The cake came out so nice. I cannot believe you were able to save it. I totally feel your pain about being over stimulated with a baby. Caring for a baby, working and keeping up with home chores is almost impossible. But give yourself grace, just focus on the things you are able to get done even if it’s just doing a small load of laundry. Caring for a baby is equivalent to having 3 F/t jobs. This season will fly by so try to enjoy it and be nice to yourself.

Lulu vibes have been low for me mainly because of the lack of size inclusivity. Stores rarely carry my size anymore and even getting sizes on the website can be hit or miss. I have a $200 gift card I got for Christmas that I haven’t used… I literally can’t find anything that interests me enough.
Omg I totally hear you. I don't know what's going on and why they've pulled most of their extended sizing especially online. When I worked there I did find our store had a surplus of markdowns in sizes 14+ that barely got shopped so they did stop sending us the fun colors and seasonal stuff and just stuck to the core items and colors but now they've taken it all out of stores I've noticed. I feel like it is a step backwards though
my son is almost 10 months and boy do i miss the gummy smiles! My son has two bottoms and two tops and teething is a JOURNEY
Haha I miss them too already! Although I am enjoying his cute two little front teeth. I am presuming those top ones are just around the corner though. Haha it sure is a journey 😩 thankful to have a break from it for a bit. I can't imagine those little ones who get them back to back to back

I've done an old navy comparison before! Gym shark is so hard to get ahold of here in Canada. I have also considered trying alo for a comparison but I honestly hate shopping in that store 🫣 never tried fabletics though!
The dance studio pants are cute. If you freeze the layers, you can ice them frozen. It’s much easier and the cake will be super moist.
Thank you! Yes I thought refrigerating the cake layers would be enough but sadly it just made it too moist. I think I'll try freezing next time and probably taller cakes with less layers might help too
Okay so I got to the cake part. I actually decorate cakes as a hobby and have taken classes, etc. one thing I’d recommend is making the frosting more soft by adding more of whatever liquid is in your recipe. And then you started off good with doing a “crumb coat” and if the frosting wasn’t so thick and sticky it would have been fine to smooth over the cakes without ruining them. I also have 4 inch high cake pans so you’d really only need like 2 of those stacked to make a tall cake vs. 4 two inch ones. Using fewer layers helps with it falling apart too. Also, try to do a pound cake recipe that’s on the box so it’s heavier. I believe it’s just more eggs?? Then once the crumb coat is on and if you’d like to refrigerate a bit to seal it, that’s fine. Then go in with the main frosting. But again, the frosting should be pretty creamy so it doesn’t stick to the cake. Your final cake ended up being awesome though! I totally felt the pressure with you during that part of the video as I’ve definitely cried over my cakes before!
Omg thank you for all these tips!! I will definitely incorporate these next time. I agree - definitely needed smaller but taller cakes. Less layers and it would be taller more like the inspiration photo. Also I didn't even know it made a pound cake type recipe on the box. I'll have to take a closer look next time that's a great tip!

Ooohh, the light purple dance studio pants look super cute on you!! Have you tried the defined jacket with a hood? I just got the Vitapink one and I sized up to make it more like a loose “jacket” and I love it sooo much! It’s Nulu fabric and super soft. I’m guessing you’ve tried them though. I also have white and now want black.
Thank you very much! I do have a define jacket with a hood! Funny that is actually the next video I plan to post is a comparison of all the define jackets! I got my true to size in that one but it is the older version that had a mesh vent in the back. I wish they didn't take that out of the new ones. I really liked that feature. But they are super nice though! A great light layer
