It’s a great movie but it’s got a lot of flaws and I disagree that it changed the genre. Batman Begins was far more influential. Nolan’s 1 true masterpiece is The Prestige.
Here's a fun little fact about Nolan. On pretty much all of his set photos from his earlier films until Oppenheimer, you can see Nolan with a little TV device hanging around his neck (look it up!) . This is an old Casio EV-4500 that has been out of production for years. It's a little 4 inch LCD screen which uses older analog VHF/UHF transmission through antennas. He uses it to check the framing of a shot because he shoots on film of course and doesn't want to have a videovillage. He has been doing so with the some old analog technology for over 20 years. In order for it to work, the camera is modified with a UHF/VHF transmitter so he can locally receive the video signal and check the shot. If you're ever near a Nolan set, you can probably pick up the signal with such a device if you wanted to!

Sean must either have a heart made out of granite or be a fuckin sociopath to think Interstellar is his coldest film. As a parent I was an emotional wreck rewatching this film. Completely emotionally exhausted when it was over. Incredible film, easy top 3 Nolan film hands down.
I’m gonna go on a limb and say that, First, I’m a major Nolan fan… But Batman Begins is my least favorite Nolan film. I know I know… it just is. I never connected to that film. I’ll give it a rewatch, but it’s never been my favorite. And frankly, for me personally I think overall his Batman trilogy is the best ever made, but his other films are so spectacular that the Dark Knight trilogy is sort of the low point for him (in my opinion). I prefer his original, non-superhero films.
Tenet is easily his worst movie. The twist is good, but the premise is wayyyy too complicated. And the dialogue was weird. It was so hard to understand. I went to go see it at the drive in.... BIG MISTAKE. It's the big k cola version of Inception.

S - Interstellar, Inception, Tenet
Masterpiece: MEMENTO
Sean must either have a heart made out of granite or be a fuckin sociopath to think Interstellar is his coldest film. As a parent I was an emotional wreck rewatching this film. Completely emotionally exhausted when it was over. Incredible film, easy top 3 Nolan film hands down.
Why not both?
I don't think any of his movies are masterpieces, but I would select Memento and The Dark Knight as the closest to it
Honestly Batman Begins is something I prefer than Dark Knight
Nahh! Every A teir movies should be in S teir the man is genius.
I’m gonna go on a limb and say that, First, I’m a major Nolan fan…
But Batman Begins is my least favorite Nolan film.
Love Nolan
Dunkirk loved parts of it
Hated the beach scenes looks liked I go there in day out there
Very unrealistic
Tenet is easily his worst movie. The twist is good, but the premise is wayyyy too complicated. And the dialogue was weird. It was so hard to understand. I went to go see it at the drive in.... BIG MISTAKE. It's the big k cola version of Inception.
i had to stop watching when the guy gave Interstellar a "C", good lord...
There actually is an audio issue with Tenent. That alone puts it in B tier.
Also, at least 4 of those movies are better than Oppenheimer imo.
Oppenheimer is toward the bottom of the list. Guess I'm in the minority.
Slow news day
The action in inception was bad
Sean has constant worst takes - sorry just my opinion 😂 Ofc the spider-man wearing t shirt dude would have an instant issue about everyone else saying dark knight is the best superhero film haha
calling Tenet a masterpiece is absurd. not even top 5 Nolan
his next movie is a remake on an old british 60s tv show called the prisoner
