I remember before he died. He talked about his life, traveling and while live played a couple of songs on the radio interview and they all sound like this except better.
After playing Death Stranding, I can’t seem to like any other game. It’s not about how good Death Stranding is, it’s that stoic feeling that i miss in all other games. Death Stranding will remain a huge part of my life forever. Thanks Kojima and his team.
Same thing happened with me after playing red dead 2 ,i tried many games but not even one of them gave me the satisfaction than death stranding game and yes it made me happy thank you kojima
This game is truly a masterpiece. I do feel bad for the ones who decided not to give it a try, because some of the negative reviews. idk man this game just hits different. Edit: dude thanks for making this video its awesome, i really whish i could play it for the first time again. (btw bad english)
I think the reviews were justified, because the gameplay is subpar - it’s a walking simulator. However, this one does hit different, the storyline, the soundtrack, the graphics/immersion, the poignancy - all something that is hard to explain in words. For these reasons, this is a very hard game to rate on your standard basis; nonetheless, the ratings were fair, maybe even slightly too generous on some outlets.... this is a game for the peculiar individual - nothing wrong with that at all.
I bought the game carelessly because it was cheap, and wasn't expecting anything out of it because of negative reviews. Started it and wasn't paying attention, but when the first song popped up I felt chills everywhere, and a truly special sensation that I don't think I'll ever experience wholly again. I'm here after finishing the game yesterday, and now I've got tears in my eyes. This game helped me out with depression, and I won't go before saying this is the most beautiful game I've ever played, even with the sometimes clunky gameplay. Sorry for the bad English, and thanks so much for putting up all these special moments :)
Being playing the Directors Cut for PC. And Im in love with this game and the music!! Am just riding around. I wish there was a radio on the bike. So instead I just play the sound tracks as I rife around now.

Which moment is your favorite? For me, it has to be "The Machine." Carrying Mama through those gruelling mountains while this played just hit different. The song just fit the scenery really well and ironically gave me the drive to push further on despite the lyrics being pretty depressing and discouraging. "We don't stand a chance" could be used to sum up everything about Death Stranding, the world is full of dread but it's the actions of the micro, of people like Sam that go against the odds giving others a reason to keep moving on despite the circumstances. That really touched me.
Mines gotta be St. Eriksplan. Such a sad song that plays in such a sad part of the game where you don’t have BB, or a clue of what is going to or what is happening to him. That walk hit me very hard
Mine was "Please Don't Stop (Chapter 1)" because I picked up the motorcycle from a shelter near the Timefall Farm and then charged full speed to Lake Knot, crossing MULE territory and using the built roads... full speed towards the chiral storm. EPIC.
Mine was Without You after you dispose of the bomb. It was just such a touching moment. But, honestly, almost every Low Roar moment in the game was touching...

Long time admirer of Kojima. I grew up immersed in MGS and the lore. Kojima’s penchant for story telling. Was always moved emotionally by his stories. I didn’t play Death Stranding up until now because I didn’t really care to buy a PS4. Recently came into one and first thing that came to mind was “I have to play DS”. I heard mixed reviews. I’m about half way into it and I don’t think I’ve ever played such an emotionally evoking game. Low Roar’s soundtrack elevates this experience to something beyond a game. It is an experience. And it might just be my favorite game ever now. Bravo Hideo!
I've never played anything like this game, and I think i'll never will. It was really something so special and it came to me just at a point in my life that I needed it the most. Keep on keeping on.
Personally, I play this game with a podcast or video series on in the background when I'm delivering or exploring but the moment any Low Roar comes on, all of that is muted and I just sit and listen to it as I trek to my delivery.
You did an outstanding work. To be honest.. i played this game 2 hours and it first didnt catch me. 3 weeks ago i gave it a new try after more then 9 months. The very moment this game mesmerized me was the struggle to Port Knot. Yesterday i finished the game and i am very thankful for such an amazing experience... honestly the ending made me cry
I love that when "St. Eriksplan" starts playing, Sam says "It ain't the same without you, kid" perfectly illustrating what's going on inside his mind, such a sad song that gets Even sadder knowing You Don't have BB :c
Oooh, takes me back The delivery to the port knot city, took Trike with me unknowingly the road to be very rocky and full of BTs, Caught a lot by BTs, wrecked the Trike and out of battery. It makes me cry only thinking about how beautiful that journey was, i didn't expect nothing like that, i'm just glad i live in the same timeline of kojima i don't know what to say
I've played this game all the way through 3 times, once on normal difficulty on PS4, and once on the hardest difficulty on PS4, I've already finished the normal difficulty once on PC, and I'm about to finish my second playthrough on the hardest difficulty on PC. I always discover something new every, and I do mean, EVERY time. Can't wait for the DC on steam!!! You know I'm fucking buying it in a goddamn heartbeat.
