template. Since downloading it I have adjusted it for my NT context. Having everything in the one spot saves so much time! Since I started teaching I have been amazed by the generosity of other teachers sharing what they know. Thank you

I am a secondary trained teacher (NSW) who has switched over to the ACT system this year where I'm teaching primary (Year 3). Since most of my experience has been with Grades 11 & 12, it has been a huge change. I discovered your channel late last year and have been binge watching to prepare me for the jump into primary. Two weeks in and I'm keeping my head afloat! Thank you for everything you post, it has helped immensely.

I am a University student (NSW) who is one semester away (the upcoming Uni semester, actually) from becoming a graduate teacher. On my first prac, my mentor teacher sent me a "starting kit" that included your channel, specifically links to the six-episode PST series. Those videos helped me immensely in getting a leg up on my first prac and relieving the stresses I had about teaching. Whilst I am still in University learning, I always keep an eye out for your videos and have learned a few skills that will be extremely helpful when I begin my first 'official' day. In particular, your episode about One Note has changed how I use my digital documents to store important information in one place. Thank you for your videos; they are very helpful!

Wow! Thanks for these great recommendations. I’d never heard of The Wheel. It looks amazing! We don’t have access to all those wonderfulMicrosoft people in country NSW. I’m looking forward to getting online and learning! How could I not have heard of Go Teach This! I love Twinkl - like you, especially for those with extra needs.

Hi Bec. I'm a teacher in SA and love your youtube channel, FB and Instagram posts. I've been teaching for around 35 years and STILL there is so much to learn. It's always changing and things seem so much trickier these days. I love watching your videos and always gain info and insight. I love your down to earth chatting ways, which work around all the jargon and on the weekends it doesn't feel like 'work' when I sit down to catch up on what you've been up to! Thanks and keep 'em coming! Always engaging and relevant.

I'm in SA. I love all your tips & ideas. I loved learning about One Note, as it helped me so much. I think what I appreciate most is your willingness to share & to help others. You always freely share resources. You always answer questions & comments, & even encourage us to contact you directly. I remember that I emailed once and you answered quickly & shared your resource. You are amazing in all that you do and through your platforms have helped many educators. Thank you.

I love your generosity of sharing. I believe that as a profession we are each others best resource and you epitomise this. Your videos are fun to watch (loved meeting your parents!), full of interesting ideas and information and accessible for everyone. They should be included in university courses, I recommend them to all my colleagues, both begininng and experienced teachers. Thank you for all you do.

Thanks so much for your Talkin' Chalk videos. I subscribed to your channel last year. I am teaching in rural NSW and have utilised your videos for interviews and applications (did not get the first executive role I applied for but will keep trying and strengthening my skills), teacher wellbeing (my own wellbeing is also going to be a main focus for this year), reading instruction, differentiation, feedback and behaviour management and more. Your videos are my first go to when I need further information on anything. I think your advice is relevant to all teachers no matter what their career stage. Thanks again for keeping it honest and real.

Hi Bec, I and a teacher here in QLD and
I stumbled upon Talkin Chalk last year and have found so many of your videos helpful! Whether it be for my professional practice or activities for the kids. Some of my favourites - learning how to decorate mugs as gifts for colleagues - must do and can do activities for literacy centres and One Note! Thank you for your dedication to the teaching profession and sharing your knowledge and love of teaching with all of us out there. It really opens up a world of professional learning possibilities.

I think you are amazing to give up your time to help teachers. I’ve picked up many great ideas and strategies from watching your videos. Even this gift giving video introduced me to The Wheel, Createl, Go teach this and the sticker one....sites I’d never heard of. THANK YOU!!
I’m in Queensland btw and would love to win one of your packs. Regardless of winning or not I still want to say thanks! Keep up the great work. 👏👏👏

For me Talkin' Chalk has really open my eyes to new ways of organising and programming. OneNote has been the best thing for me in my classroom. Everytime you upload a video using OneNote I get super excited. I love how you share all the templates and resources on multiple platforms to make it easier for everyone to access. Your enthusiasm is contagious. I love how you openly talk about the real things that go on in the classroom such as overwhelming teacher workload, classroom behaviour and noise levels. It really puts me at ease knowing that no matter the years of experience you have there is always something new to learn. I really hope we cross paths and meet one day. A very big thank you for creating this channel and sharing ans that you know. I'm so proud to know that there are great teachers like you represent Australia in education. A huge thank you from another teacher down under, Miss Salem!

Talkin' Chalk has helped me in so many ways as a beginning teacher. You as a person are so helpful through email, and the channel itself is talking about real in-depth information that sometimes we as teachers arent receiving or need something explained in a different way.

I am a teacher in QLD and have watched and rewatched many of your videos. I am always recommending your clips to colleagues. I have a professional development onenote where I take notes, attach links etc.. During the Christmas holidays I created a Talkin Chalk section to my onenote, attached links to the videos I wanted to view, watched many, took notes and still have a few I can get to when I have time. Doing it this way I have evidence of professional learning which I can log. I have also shared your onenote planner with my teaching colleagues and we have tweaked it for our school. We load our shared planning units there so that it is all in one place. Thank you for all that you do to support us teachers. As you say sharing is caring and you obviously care very much. 😊

Thank you for your videos which inspire me to try new strategies, give me confidence as a teacher, reaffirm my passion and ability, and contribute to the collaborative teaching community. Your enthusiasm and energy is incredible - how lucky your students, school, colleagues and online followers are. I love that you are so down to earth and address issues that many teachers want to talk about but may not get the opportunity to in their busy school day. I believe the resources and strategies shared have been really useful for new and experienced teachers alike. Keep up the awesome channel!

I’ve been following from the beginning! Love all your videos but the particular ones that have helped me are about job applications, selection criteria, cv writing and report writing! (Just to name a few, the list could go on and on!). I’m from Sydney 😊 Thanks for building this community! It’s been so helpful for me since beginning teaching in 2017! X
