Love yourself, forgive yourself, give yourself a chance to be happy and make mistakes.

Nowadays we talk a lot about affirmations, this songs is one of the most beautiful, hopeful, true affirmations, everything will be ok, we will be ok and valid even if we crumble or not meet expectations.
Alanis always wrote things that as i learned english (i listened since 7 but im a spanish speaking girly) i started to understand slowly and they all made me cry and feel with her, such a magical woman.

I think the screams she delivers at the end are the most sincere I've heard in my life, its pure emotion, it comes from the soul, it pierces through those who have a sensitive heart, its magic in the shape of beautiful screams, a beautiful melody.

It's hiding tears and put these little glittering sparkling drobs into a voice instead of accepting anger or tears. It's perfectly. Listen to yourself, accept the emotion and form both into spelling.

People don't say "one of the greatest male artists" when talking about a man.
I'm not a hippy-dippy triggered (aka experiencing an emotion, as we used to call it) lib, either, that wants to be the thought police.
It's just something to think about.

    Lyrics:
That I would be good, even if I did nothing
That I would be good, even if I got the thumbs down
That I would be good if I got and stayed sick
That I would be good even if I gained ten pounds
That I would be fine even if I went bankrupt
That I would be good if I lost my hair and my youth
That I would be great if I was no longer queen
That I would be grand if I was not all knowing
That I would be loved even when I numb myself
That I would be good even when I am overwhelmed
That I would be loved even when I was fuming
That I would be good even if I was clingy
That I would be good even if I lost sanity
    That I would be good

@@ZorbaTheDutch , yeah. Sigh. ,I was kinda upset there. She could have made some babies and then resumed her career, seeing as it's persisted into her 70s, long, long, long after she's able to give birth.
The lowest birthrate on the planet is among intelligent white women.
Meanwhile, many brash and less capable people in the developed World shower children into the World, and although most of the 3rd World has stopped exploding (see e.g. Hans Rosling's presentations, essential viewing really), Africa population 1950: 227 million; 2014: 1200 millon; projected 2100: 4100-4400 million (UN numbers I got from their website, and Hans explains the increase is almost all sub-saharan), and commensurately, that many more there will be starving and waging tribal territorial wars.
Maybe China's huge investments there can make some developmental difference.
Won't bring back Debbie Harry's potential dynasty though.
And what a terrible role model: sacrifice making a family for your career. No wonder the number of white people is generally dwindling all over the planet.

Deus salve a Alanis e Deus salve esses músicos incríveis.

Great vocal talent, great music quality !
This song is purely confessional, symbolize the soul's weakness, the soul's nakedness
With this song Alanis she exposes the subjecvity

I have always resonated with this song it was like listening to the words of someone finally understanding and connecting with me...then I realised that this person has the same special quality that I have in having the power to connect to others through their own sensitivities... wow what a gift to give humanity.!!!

My oldest paid for us to see Alanis and Garbage last year for either mother's day or my birthday. It was canceled because of covid. Well it's rescheduled to August 17 2021. I can't wait!!! I live in Florida, but it's a 4 hr drove. Lol
