As long as you have the herblore level, zulrah drops both antidote++ and scales to make antivenom and you're left with a surplus to kill vorkath with. Would need to spam a lot of cure me or take extra damage otherwise so I think using them here is great. Antiv+ is so good, uses less scales than serp and you get a decent damage buff with a crystal helm. Venge/thralls is extra damage for a very low cost, I definitely recommend using. Kills take less time and banking is quick so inv space isn't too stressed either even if needing cure me runes. Some even take spellbook swap for thralls + venge which is even more kills/h. Good mage swaps are even better but I enjoy range only and have done a couple hundred early kills before getting occult on my current acc. Been learning pillar stalling and fitting in extra blowpipe hits, that can be fun and improve kills/h once otherwise comfy at the snake.
great guide. Getting close to start the zulrah grind on my iron. Curious about the dps though when comparing to bowfa for range and a full mage switch with warped sceptre/fire wave around 85-95 mage? What's the dps diff between mage switch with those stats/spells and full on bowfa? Thanks for posting!
@@michaelgavin1909 full bowfa is much better than warped scepter and a good bit better than fire wave. I could only see fire wave being viable with a tome of fire and near max mage gear with augury. For reference my pb at zulrah is 1 minute and 8 seconds with bowfa only on a slayer task. I was 97 range and using eagle eye at the time! It also clears up space in your inventory for more food instead of your gear switches, making multiple kill trips much easier to do! I’ve so far only been doing bowfa kills on my iron and it’s been a great time, once I got my serpentine helmet I’ve opted to use that with my crystal body and legs and it’s been the most chill bossing ever. Good luck on your grind and hopefully this answers your question 😎
Bowfa is most likely better because getting mage gear good enough to make fire wave or warped sceptre setup get close to bowfa setup isn't going to be easy. I think you should use the wiki's dps calculator to get a precise answer that takes into account your exact gear, levels, potions and prayers. Or moving forward, if you actually want people to be able to dps calc things for you, then you need to tell us every item that's going to be equipped, whether you have augury and rigour unlocked and whether or not you have boosts like saturated heart or ancient/forgotten brews available. Without all that necessary information the dps calculator cannot be filled out to match your setup precisely because you didn't tell us what you have past your weapons and a vague range for mage lvl, so the best people will be able to do is assume bowfa setup is better even without knowing your ranged level because its easier to get than a proper mage kit that would prop up fire wave/sceptre.
