I have been thoroughly enjoying DMZ. There's so much to do, and the AI can actually pose quite a challenge at times.

I wish DMZ was solo friendly, maybe solo lobbies? Very, very, rarely do I want to squad up.
There's an option for that when you're at the menu, switch off the auto fill party tab. Then you can play solo. That's how I play 🙂

Same, however the most fun I’ve had was going in solo with a javelin and wiping an entire squad at exfil from a cell tower and leaving with all of their gear

You would probably need to get access to nods, thermals or some other ways to ha e better visibility in the dark, but it could be fun...

Probably the best bit of MW2 /WZ2 content so far. Lots more DMZ with Tomo and Wickes please 🙏
That weapon case match (from 2:31:57 until end) is very intense, so many near death moments. DMZ actually more interesting to watch than battle royale.

What’s hilarious is how disastrous their missions go then somehow surviving then repeating because they can’t resist the loot lol. Makes for good content

I was not a huge BR fan so used to play warzone plunder. I liked you could respawn. But DMZ is absolutely my favorite. Maybe because i dont *have* to engage enemy players or i can. I love that option. I love the missions and the extraction with lurking enemy players because it’s is so adrenaline-pumping. Also a great way to extract is by completing a hostage rescue mission and leaving with that helo. Safer if you need to get out with solid gear and missions accomplished.
This is pretty much my thought on it. I missed Plunder until I first stepped into a DMZ and had a blast.

DMZ is not what we asked for, but its everything we wanted. COD nailed it, I will be playing this more than the regular BR modes.

It's definitely a good start. It's a blast as is but I hope the keep adding content. It is way more fun tlfor me than BR.

I am in love with DMZ. The change of pace after 3 years of nonstop battle royale have turned this game mode into a must play for traditional COD players.
You guys are so fun to watch. I wish my crew could chill out playing DMZ and roll with the punches as well as you 3 do 😮💨
It's weird because DMZ is more continuously hectic than BR but it is so much more chill qnd enjoyable. As far as I am concerned I feel no need to go back to normal BR mode. Having a blast with DMZ.
Really hope they update dmz often. Would love to be able to take other players backpacks we can take their vest why not backpack. Giving us a way to craft guns by extracting with parts found around the map would be amazing. Being able to store armor vests backpacks and cash in your stash would also be a dream

You can stow armor vests. But yeah, still needs some work! Surely they have a lot of plans for it I’d hope.

@@bigboy9994 just in your general stash? I’ve literally taken level 3 vests to my teammates when I’ve had one on already by stashing it. I’m not sure why you’re not able to, sounds like it’s messing up.
@@bigboy9994 it takes a medium backpack or bigger to stow extra weapons and gear
I just hope we save our tactical/lethal if its already unlocked when we failed to exfill. It's too damn tedious to equip it everytime
26:01 I wish there was a Day/Night cycle and NVG's and Flashlights would need to be found and had actual uses. Also weather and storms and such

Feels like it could be a GTA like mode, with the city fully inhabited with civilians, police, army, etc
My friends and I love this game mode. The most fun we have had in years. Sometimes we mission hunt, sometimes we get sweaty and player hunt.
10pm: playing DMZ....die...reload
2.45am: still playing DMZ...die.... reload
DMZ is waaaay more entertaining to watch than standard BR. Waiting to see if it stays that way once people have done all the missions. Nice one guys.

Played 20 hours solo so far, and while it's definitely unforgiving I'm still itching to play more
As mentioned in the video I try to avoid other players as much as possible, although with the TTK as it is if you can get the drop on an enemy squad (especially at close range with the mag-fed shotgun) you stand a decent chance.
Anything that puts you on the map is pretty high risk, mainly Strongholds and UAV towers.
Hostage Rescue contracts are your friend, as while it can be hard to get through the armored guards in time you get a free exfil that isn't in one of the 3 mains to avoid campers. I haven't seen any campers yet though.
The map's big enough that as long as you pay attention to gunfire and if your surroundings are looted you can avoid most contact, barring bounty contracts or people driving straight up to you by chance.
DMZ is so much fun. I didn't think I was gonna like it, but it's a blast with duo or trios
It also needs solos and quads
You can do some sneaky solos but once you need to go full Rambo it gets quite difficult
Stealth solo sniper is fun, but 30min is far too short for this sneaky style.
My buddies and I can't stop playing it either. The contracts keep us busy and we get side tracked chasing weapon briefcases. We roll up to exfil sites in a armoured jeep now from drop off contracts cuz teams camp them now. We are truly having a great time!
I really love DMZ, and I know it's in beta but I really hope they change the A.I. bots from literally spawning out of thin air in front/behind you and shooting you from angles that don't exist🤞.
agree, this afternoon i got killed by a bot shoooting from underground, he was literally fused with the floor, i couldnt shoot him, but he certainly could shoot me, not to mention the floating bots shooting from 20 feet above
No, your gunshots draw enemy from that area, enemy only spawn from helicopter/truck reinforcements which can be easily spotted.

