Thanks for the video and Primroses inspite of the rain! Spring is on the way ...You know the old saying " If March comes in like a lion... it goes out like a lamb.
I love your videos, they just make me so happy and help me relax. ❤You're a very pleasant person and that also helps, I could listen to your voice and your jokes all the time (I really enjoy binge watching your videos ). On the plus side I get to learn about gardening and I get so many nice ideas about what to plant next. I wish I could travel to your area in the future and visit the garden myself(I'm from Romania) . Can't wait for more videos (this winter has been pretty silent, I've been missing your content). Keep up the good work! 😊
Hello John, love your daisies. I've no patience re 'lawn people' and those starry little flowers. When local vicar promised to have daisies removed before a 'big do' (years ago) I said No daisies, Not attending 'big do'. There were millions, everybody loved them!
Finally had to subscribe so I could let you know how much I like your attitude about gardening. I'm in the PNW USA and it doesn't bother me a bit to move plants around! My primroses have been blooming for a couple of weeks now. Gotta have them in my yard!
Primroses are great, I always buy them discounted from supermarkets or B&Q because i know they will jump back to life I got a ton last year at like 9p each and stupid prices and they look perfect, they are all flowering now.
Where I live in north Essex, we have the rare Bardfield Oxlip still growing wild in the fields apparently, not that I’ve seen it, but it’s definitely growing in one of the gardens I look after. Love your videos John, thank you for keeping us all entertained 🙂👍
Mr. John Lord always inspires me to get busy outside in the gardens ... it's cool here in SE Florida today (70f) (you have the most soothing voice on youtube sir - and can beautiful pack an incredible amount of info into just a few minutes - thanks for sharing!)
I do love the primrose, not only does it look pretty in the garden, it transplants easily. I have moved mine around the garden quite a bit and they still come up each year. Shame you didn't talk about the Camelia. I moved mine last year as it wasn't doing very well where it was. So far it's looking good but we'll see how it does when the flowers appear. Always good to see your videos, 👍💖
🙋hi from Scotland ,hi John nice to see you thank you for this nice wee interesting vidio hope you have been keeping well take care ,untill next time Anne Scott from Scotland
Hi John, glad you are back. What is the exact name of the tall white structural plants you were standing next to and holding at the begining of the clip? Many thanks.
John, I love the big pink Bellis perennis flowers and have bought seed packets with great photos on them. Why is it, when I grow them, are they always white, some a bit pink? Are they selling me wild daisy seeds?
Love watching 😁 Iv a very wet garden and want to put a few flowers or scrubs in that flower is there anything that likes a alot of water, living beside a alike
You could have mentioned that both primulas are far more likely to be perennial when planted in clay rather than Peat, as both primula veris and vulgaris mostly are found on clay banks and meadows which they obviously prefer
Z4b Minnesota. I grow the primroses like for the spring perennial flowers, and hate deadheading the short ones. The drumstick kinds are prettier and easier. Attract a ton of slugs.
Vulgaris means 'common' in Latin. The 'Vulgate' is the 'commoner's' form of the bible, as an example of the usage of that term. So, we're apparently dealing with 'common' primulae. :-)

Love seeing the spring flowers, brights colours so uplifting especially this year. Thanks for sharing your opening to springtime. 👍❤️😊
I've always loved daisies in the lawn. 😃
Every year I rescue a few sad reduced primroses and they put on quite a show after they recover. It’s a pleasure to see you on these videos.
Hello John, I love buying bargain basement primroses and watching them come back to life. I have very heavy wet clay soil and they thrive in it.
I missed you. So glad to see you back. Can wait for my primrose to bloom. I love them in my garden next to my hellebores.
