Thanks for showing us a soap conference, it looks like a great time. I hope your house sales quickly and smoothly. I also hope you get the time you need to reflect on your business and fill us in on the changes that you plan to make. 😊
I can totally understand how you felt about the ramble, which clearly shows how much you two must be going through in such a short period of time. Having such an amazing experience with people of like-mind, while learning things both for product improvement, leadership development, AND selling a home, all at the same time!? That's a lot of stimulation all at once, and many of those things are life-changing. Breaking out of the mold (no pun intended) is definitely a super uncomfortable process, and an introvert who's been able to do this to a degree, I'll admit that I'm still learning to be more comfortable in front of people. But nonetheless, you two are going to have a successful transition with all of this! You totally got this! Safe travels through the Rockies!
Yes I felt like my mind was going in a million directions and it definitely came across. It was very stimulating! But it’s time to focus and buckle down. Thank you for the encouraging words! ❤

I wish I had paid more attention to when this conference was taking place. I would have loved to have attended and met you and the others. I can't talk soap or bath bombs with my friends. They just don't share my enthusiasm. I'm kicking my butt now to have not gone to the market in Midland when you lived there. ( I live in Toronto) You definitely have so much on your plate right now. Hi! I'm a new subscriber to your channel, and I've just had the time of my life with you at the soap conference! Thank you so much for taking us along ( via camera). I enjoyed seeing all the soap artists and their fabulous creations! And it was neat to see all the goodies that were in your bag. Thanks again! : )
Thank you for sharing this.... just wanted to say that for me you are one the most Courageous persons I have come across ... though through you tube 😀 you are beautiful both inside out and I have learnt so much from you ... thank you and stay blessed always ❣️
I love conferences. I went to my first one in middle school and fell in love. You feel so inspired and all the possibilities for future growth. I’m an introvert too so I love the workshops and discussions, and cringe at the thought of awkwardly “networking.” But somehow someone talks to you and then it just flows from there. Looked like so much fun and I’m so excited for you two. You can do a brain dump and write everything you learned, heard, and were inspired by, then see how you want/can incorporate in your business. Plan and execute. I did that with a former boss and it just kept that conference excitement going plus we felt energized, productive and made such progress.
@@sl4983 Oh no! 🤣 I wish! Conferences in general. I believe that one was about diversity and equity in schools. But I’ve been to many including in high school promoting what we now call STEM careers, again diversity and of course as an adult conferences across different industries.
Well said. My most recent job was chaperoning college students to leadership or their field of study conferences. I'm an introvert to the core, but my job required being extroverted in this role. I spent a lot of time getting our introverts to make connections. We gave them tasks to perform every 2 hours like make a post in the group about a person they met.... student or speaker. It had to be a meaning comment to ensure they were making connections. If they didn't feel they were successful what they could have done differently. What would they say during a job interview using that example. They had to keep a journal, written, video or pictoral. When we get back to campus we debrief a week or two later to use some of those new skills they learned. And practice sending thank you/nice to meet you notes. Helps them get our of their comfort zones.
My team that I supervised that didn't want to attend the conference were the ones that experienced the most growth. They were more engaged when we got back to campus.
What a fun experience! I would love to be able to attend the conference in the states! Thank you so much for vlogging your time there and sharing it. Good luck with the listing and move. I got all teary when you were saying goodbye to Cale 💗
I am so happy that i came accross you and Cale, Jerika. You guys are such an inspiration to me starting my soap making very soon. In the meantime, i am just getting my stuff together as well as knowledge by watching all of your videos. Thank you so much! From Durban, South Africa lots of love xxx
This is by far my favorite one of your blogs. I’m not sure why. What was different about this one. But I really liked it and I felt like we came along to the trip with you and also on this journey with you.
There are so many things you mentioned that I want to comment on. For now, I’ll leave it at…all of this 💯. I love seeing you have fun and learn more about the business we all love. Praying for a quick sale on your home in Canada and the perfect house in the US.