@@elanlynn5973 that isn't true. Near strongholds they randomly spawn with out being brought in with a vehicle or transportation.

DMZ is awesome! I hope that the Warzone folks don't mess it up and treat it as unimportant like they did with Plunder.

Maybe if they can inject a bit of plunder and allow you to bank cash and other items looted during the game before you exfil? Either deposit it on an exfil chopper or have the same methods as Plunder with the choppers lowering cases or finding a balloon.

Play this mode almost exclusively solo. There is definitely fun to be had, you know the odds are stacked from the start and have to play accordingly, but undoubtedly there is frustration when you bump into a squad and it's almost guaranteed death.
Vehicle cargo missions are also very challenging.
I wish they could do zombies on DMZ. It would be like a mini DayZ.
I like Dayz I mean the player interaction is unlike anything and I love just exploring. Hate those big ass empty apartment buildings though.
hey bud, I also love it, met some good people, I also didnt expect to like it. best bit, 9 players converging and me yelling 'oi oi oi chill chill chill!!! ' then my team saying, dont go they will shoot you and me saying, im gonna be a hero... watch this... and run in yelling half boozed up begging players not to shoot. then having an intense stand off while we all wait for an exfil. Most times, it works. Love the vibes of this.
If you here 'OI CHILL CHILL' in a real Aussie accent, dont shoot, and chill out. Im bringing Chill back to COD.

i’ve learned to completely avoid certain areas, its insane.
Mainly areas with players, bots are dangerous but players will kill you in the worst cenario

Man i was trying to get a quest done for 2 days it’s literally the simplest quest
The quest is find white luts or whatever it’s called and extract with it
Every time i get it i get killed by a squad of players they really need to put solo in DMZ but it’s cool mode after all
Got a cousin w/ most or all but the DMZ weapons camo'd out, best friend just picked it up. I'm much better KDA in BLOPs but doing better than expected. I'm mid 30s, bunch of xp tokens so if you want a squad of people that know one another & can fit into a niche (likely know more than me & def my bud, doesn't meta dive but brilliant tactician, good Royale player.) Cousin plays WZ, I'm not there yet but definitely need a DMZ guide, if you'd like a couple dudes that enjoy MP & dmz for now. Hmu if so, I'm at scratch, willing to suicide mission it lol, cheers.

Think you need to bring back the Hive bandits for DMZ. We need an Al Mazrah Bus tour! Don't forget your special grenade backpack and all the actors at the strongholds!
Loving this mode. I play solo mostly. You have to be on your guard from the word go so much fun.

Anyone noticed many maps/assests from older CoD games? Like the buildings & heli pad from Highrise i think from MW 2 2009, the Terminal from MW2 2009 and few others :) Nostalgic best maps

With regards to solo play, it's definitely possible. I'm a terrible player and have worked through around 14 missions, a few squad wipes solo. It's just a matter of positioning and patience.
Hope they do more stuff with dmz, rn I don't find it fun but it has potential
Not only solo is impossible, random fill is also so difficult if they don't speak.

Had a squad of 3 today. We invited another squad of 3. Had a total party of 6. Went and killed the Chemist in the Radiation Zone and exfilled. Was the most fun I've had on a video game in a long time.

