I stopped your podcast to go watch the documentary so I can follow your thoughts. I grew up in the church and Hillsong music was a large party of the church I attended as a youth and young adult.
Absolutely!!!! It was so hard to not deep dive into all of these topics b/c it’s so much there! But yeah, most ppl don’t know what the experience of a talented person is in the Church. It’s a constant struggle of giving what you have and feeling “am I being taken advantage of.” There’s part of me that wants to dig a little deeper in this, but then there’s that part that just wants to move on and talk about Disney songs!
