Dake is also incredible at sitting the corner with the crotch lift, he used it more in folkstyle. Perhaps that would have been a better option than chest wrap against Sidakov. He tried it late but was already out of position, his real commitment was to the chest wrap the entire match. Would like to see him mix it up, but it's hard to fix what isn't broken, I mean he chest wrapped everyone up until now. Looking forward to the rematch. Hope this loss makes him better and prepares him for a gold medal next year 🏅

Sidakov is so technical, it's crazy.

Sidakov is a wrestler. Dake “was” a folk style wrestler. Burroughs beat the poor guy for a full decade. Dake even tried to go up in weight in 2016 but couldn’t get past J’Den Cox. Most wrestlers have at more speed than Dake.

I hate Burroughs for standing on Dake's neck for a full decade and denying him an Olympic opportunity! I hate Kadimagomedov for easily beating Dake 11-0 (tech fall) in Tokyo. I hate Sidakov for making Dake look like a clown on the mat! Dake deserves another shot at an Olympic gold before he retires from wrestling! There are ten weight classes in the worlds and only six in the Olympics. Using his NCAA tactics Dake tried going up a weight class to avoid Burroughs and J'Den Cox beat him in 2016. There's not much room to move in the Olympics. Maybe Sidakov can leave the poor guy alone and allow him a win in Paris if he qualifies?

Thank you for an excellent, well analyzed video. (Would prefer no music, gets in way of commentary in my opinion.)

Kyle Dake seems like a pretty smart dude. I'm sure he's analyzed that over and over to develop a remedy and strategy. Go Kyle!

The head outside was really a key to beating the chestwrap. It took away any lever Dake had for control. The lower distribution of weight also meant Sidakov's weight was "much heavier". If you will notice, Dake's chestwrap is a simple application of a lever moving weight. Remove the lever, and force the weight further out from the fulcrum, and objects become unmovable. Dake should have realized this after the first attempt and changed his strategy.

LMAO. When he said, "that's how you beat Kyle Dake, I was thinking to myself, "Really? I can beat Kyle Dake now that I know his only good move, I guess. Hell, I guess this guy is telling me that everyone who watched this can now beat Kyle Dake. Okaaaaaay". Then, he basically said the exact same thing I was thinking. LMAO. If he were serious, I would never watch him again, but he is being very "tongue-in-cheek", very funny. May I just say, though, "No, I can't, and neither can you, nor anyone not named "Sidakov", for that matter".

I was really hoping Dake might win an Olympic gold before he retires. Just too much competition out there.