You forgot one theme: Waiting 10 years, from Low Roar. Btw, this video it's really gorgeous! The moment when I almost reached Port Knot City and 'Asylums for the feeling' began, made me chill and relax. There's when I fell in love with Death Stranding. 💜
I’ll be honest, when Give up and Without you played the first time I set down my controller and just listened and was moved by the settings and the words. Rare moment in gaming.
thx for that not only showing us the music but also remain some dialogue which makes this video a little bit more unforgettable...Hideo you are my hero
Just started playing this game maxed out in 4k on my 65in 4k hdr TV (hooked up to my pc w/ a 2080 super) and last night I did the part with the asylum for the feeling and after running back and forth thru rocky terrain and dodging mules / BTs, running down that grassy mountain with the port in the distance and the wind as my back straight up felt euphoric. This pandemic has been so miserable, and to make things worse I've been recovering from covid for the past month. Two moderna shots but tested positive four weeks ago, was sortve sick for the first three days with chills and a fever but I've been left with really bad muscle pain and asthma, and playing that sequence I straight up totally forgot covid even existed. This game is truly magical and I'm glad and I'm still only getting to chapter 3.
This game will forever have a foothold in my memory, I'm almost done and I have no idea what I'm going to play after this but for sure I'll have to keep listening to the soundtrack. Also remember to keep on keeping on :D
God, I miss this game. It had such an impact on me. Definitely one of my favorite games of all times. I downloaded it on a borrowed PS4 of a friend, now he's got it back and I can't play it anymore. I miss it. Thank you for this, you're a savior!
I think about this game now and again. Having a task to do (make it from point A to point B), just like in life gave satisfaction. Nothing overly complicated but simply doing your job.
Was searching for precisely this. Going throw rough patch in my life, I really needed this. played this game in quarantine. just wanted to come back and experience it again. this game and the low roar music just gives warm and fuzzy feeling inside.
Death stranding is truly a magic experience. I'm super glad for this video and I'm also glad that I am not the only one who sees the magic in this game. Keep going porters.
Not fair man. When I was delivering BB to the incinerator, BB's theme did not play. The title showed up but no sound!!!! 😭 I'll play this again for sure.
Great video! There's honestly no other game able to make me feel this emotional. I absolutely adore both the gameplay and design choices taken. What a unique and beautiful experience death stranding was!
18:47 and 01:52:21 are my favorite. But recently, I started to get addicted to 01:43:35. And a honorable mention to 01:58:08, I loved that song at first listening!
What a beautifully-captured archive of these moments - not just recording where the music typically starts playing, but providing an experience close to what - I believe - Kojima intended for us to see/feel. In particular, this moment at 45:05 - just as Sam is about to crest the hill and see the mist of the valley on the other side, the thunder gently joins in with the music. When I first encountered this, I was compelled to pause there on the edge and just - breathe in, with the chorus of the song. This video did the same thing. I don't know if the thunder in the game's code is scripted or not, but, wow, just a wonderful choice from Kojima for a place to hear that song. It brought me back to that moment from MGS4 when Snake returns to Shadow Moses, and just as the rusting corpse of the compound emerges from the blizzard - "The Best Is Yet To Come" begins to play. The end credits music from MGS1. That song now gives me shivers that "In Zanarkand" could only *dream* of at this point.
Don't want to be a hipster a-hole but I've been listening to Low Roar since their Low Roar album. I couldn't believe seeing the music selection of Death Stranding. I had no interest in the game, but once I saw the music selection, I knew the production wasn't messing around. They made a perfectionist's choice in music. My love of Low Roar got me to enjoy a game I never would have enjoyed otherwise, which turned out to be a fantastic piece of work.
i've been listening to low roar ever since their debut album in 2011, and then years later i found out that in Kojima's new IP it has Low Roar all over it... as if i wasn't interested enough haha. Finished this game a couple of times, the gameplay, world, story is all amazing, but the best parts are these moments Low Roar kicks in.... love it
I come back regularly to this video. First of all the quality is great unlike many other uploads of these moments. More importantly I just love the game and these moments so damn much. It feels like the game was made just for me.
