Travel By Bus (This is what we did):
Take a public bus from Singapore to Malacca. You can find bus services operating between Singapore and Malacca at various locations, such as Golden Mile Complex or Queen Street Bus Terminal in Singapore. Several bus companies offer this route, including Transnasional, Delima Express, and Luxury Coach (we used this company).
The journey takes approximately 3-4 hours, depending on traffic and the specific bus service.
Once you reach Malacca, you can take a taxi or local transportation to your desired destination within the city.
Travel By Private Car or Taxi:
You can also hire a private car or taxi to travel from Singapore to Malacca. This option provides more flexibility and convenience, especially if you're traveling with a group or have specific preferences.
Taxis and private car services can be booked online or through travel agencies. The journey usually takes around 3 hours, depending on traffic conditions and the border crossing.

We are the Bags Packed Family: Jonathan and Kelly with our three children. We sold our home in Alaska, USA, eight years ago, and headed overseas. We are teachers and found fantastic teaching positions in Chennai, India. Two years later, we moved to the United Arab Emirates. Three years after that, during the beginning of the pandemic, we made the move to our current teaching jobs in Indonesia. We love traveling and finding adventures as a family. Yes... Luxury Tour bus is very good. Used to take their service to Malacca return trip before COVID years, stop at few popular hotels and pick up from hotels back to Singapore.

P.S. that bus looks like our Peñafrancia bus (travelling to Bicol region, Philippines) though definitely not a double-decker 😅 we don't have those here

Nice! My fave way of travelling. Bus to msia preferably smaller towns. Food is yummy n affordable. D omly drawback is itd just as hot n humid. Love cameron highlands where its cooler.. malaxca is good gor food
There is a toy museum in melecca, free entry. Should be amazing for the kids. Went there few years back. Hopefully it's still in operation.

Traveling to a new country through land by border crossing is one of the best travel adventures as you get to witness the landscapes up close in detail which one really can't on an airplane.
Also, it gives a feel that the world is one connected place & you can enter a new region on foot!
Careful sometimes spinach has a bit of sand. Not thoroughly washed.
Hi Jonathan, actually u can request for small 2 or 3 plates from the hawker stalls so it’ll be easier to scoop anything that’s too hot. Once placed on the plates, the hot food will cool down faster & the kids can enjoy❤

Golden Mile Complex is officially closed. No more boarding points for buses to Malaysia. All the tenants and shops are moved elsewhere. It's En-Bloc for new development.

There have been cases of young children choking on fishballs. Would be safer to cut the fishballs into smaller pieces before giving it to Forest.

AWESOME VIDS AS PER USUAL GUYS LOVING MALAYSIA
This looks like a more expensive coach or bus. There are plenty of air conditioned buses/coaches running from the bus station to and from Melaka which are very comfortable and inexpensive. Book online. The bus usually make a quick 'pee' stop on the journey. The immigration in Singapore and Malaysia can delay the trip due to sheer numbers passing through at times. Overall it is a straightforward and pleasant experience.
I think u guys missed something at that Indian restaurant. They normally give out a standard set of rice and vegetables like what you got and then u were supposed to either order more food like the fish fry, mutton pieces, curry chicken and such. They would not serve anymore other than the fixed vegetables. The locals are friendly, should have asked. :)
As you know Saravaana is a vegetarian restaurant chain. Not much animal protein to order.

This a normal coach. Not luxury. Another luxury from/to KL -SG have tv screen, food, and much more legroom. The price is 30usd too
this may be a little too late but malacca has a lot of history and heritage. Did your coach come with a tour guide to introduce the destination?
We absolutely loved our stay in Malacca! It's a very historic and beautiful city.
If only you guys can settle down get teaching jobs in Singapore, get the kids to international school's here and own a basic housing here altogether. It would be so nice to see Singapore as a hub or base and you guys can fly in our regionally happily and fun always. Hoping for you guys to stay permanently ❤ I am sure followers will feel the same too🎉
