Right on brother!! glad you liked your gifts. All those rocks I found cuz of you from watching your videos. You don't know what you're creating over here lol. The dark new jade one comes from Middletown. There's a ton of it up there.Learn how to recognize those from one of your videos. The red one is from Bodega Bay think it's a churt. There's a creek with a lot of it. The other ones come from our front yard. The t-shirt reminded me of you and that encounter you had with that mountain lion. I really appreciate the respect you have for all living beings. Thank you that was really cool too see.🙏🏾🙏🏾
Wow! All the colors! What a blessing after so long of a drought! All the rocks that have been stirred up in the rushing water. And all the different types and colors, and patterns of just green! And the beautiful colors of jasper! And chert as you call it. The color combinations and patterns! They are going to make some fine jewelery or something out of it. Just amazing what mother earth has to offer. All you need to do is just open your eyes. And your gifts from a friend are amazing! Thank you Nate, for sharing your awesome finds with us, and the beauty of the world around us, where ever you are.
I thought I saw an eye on that one rock you asked what it was, like a lizard head. I didn't go back and look again but....lol
Weird.
Serpentine, what are we living on dead carcasses?
I think so, they're everywhere! Do t believe me?
Ha
Check out
Mudfossil University ..Roger is brilliant, he will blow your mind.
.love your channel Nate!
Nate, I’ve been watching a lot of your past and present videos. I’m not able to go exploring. Your videos provide me the opportunity to explore and see rocks and treasures I could not see on my own 🙏🏼
Love the music references, only a few will recognize
Great adventure and finds Nate. Thanks for letting us have the opportunity to follow you along. Quest On!
And sounds like a best music.
Beautiful green..rock..one of my favorites..great video..cool gifts.
Nice to come along for a river trip!!!! Thanks for sharing
You are so fortunate to be able to find such beautiful rocks like that jasper in the beginning by "accident", but then I don't believe in accidents! That magical mossy place could draw me in forever, and I love the Zep reference. I have a pretty little actinolite ring, beautiful stuff! What a wonderful gift of corn and other seeds. A good friend indeed! Blue is my color as well. I had a dream once where someone very emphatically told me that I should ALWAYS wear blue, so I do. Totally cool shirt too 😊
What the heck was that rock you asked for comments on? Be sure to pin the answer if you find out 👍 Love what you said about all the minerals to come out of CA 🎉 Come on details ❤🔥
Ooo Feel like an underwater hunt here? ❤
Good day!The stone on 9.34in wright upper corner like triangle can You saw it what is inside looks interesting different from others.Thhank You!

Beautiful piece of jasper!! Nice to see you covering so much of northern Ca.
Awesomeness my friend... I really enjoyed this revealing of beautiful finds and gifts....
How great.
Yeah, I can see that: Houses Of The Holy. That was the coolest album(on 8 track) that my Dad had. He'd be 90 if he was still here.
Super fun hunt. Love them Jaspers!! Beautiful serpentine mixes and maybe some jade 🤞😁💕💗💖
I’d so RC that place!
👀 neato! And close to home! Can't beat that! serpentine is amazing 🤩

3:30 porphoritic rhyolite... Just a guess tho...
You've found some really nice jasper there.
Top job thanks fore sharing 👍
Looks like a nice place to prospect
Maravilhosa
I wish I could find jasper like that in my ditches!
Man, how did I just find this channel? You have the best, most informative commentary, dude! Thank you! I plan on binge watching your videos now! 😄😄😄
Thanks
Wonderful sound of rushing water! 💦
Nice little hike, Nate! Thanks for taking us with you. If you had some of that green serpentine/serpentinite material in you shop, I would like to buy some.
Because I have found some cool rocks in my travels and I have no idea where to take them for money
Nate you need to start bringing a rock hammer with you and checking for Jade with it. Jade has a ting noise it creates when you hit it with a hammer. Once you hear it you'll never forget that sound. Because of its density, it makes that ting. You really have a great canyon to look for it there. Good Luck! I hope you find a ton of it! Also with Jade exposed to the natural elements in that canyon the rind will be misleading and discolored from Jade Green. So the ting of a hammer will greatly help you finding it. With all that serpentine there has to be some Jade.
I had a rock hammer but it broke on some iron pyrite.
Then I had bits of rock and a hammer handle.
At Jan.... when you hit rocks you create fractures and then the ability to enjoy your specimen, cut and polish just might not be what you wanted...
Jade is hard but not all that's beautiful is jade.. jade does fracture...
A nice wet dry Dewalt battery operated grinder might be helpful
@rebecca Well it's a technique I use and works for me. You're not trying to break the rock but listening to the sound of the rock to inspect it further.
This technique was also used in Guatemala in the 1980's when they rediscovered Jade there.

It's also used in metal casting large certain objects , in that profession it is called sounding, I'm sure that many people knew this and thought of it at the very least they would have said that it rings a bell.

Rebecca, your imput is always a refreshing cool breeze on a hot summers day, an extra blanket when it's cold, a take out meal when cooking has lost it's appeal, a loving hug when you're feeling low.
I could go on but I fear that like a broken pencil it's pointless and marriage is out of the question so don't ask.
Do you make anything of those rocks ?
Always nice to see your videos.Hope you get all stability in your life you need
Jade from outside is looking like rhinoskin for me.And like sugar similar .And has it own signs on it .
That green stone with flat sides might be aventurine. Not many green stones are jade.
That looks like Jade to me
There must be gold
Yes about to leave
Those are pretty nice too bad that I can't find any that New York State do seem to favor the color green when it comes to rockhounding
Federico Barlocher I am looking.
Have you ever gone to Jade Cove at Big Sur? if you haven't I think that would make a great video
I am really lichen the Nature's art on the rocks. Lol. And the green in the serpentine comes from the color of the moss leaching into the rock, right?🤪😁 OK, on a more serious note, It would be amazing to see what the more fibrous stone would look like shaped and polished.
when I slowed down at home and looked it was soft as soap stone but more powdery, I was hoping for a amphibole nephrite like creature but it doesn't quite make the grade.
@@QuestForDetails darn sorry to hear that. Maybe next time.
Hey Nate what was the three round stones because I have some but don't know what they are?
Question you think you could kayak down from Middletown or is that too crazy??
If we find rocks like that, where do we go to sell them?
Sorry for mistake
I'm learning also, it's all good, lots of information to absorb and it's tricky, rock on !
Interesting learn in jade markets videous on You tube, close looking gives an expierence for me.
did you cut the black one Nate? it looks like jade to me.
High water rock hounding, nate that sounds risky.
What if the water is not mellowed, what if it gets paranoid, you don't know what the water took and that could be a problem.
lol.
Where are you in CA
antigorite
Jade has a core not green
Thanks