I'm so so happy for you! You deserve the best! Please if you're ever feeling lonely or overwhelmed, just pop on a live and we'll come a runnin' to give you all the support you need! xoxoxoxo
Thank you for sharing, enjoyed watching this video I have been also following a few of people and through your videos I have purchased some products from Fizz Fairy and W&W they shipped my goodies all the way to South Africa via MYUS Shipping in Sarasota. I love watching Marie from Humble Bee and me and Arriene Arsenaut. I definitely have learnt so much from you also and hope to be one of your patreon soon. Wishing you all the best with your home transition
Thank you, Natalie! I’m glad you enjoyed! These companies do such a great job and sell amazing products - I’m glad your experience with them has been good too! ❤
Praying that everything goes well and that you find a house you like & need, also sell your current house. Keep the faith and be positive, IT WILL work out. It's so awesome you got to meet Ariane, I have been following her as well. Thx for sharing your journey.
You will get it done Jerika don't worry just be very careful with details and ensure that everything you sign has the eyes of a professional solicitor. Dont rush into anything. Listen to your intuition and stay safe 🙏 take care of yourself. I had to do the message posts in two bits its been a busy day also 😊 glad you had a good experience at the conference. Looking forward to seeing the next installment of the video.
This is amazing advice. Yes, I need to focus and cross all My ts and dot my is in the next few months. There’s lots involved in an international move !
Also, do you know maybeeee if there’s a soap conference like this in LA? I have to travel there soon and would love to attend a conference of some sort.
I watched your videos when you did your rebranding. You think about how you run your business. I am excited for you to have a boost of inspiration during this big transition. I look forward to seeing future videos.
I've wanted to go to the HSCG (in the US) but am like you, I'm so shy - but I think I will do it next year for sure. I'm so glad you posted the video. It has encouraged me
The conference was so intimidating but once you settle in it’s quite nice. But if you don’t want to talk or socialize, you can do that as well. Participation in anything isn’t necessary and I could’ve just sat in on the workshops without talking to anyone and it would’ve been fine. Hope to meet you in a conference some day!
It sounds like you had an awesome time. I'm jealous that you got to meet Marie Rayma, She's more in line with what I do! I've always wanted to meet her! The rest you mentioned except Arrianne, I couldn't tell you who they are, lol! I'm not counting vendors, just soapers. It's sad you had to go home alone! I know like must go on. Glad you made it home safe! Don't have doubts about taking time off. I'm just getting off a year hiatus. You do come back stronger!!!
Omggggg you have just injected so much hope in me lol. Hiatus’s are terrifying but so necessary and I’m so glad to hear success stories as a result of them. You’re awesome, thank you!
Loved watching this. One day I hope to fan girl over you and Ariane in person. Thanks for all the education it’s so appreciated to a new soapie like me 🤍🤍🤍
I hope you reopen soon! I haven't yet found any bath bombs comparable to the ones you make, not to mention that luscious face serum of yours. Love the conference footage and am so excited for you!
Thanks for sharing ,what a exciting time! I hope one day I can attend a HBBG Conference. I make soap, whipped bodybutters, creams and lotions. You are very inspiring of watching your videos!! It helps me in making cold process soap, learning to have a business the proper way. I'm still in the beginning stages and working on the brand and to be noticed. It is a lot to it I'm still learning. Thank you again for sharing.
There is sooo much more to it! I came to the conference not knowing what to expect and I walked away literally a different person. Good luck on your journey!❤
Jerika, it so good to see you and Cale in progress on your move! You have helped so man of us with tips and advice , just am happy for you! You seem so invigorated by the conference. Hope all goes well, and maybe we’ll cross paths at a conference someday.😊
I use your recipe and the bath bomb press I bought after seeing you use it two years ago. I have a hard time using it as the bomb always sticks to the top portion. Would you have any suggestions? Best of luck with your move. I wish you were staying in Canada!
Thank you Jerika for sharing your story. I loved watching this and the last few videos you’ve shared. I am no where near where you are in your business but am going through the moving process just like you. My husband works out of town. I won’t lie it’s tough. When we put our house on the market I had to sell my 12x30 soap shop and move most of my product into storage and soap from my kitchen again. Every weekend since October I’ve had to clean up my soaping and put it away. We since have sold our house and now I have to pack and move it as well as our personal stuff. My anxiety level is through the roof. I want to go to a conference so bad and once we settle in it is on the top of my list. I bought the Kombo butter and made a pain salve with it. You’ll love it. Your goodie bag is amazing. Keep your chin up my friend.
