You say you live at a humid place. Which I assume it is also hot/sunny. cant you use the sun to your advantage to make a dehumidifier? one side has to be cold and the other hot to separate the humidity without or very little electricity.
Indoor air quality is one of the highest health issues in the world and many people close their windows and rely on recycling their air which no fresh oxygen is around.
    Just a suggestion. Thanks

This is not a electrostatic motion basically just crude ac motor

Interesting. I would like to make one now. " Sparked " my interest... : )

It looks more electrodynamic than electrostatic 😂

This got me thinking on how it would perform if the strips on the rotor were at an angle? Like say 60ish° pointing in the direction of rotation and vice-versa... Also if you were to increase not only the input voltage but the amperage aswell, that would be a bit harder since those HV supplies dont put out much current but i was thinking of using a voltage multiplier, the input can be one of those 15kV circuits, the amperage on those aren't very much but i guess probably higher than the one in this video, since they the arc is hot enough to light something on fire, but furthermore very nice illustration of the principle, would love to see more of these types of motors, lots of ways to play around with them...

    Hello,
Wonderful. Magic. Ingenious. Well done. Very well done. I'm nearly 70yo. Wish me well.
All the best and many thanks,

Hello Ludic Science. Will the Device also work, when i build the 2 wires (postive/negativ with a piece of copper strip?? Thanks for your answer!!!

It has to have some stiffnes, if the copper strip is very thin it will stick to the rotor

This is even more interesting in that there has to be a discharge phase for each of charged plate. In a stable state, does that phase just discharges completely (leaving the plate neutral), or will new (opposite) charge still be transferred onto the discharged plate?

honestly i am not sure about that

Not little tourqe but small torque.

Only $2 for the PCBs but how much shipping costs did you pay? If your PCB is just under 50mm x 100mm your shipping costs will be high for just 5 pcbs.

Is this safe to use in a prank? I was gonna try using it to zap a spider
If not I can probably just microwave it or something
