Tip Summary: 1. Accept the fact that you can't know everything. But work hard and make sure that what you do know, you know well. 2. Change your environment if you're having a hard time focusing. 3. Set a schedule but be realistic about your expectations. 4. Be strategic. Make sure you understand why you are getting your practice questions wrong. 5. Take mental breaks! This was so helpful and reassuring, especially the part about feeling alone. Being separated from my classmates due to the pandemic and studying at home has been hard, but failure is not an option! Thank you for posting your experience
Thank you so much for this video! I am 3weeks out from my test and far from passing, unfortunately, I really needed to see this video! I really hope I can see a 50 point increase in the next 2weeks like you were able to!
Thank you so for being so encouraging and uplifting! You made me feel a lot better and helped me normalized the fear of failure. Thank you! All the best to you!
I'm on the same boat, my exam is in 2 weeks and I'm in a plateau below my target, this is helping me look at what I did wrong during my earlier preparation. Good luck with your preparation and be assured that your efforts will pay off.
USMLE exams won't bother you or be a problem if you work with someone like Mrs Catherina... She's God sent, she saved me from taking the test for the 6th time
Mrs Catherina is obviously the best, i studied her questions and answers just in 5 days and I passed, the materials she provided was exactly the questions I saw on my test day
Wow I'm surprised to see Richard mentioned here, i worked with him few years back and i passed Naplex, I'll be going for MPJE exams and he's gonna be my back bone
What was your schedule like as in subject split wise. I’m tryna review and do my current subjects but it’s just a lot of chunk to take in. Please help regards
Had a course of Kaplan a quite long ago. N subscription for Kaplan has ended.....took a break for some reason...now I'm bck to my Kaplan lecture notes.do u prefer me to start question Bank along with building up basics as in my lecture notes or should I complete notes entirely n den go for Q bank???????
Thanks for the video. Can you by any chance tell me about Fatoma? I've used other resources not Fatoma. How about other test resources do you use? Thanks.
Yeah but here's a point. You're not doing this in 2 weeks to raise your score. You've been doing it for the entire preparation to make the test. I've been doing it already everything and my score keeps around 62%. What should I do my friend?? Congrats for the video!
@Student One I’m so sorry to hear that. Thanks for being transparent about it though. What do you plan on doing different this time to raise your score? If you don’t mind me asking I’m trying to get as much feedback as possible so I can prepare better.
@Student One so it’s the anxiety that is getting the best of you. I feel like if you manage it you’ll definitely do well. I think you used all the resources necessary to pass. I didn’t take the exam yet. I’m an IMG student so the process is even more challenging for me. I plan on taking the exam in 6 months. Now I’m currently doing UWORLD (I plan on doing all 3,200 questions) and I write down all the rationales and study them at the end of each week. I’m halfway through so hopefully I’ll be able to keep up and do all of them. I told myself that I will go over all the rationales at least 3 times. I will go through FA at least 3 times as well before taking the actual exam.
Thanks, really helpful. I have 2 months to go. Did pretty bad 172 on NBME, hope to do well. I'm working full time (an IMG ). Barely have 8hrs daily for myself. Its hard ,but I will succeed. I can't see ur email
@@shakira14710 . hi, I've been studying for about 10 months now. Buh I haven't done a lot and I've been forgetting alot. Cuz I've been working a lot as a GP. Seeing more than 40-50 patients daily. Buh I've taken out 8 weeks as a dedicated period. So I'm currently off work for now.