Playing solo is possible and really fun, just have to think what you are doing. I not even once get in with team, always solo and I have M13B and RPK blueprint unlocked.
For anyone wondering, pick your fights smartly, a lot of players go solo/duo and not trio so it is manageable, bring spotter scope and use it in thermo mode. You can spot any danger from quite the distance. The bigger problem are AI in solo not other players. If you underestimate NPCs, you will be anihilated instantly.
I prefer to call the AI pissed off locals
This is only DMZ Beta too so it can only get better with later patches and updates, so hopefully they listen to player feedback and make the necessary changes. I really hope this becomes a staple game mode. One big thing I hope they change is make the proximity voice chat better. Almost like Escape from Tarkov where it's omnidirectional and accounts for distance so that you can pinpoint the direction and distance a player might be from you from their voice.

I noticed it was always spawning me on the southwest side of the map. But, when I took the Basilisk mission, it did spawn me by the police station where you guys were spawning. I wonder if it makes an effort to spawn you closer to mission objectives in some way. It could have just been a total coincidence, however.

I know I'm late to the game but that was the most fun I've never had! And Jack getting bent out of shape over a sound bite was priceless. I thought the band was going to break up.

Tarkov doesnt have endlessly running matches. When loading in as PMC you will be matched with other pmc’s. Once there is enough PMC’s to fill the player count of the map it loads then all into the same raid at the same time. PMC’s spawn based on spawn clusters. When loading as scav you join in the middle of an active game

I stayed up for like 7 hours playing solo. Superrrr fun! And i got to(after much frustration)take down the chemist. Time to go for the weapons cache.
5:20 You can keep items in the menu you hit R To remove them and stash them in the menu you also keep set player items like gas mask streaks armour pouch and self res if you successfully exfil
You cannot store additional vests, masks, etc. And you have to take them with you on the next mission. We want to be able to store more item types than keys in the stash
@@NiclasGleesborg Yes but you can still exfil and bring items with you is what i meant and what i said. I don't believe a full inv for stacking gas masks etc would be good for the game imo
I exfiled with 3 selfres once, and on my next game only had one. Which sucked

They need to make s solo version of this. And make the AI a little less accurate.
Way less accurate. They also need to make it so the AI don't have wallhack ability or bullet penetration through any surface..or shot guns that 2 shot from rifle ranges...
I agree with both of you there vision through walls damage output and accuracy are abit too much but there awareness at long distance Is none existent even with an unsurpressed weapon there literally deaf and unaware if there mates are dead and they should see they are lol if stealthy and they don't see and suppressed weapon fine obvs but they don't act like that ha
The AI is fine as is. Don't play like little boys and you will win.
@@sS0ulSs There is a few issues like AI can actually headglitch on some rooftops and the bullets just appear from nowhere. and a few times you can be shot through certain materials that you as a player cannot shoot back through. (IE. the walls on the moving train, AI you drive past will melt you through the walls sometimes randomly)

I want to be able to stock up on armor carriers and backpacks. If I extract with a backpack and armor carrier it should multiply for future drops.
They need to have weapon attachments like in blackout so you can build your gun on the go.

I would love it if people could just call the exfil areas, truce zones, and everyone can just extract in peace.
To succeed as a solo, avoid engagement. if unavoidable…. play with the quiet toys.

Ngl I play it solo 30 % of the time but it is a huge challenge tbh I enjoy it u feel like u have to thunk before every interaction with he ai and really have to play different I love solo ATM makes u feel like a god when u extract lol

Dmz is really good fun, especially once the pretty average M13B has been secured
The gun melts in MP better than any other gun
I think it's pretty good and if it does get a buff in the future it will be brilliant
@@mrrooster4876 it's objectively worse than a bunch of other guns. But the low recoil is nice for long range full auto
Late to the content but really enjoying the watch. Commenting to say that you can play this solo fairly effectively, you just need to try and play it like a game of Metal Gear. There's a bit of luck involved, but I have leveled up through all of tier 2 on legion solo. It's a ton of fun if you just adjust your perspective and patience levels.
Dmz is wild and tough at times but exfill or not I’m always having fun
I actually found that golden deagle on warzone, Don’t know how but i found it haha
I solo DMZ all the time, I don’t have too much trouble for most of the missions. Easy to get in go straight to a good loot location and exfil right away, then the next session is “easy” to do a mission.