Omg thank you for sharing this story! So many can relate to packing up and starting over and the more stories I hear the more comforted I get about this transition. I’m wishing you so Much luck on your move!!! ❤
This looked like so much fun. I bought my soap cutter from Suds and Scents great little company who i try to support. I was feeling sad for you at the end when Cale left hOpefully everything works out fast for you 2 and you can get moved to the states soon (GOOD lUCK)
Omg Jerika so awesome. Well I LOVE kombo butter and you will too. It’s amazingly good for pain and salves and natural remedies kind of stuff. I initially ordered from Batak due to my sister’s pain and now it’s staple for me. On the other side please let me know where is that noodle place? As I shared before with you, my daughter has nothing to do with our Cuban heritage or American. She is totally Asian and every time I am watching your videos she comes over and said there is my girl Jerika ! Thank you for such an detail video. I am tented to attend one conference now, but my business is still small.
Thank you so much for sharing your conference experience. What an amazing event! I also follow some of the presenters there on RUclips, so it’s super exciting to see the fun and camaraderie amongst peers. I’m planning to attend my very first soap and cosmetic conference (2023 HSCG Annual Conference) in May. I’m both ecstatic and nervous at the same time to attend. I’m currently a hobbyist soap maker shifting to business soap maker. I’m definitely looking forward to meeting and learning from some of the best in the industry. I love the videos on your channel and have learned so much from you. Thanks for being transparent with your journey. If I see you at the HSCG conference, I promise to say hello. I am so happy that i came accross you and Cale, Jerika. You guys are such an inspiration to me starting my soap making very soon. In the meantime, i am just getting my stuff together as well as knowledge by watching all of your videos. Thank you so much! From Durban, South Africa lots of love xxx
Good luck on your soaping journey! Glad you are enjoying and thank you for your support!
Are you doing cold process?
Wishing you both all the best for your endeavours, good luck. Thanks for the great videos ❤
Love watching you on your journey you inspired me to make my own soap as a hobby. Everything will work out!
Wonderful! Thank you so much ❤
This is by far my favorite one of your blogs. I’m not sure why. What was different about this one. But I really liked it and I felt like we came along to the trip with you and also on this journey with you.
Omg thank you! I appreciate you watching and the feedback! ❤
There are so many things you mentioned that I want to comment on. For now, I’ll leave it at…all of this 💯.
I love seeing you have fun and learn more about the business we all love. Praying for a quick sale on your home in Canada and the perfect house in the US.
Thank you so much for watching and enjoying!!! ❤your encouragement and support mean so much to me!
I never even knew there were soap conferences.
What a great lineup of speakers and vendors to connect with! How fun 🎉 good luck on this next journey! You will thrive!
Thank you so much!! ❤
I'm so so happy for you! You deserve the best! Please if you're ever feeling lonely or overwhelmed, just pop on a live and we'll come a runnin' to give you all the support you need! xoxoxoxo
That’s sooooo comforting! Thank you ❤. Maybe someday soon!
OMG, Ariana & Marie & You! 3 of my favorite 4 Canadians!!!
Aw thank you!!! They’re wonderful ❤
You got this!!! Glad you guys enjoyed the soap conference and looking forward to the next video!!
Yes! Thank you! It was an amazing experience!❤
It makes me so happy to see all of you in one place 😭💜 Do you have to be a guild member to attend the conference? Cause I want to go so bad next year!
I believe you can attend as a guest, but the rate is lower for members :)
You do not 😊
Have a safe trip back! Be careful!
Thank you!❤
Thank you for sharing, enjoyed watching this video I have been also following a few of people and through your videos I have purchased some products from Fizz Fairy and W&W they shipped my goodies all the way to South Africa via MYUS Shipping in Sarasota.
Yes you need to come to the HCSG conference , you will have a blast. I am going to KC again this year as well.
Eeeek!!! Yay! Omg please say hi if I go! ❤😊
Praying that everything goes well and that you find a house you like & need, also sell your current house. Keep the faith and be positive, IT WILL work out. It's so awesome you got to meet Ariane, I have been following her as well. Thx for sharing your journey.
Yes! Thank you! Your kind words are so appreciated. Ariane is so wonderful - I’m glad I met her! ❤
Thank you realy for all your valible information....Love, Love your Channel and your recipes on Patreon...big hugs from Slovenia ❣️😇🙏
Thank you so much! ❤
Yes, I need to focus and cross all
My ts and dot my is in the next few months. There’s lots involved in an international move !
