Ya ear dat? Dat rough sound? Dats bad!
Lol
Listen to this
xD
Love it 😂😂😂
No woman no cry
Rasta making every problem sound cool af
If I lived in Jamaica I would gladly let this man work on my ride just to hear how he talks 😂
lol nice
How does it sound with the engine running cause I think mine could be bad as well
you might not be able to hear with all the other engine noise, best thing to do is take the belt off if you can and spin all the pulleys
Point your ear towards it and get as close to it as you can. Usually, a bad bearing will exhibit many sounds but most people describe it as marbles in a bag. Squeaking, squealing, and grinding are also key indicators that your tensioners bearing is starting to die.
I drive a 2017 Audi Q7
I had my check engine light come on and off within like 2 hours time. This happened 2-3 weeks ago.. I scanned it right when it happened and it came up with a code for “super charger sensor” then disappeared… Nothing noticeably different while driving what’s so ever.. but a day after the code popped up and went away I start hearing a weird clanking/grinding like noise only when idling, As if one of my pulley went bad. I tell this mechanic that looked at it yesterday exactly what I just explained right..
So he looks at it and tells me that my supercharger was the cause of the noise, as well as the supercharger pulley tensioner..
Last night I have another guy look at it and without even taking it apart he looks, listens and tells me within 10 mins that it’s my water pump pulley that is bad. He’s 1000% sure not my supercharger. He said I would’ve had black smoke coming from my exhaust , loss of power along with some type excessive whining; in which none of this I experienced.. In your experiences and from the sound of this situation ;
what are your opinion’s on this?
Every answer and/opinion is greatly appreciated and will save me a few strands of hair that I have left on my head
Sounds beautiful to me
😂You are a mechanic then
Tick, tick, ticky means bad, folks
😅Mine needs replaced. Thanks for the vid. Helped me diagnose quick.
It adds character
Yep, that’s bearing
"Oh wait I 4got to punch out!"(Joker voice) 🃏
That's what mine is doing right now gotta replace it!
What's even worse is clicking on a video, thinking you'll learn what a tensioner pulley sounds like when it's actually connected to a car, but instead, it's just some guy using it as a Fidget Spinner. 😅
Now show us the good one. 😅
Just changed two on my 07 lexus es350 but struggling to put the belt back😅
Howd it go lol
@@huracanzavala7825 I did it eventually, the key was to put a pin to hold the tension on the tentioner.

Just replaced mine it was 500 for the part and 300 to install that’s what Mercedes loves to do 😂
how long can u drive with it making that sqeueeky noise think mines belt not actually pully ,only makes noise under load
@@user-mc2kk8yf5z i drove 20 minutes home without my belt😂 it snapped when I started the car after party and it drove like shit but my tensioner was bad so it could happen to yours too. Replacement belt was cheaper than the pulley depending how bad the belt is it’s worth having done mine drives like it’s brand new
@@davidaslan8935 yeah i just ordered both pully and belt, its been 2 weeks and stil going strong hasnt snapped yet lmao the part should arrive in another week .
@@user-mc2kk8yf5z nice man you should tell a difference when you start up and power should increase. Is yours a e320 model?
@@davidaslan8935 ohh na its going on a infiniti q50s redsport lol
Sounds like a bell
A bell full of grit.
What will it sound like when the engine is running? Or it won't make any noise?
Tell me you’re from Louisiana without telling me 😂
You could use it as a bell.
You have a point. lol
Blood clot sound is that
Bumbaclot
🤣
If i have a whining kind of squeel in my belt area but only on idle and low speed & acceleration, under 10 mph. Would that be because of a bad pully? As soon as i go over 10 mph the noise goes away.
If you steadily raise the RPM sitting still not driving does the noise go away. Its best to email me at rastamanbuilds gmail
Hmmm….”No good day my people”
Might have to unsubscribe me thinks🤔
dats money sound ma man
Sound o get at very low rpm when taking off. Sometimes it doesn’t when it does it stays for while long as I’m driving. I thought it was a engine knock but it sometimes doesn’t happen
That looks way more like an idler than a tensioner.
I think its one of those goofy looking dayco ones, not 100% sure but they do make tensioners that are offset like that
Edit: can see a litens brand part directly behind they also make those kind of tensioner
I think you should stick to your bike
Yeah but it's minor, it's not critical, you can still drive with it with no problems except an annoying noise, but even the noise is not that bad, you just need to get used to it
understood
We say NG as in no good
Respect Roots
respect due
Praise i Jah, ja mon dis ya bearing sound tuff an ruff.. it became babylonian
Can it make a heavy vibration on the engine ?
That’s most likely motor mounts
Not too heavy
Did it only make noise when AC on?
That is what I'm dealing with. 2 garages said it was the Compressor. 3rd said maybe the Belt Tensioner. BIG difference in cost to fix.
same bro it does tha noise when i turn the ac on in my camry 2011
@@adanrodriguez7804 Getting mine worked on tomorrow. Hope it is the Tensioner and not the Compressor
@@waynelynch3862 i have same issue , how long can we drive with it making that noise, its been 1 week now, not getting worse or less, same noise..
@@user-mc2kk8yf5z Answer varies from each garage. Some will scare you into getting it done asap. I'm on 2nd week. Most of them say that if (this or that) goes bad, breaks, explodes, it will send debris into the system, costing much more. Had mine looked at today in detail. The 'It might just be my Tensioner' turns out that I need a Compressor and Condenser. $2,100.00!
I'm still in shock. THAT was the cheapest quote for both parts.
Dont delay.Drop by a few shops and get quotes. I got free quotes until today. $70.00 for the diagnosis, which they will subtract if I used them for repair. That was also the cheapest price for diagnosis.
I'm getting mine fixed next week. Would do it sooner, but got medical appts this week.
If it oscillates with a/c then it's very likely to be compressor
Mine makes this sound while light accelerating on my lancer
Hey I’m having a problem with my truck the pulley is vibrating and hitting a screw under it and cause a loud noise when driving , it mostly is loud when you rev the engine , it only makes it when the AC is on
That sounds like it needs replacing before it throws the belt
@@RastamanBuilds it already ripped the belt and I put a new one on and changed the pulley to a new one too and it was still making noise so I returned it idk if it could be the screws or what I don’t know what to try next
Where do you locate RAS
VA
Isn't that an idler pulley?
Armor all works best for belt squeek.
I have this sound only if I have not used my car for a few hours and comes back but when I drive I do not hear the sound again
I have a Honda civic 2013 ex 98k miles
You would have to send me a video so I can hear it
They thought mine was the alternator and it still had voltage said it was a diode going bad but still had voltage so noise continued for a year until pulley tensioner came off and destroyed belt I figured it was the alternator and would eventually go out stupid mechanic couldn't diagnose a bad tensioner ill fix it myself. They probably would have sold me a new alternator for 1200 then said it was a bad tensioner to fing mechanics are criminal.
How do you take off a tensioner pulley to replace it
Bolt in the center
Fi true , it sound unsual
