Did the stewardess recognize you from your youtube channel and is that why she offfered you another meal? I've never had it but the color of the rice reminds me of saffron rice.
That rice appears to be colored with Tumeric. That's the case with most "yellow" rice, since Saffron is the most expensive spice in the world (between $10-$20 USD per gram).