Thanks for making this video that´s exactly what I´ve been looking for! My favourite moments are probably "I´m leaving" when you are going down from the weather station and "Patience" when you are making your way through masses of snow, but honestly all of them were pretty amazing. Thinking about it I guess it´s time for a second playthrough :)
Now i'm here in 2024 , i can't waiting for the second part . Kojima you changed my life forever thank you so much . Not a game , not a movie , its a truly experience for life . Sorry for the bad english
Thanks for this video. Death stranding is such a great and deep experience. When a song started I felt always fully emotional. After 6 month here I am still feeling the same...nothing changed. I can imagine myself very old and still please someone to play this video for me, felling exactly like a feel now. Glad to have been gone through such a beauty.
Thank you so much for the amazing work on this mate. This game is truly like no other. A therapeutic masterpiece that touches the soul. The online aspect was topnotch 👌. Btw, this video it's really gorgeous! The moment when I almost reached Port Knot City and 'Asylums for the feeling' began, made me chill and relax. There's when I fell in love with Death Stranding. 💜
I've been hearing Low Roar before Death Stranding and Im so, so happy to see it here. The promotion of their music has been enormous thanks to Kojima.
I got to know them first time one year befor game release from kojima Instagram post.
Keep on keeping on...
Great work. I also recently discovered that Asylums for the feelings plays again when you climb a cliff near the Timefall Farm
Rest in peace Ryan 😔
Play the Metal Gear games
This game... When it shuts up and puts some music it is seriously one of the best games ever made.
Keep on keeping on.
One of the best game I ever played.
Thank you for this.... Else i would have played the whole game just to hear this music moments Lol...
Great video!
There's honestly no other game able to make me feel this emotional. I absolutely adore both the gameplay and design choices taken. What a unique and beautiful experience death stranding was!
R.I.P Ryan
One of the best game I've ever played after Witcher 3 and Rdr2 this game is on top 3 for me
18:47 and 01:52:21 are my favorite. But recently, I started to get addicted to 01:43:35. And a honorable mention to 01:58:08, I loved that song at first listening!
1:39:19 is the encapsulation of this game for me in music form
I haven't played Sekiro yet, but I don't know why Death Stranding is not the 2019 game of the year!!!
i've been listening to low roar ever since their debut album in 2011, and then years later i found out that in Kojima's new IP it has Low Roar all over it... as if i wasn't interested enough haha.
Finished this game a couple of times, the gameplay, world, story is all amazing, but the best parts are these moments Low Roar kicks in.... love it
never have i ever teared up from a certain band's musics... every. single. time...
I come back regularly to this video. First of all the quality is great unlike many other uploads of these moments. More importantly I just love the game and these moments so damn much. It feels like the game was made just for me.
Many thanks for the excellent selection of melodies! :**
Прекрасная подборка, отличное сопровождение.
This is truly a unique and original masterpiece. Thanks for the video as well man.
Now i'm here in 2024 , i can't waiting for the second part . Kojima you changed my life forever thank you so much . Not a game , not a movie , its a truly experience for life .
Sorry for the bad english
1:39:19 The best one. RIP
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😭😇
God the BB's theme sequence is perfect. They way they timed everything so the song hits its peak just as you are leaving Capital Knot is amazing
Keep on keeping on!
thank you so much for this video
Somebody has to do this. Thank you!
Some of the best parts of the game
Amazing work! I pretty much missed half of these moments, I can't believe there are so many!
My only complaint with the game is the music system, I'll have to play it again to catch these moments
I play this video everyday on TV before going to sleep. Thanks 👍🏻
Thank you so much for the amazing work on this mate. This game is truly like no other. A therapeutic masterpiece that touches the soul. The online aspect was topnotch 👌. I remember I was trekking through snowy mountains in desperate need of power when I found a generator built by another player and "Asylums for the feeling" was playing. The moment was indescribable!
Cheers fellow porters!
You just feel every emotion in the game amazing
Keep on keeping on love it
RIP Ryan

Thank you so much! I also love that you didn't go the usual routes, so I got to see even more of the beauty of this game
Have I just found one of the best compilations in RUclips? 💓

Absolutely beautiful. Thank you