Also, do you know maybeeee if there’s a soap conference like this in LA? I have to travel there soon and would love to attend a conference of some sort.
Not sure of where future HSCG conferences will be in the future but they move around!
What? Really? That’s amazing! So many opportunities to meet cool people!
I watched your videos when you did your rebranding. You think about how you run your business. I am excited for you to have a boost of inspiration during this big transition. I look forward to seeing future videos.
Yes! Thank you! ❤
I've been playing with the idea of going to Kansas this year. I should decide soon. If you go, I'll go :D
Okay!!! I will announce my decision soon! ❤
Love the haircut, Cale! Sounds like you both had great time!
He looked so handsome 😊
Loved watching this. One day I hope to fan girl over you and Ariane in person. Thanks for all the education it’s so appreciated to a new soapie like me 🤍🤍🤍
Please do if you can! Loved meeting everyone here ❤
What a dream come true! So happy you were able to experience this. We will miss you. Will you still be posting updates as well as content on patreon?
Yes I will! The hiatus will be just on the soap business aspect. The RUclips and Patreon content will continue!
Thank you Jerika for sharing I loved it. I wish we had workshops like this in my country x
They’re so helpful! Thank you for watching!
I hope you reopen soon! I haven't yet found any bath bombs comparable to the ones you make, not to mention that luscious face serum of yours. Love the conference footage and am so excited for you!
That’s our hope too ❤
Thanks for sharing ,what a exciting time!
Thank you so much.
Jerika, it so good to see you and Cale in progress on your move! You have helped so man of us with tips and advice , just am happy for you! You seem so invigorated by the conference. Hope all goes well, and maybe we’ll cross paths at a conference someday.😊
I would love that!!! ❤
I use your recipe and the bath bomb press I bought after seeing you use it two years ago. I have a hard time using it as the bomb always sticks to the top portion. Would you have any suggestions? Best of luck with your move. I wish you were staying in Canada!
We won’t be strangers to Canada ! 🇨🇦
When it sticks it’s usually too wet. Dial down the oil a few grams.
Awesome video. Would have loved to see more scenery. Loved the beginning drive beautiful country
More to come! It’s so beautiful in this is of the country 😊
Sending you much love and blessings on your( both of you) journey. It will bring you more this year with personal and business life. 🙂
Thank you so much!!❤
Omg I just ordered some butter pearls bc I had a formula I wanted to try. So happy you’re excited about them too
The balms were sooooo creamy !
Love it, and I’m so excited you are moving to the states
Me too! ❤ thank you !!
I’m wishing you so
Much luck on your move!!! ❤

Why am I so emotional watching this video. May be when you were all alone. 😢. Absolutely love the conference. See Marie Rayma
I was a little too watching it back 😢.
This is totally inspiring me to want to go next year.
I will definitely attend the next HBBG conference in Halifax! So excited!!
This looked like so much fun. I bought my soap cutter from Suds and Scents great little company who i try to support. I was feeling sad for you at the end when Cale left hOpefully everything works out fast for you 2 and you can get moved to the states soon (GOOD lUCK)
Thanks for sharing!! Their products looked beautiful and well-crafted!
Hi Jerika. Great video. This conference will be a game changer for you and your business.🥰 Iris
I think so too! ❤❤❤
So the noodle place was Kokoro Tokyo Mazesoba - 6049 Silver St, Burnaby BC. Here’s their website: menyakokoro.com
Thank you for the helpful kombo butter review! I’m so excited to make stuff with it!
@@JerikaZimmerman thank you so much
Thank you so much for sharing your conference experience.
Again, thanks for such great content!
Please do so! I had so
Much fun meeting everyone. I’m excited for your first conference experience - it’s literally mind blowing and just so so fun! ❤
I have the butter pearls from Simply....haven't made anything yet
They made their balms they had on display using oil and their pearls and a microwave in their hotel rooms. It was awesome!
Nice video, I can't wait eighter what you'r going to do with the soap mold. Thx for sharing your journey!
Thanks for watching! I’m so excited to show you what I do !
Thanks for you video. I have a very little sopa buissnes is almost like hobby in transition.
Love Ariane - and you guys!
She was amazing!
I’m jealous you got a free mold. I’ve been scared of those molds as well.
It’s so intimidating! 😳
i'm interested to know how much the event cost to attend? Thank you!
