Like many people, when I first got into this hobby and began watching RUclips fountain pen videos, I went a bit nuts and bought several pens in a short time. The Eco was one of the first. I don’t use it very often, not because I don’t like it, but only because I found a couple other favourites. I will say, though, that I am always impressed when I do pick it up. It has been inked with a shimmer ink (Diamine Midnight Hour) ever since I got it, and even when it sits for several months, it has NEVER had a hard start.
Glad to see you and Parker back and hope you’re off to a great start to the New Year! I also am not thrilled with my TWISBI Eco, I didn’t pay attention the fact it was only a medium nib. I prefer fine nibs. I’m going to sell mine after three uses. Oh well, live and learn.
Eco's are my next step above a Preppy for "troublesome" inks -- heavy sheeners, shimmerers, stainers, etc. Something with a step up in build quality but still something easy to clean and not a terrible loss if something bad happens. Certain inks have found their forever homes in some of my Ecos. I have Emerald of Chivor in a Persian Green Eco with a 1.1 stub and it's all I'll ever need for occasions that call for that beautiful ink. I don't use my Eco's as much as some of my other TWSBI's -- the Kai and Diamond Mini are probably my favorites -- but they're wonderful pens that I don't hesitate to recommend and also collect the colors that I really like (hello, Caffe Bronze!)
Parker reminds me of my cat. When I practice Spanish, no matter where my cat is in the house she'll come running. When I can't find her I just start to practice my Spanish.
I enjoy my TWSBI Eco. It's a pen I don't use as much as I think I should. It's always flawless...unless I'm bragging to people about how reliable and flawless it is...then it will decide to hard start as if it wants to spite me! 🤣🤣🤣
Pleased to see you on the screen, smiling, and discussing pens. So far, after promising the universe that I would not buy any more pens in 2025, I've only ordered three. Not bad. But will I buy this Eco? Not a chance. Any TWSBI? Not likely. Why? I'm not going through all that again, but the world of pendom is small enough that a manufacturer has no place making false claims against another, suing for rights it never owned in the first place for something they stole from a far better company, and bullying the sellers on whose good will and sales they depend for their very existence. Once their rotten conduct became well known they eventually said, "Ooopsie!" and expected that to be the end of it. I hold a grudge, character flaw that I cherish, but no TWSBI purchases this month, next year, maybe never. Sorry, not sorry. Look it up.
Hope you and Parker have a great new year!
Thank you! You too!
Sole reason for buying my eco was that it glows in the dark, shallow and I know it ..... loving Parker's Star turn 😻 happy new year to you both!

Maybe you should change the name of your channel to Parker, Pens and Tea. I enjoy seeing her antics. 😊

Happy New Year to you AND Parker.
Happy new year to you and your cat! Ken from Latvia
Good video. I'm in need of a Diamond myself.
Pens, cats, and hydra sweaters. 2025 is off to a start.
Cats are so cool and cute....
My end cap on the ECO wiggled in a way that annoyed me. Never had any issue with my AL 580s.
HI PARKER!!! You are a SWEET kitty!!! 😻😻😻

I like to stare at Parker, lovely cat 🖤🐈⬛
So, if I’m correct, if Parker is sniffing everything, does that TECHNICALLY make her a “Nosey Parker” 🤔???
best wishes for 2015
thanks for sharing
I believe a female ginger cat is unusual, they are normally male
Are you in Canada?
Yep!
It's not "Pens & Tea", it's "Pens & Parker"
