The dunk on Perkins @ 1:30 displays a part of Jordan that is overlooked by a lot of players and especially today's players. He goes up, slams into him, hangs after contact, and dunks it in his face. Now you tell me what player today wouldn't act like they won the NBA championship after a dunk like that? Granted he's hurt so he focuses on the pain instead of celebrating but even when not hurt, it took a dunk or play that was special to him, for him to celebrate or tell other people how good it was.
He let his game do the talking and didn't need to show up his opponent or gloat after every great play in order to feel like he accomplished something. That's, imo, the sign of a truly great player. Doesn't need to toot his own horn, he let his play and others do it. That's also why you see so many of the great players of today go off like they won the lottery if they get an awesome dunk. Because they're not in his company as far as greatness goes. To me, it's a sign of weakness to celebrate too much. Almost like you need to do it just to reassure yourself that you are good. He didn't need to do that.

Michael Jordan's dunks were just as graceful as they were powerful; his legs, apart from springing his elevation, then became as elegant as those of a ballet dancer, & thus seemed to have a life of their own, a feature no other player in basketball ever had; Paxson was a dagger and always came up with a big bailout shot; if Jordan & Pippen are the greatest basketball duo of all time, Marv Albert & Mike Fratello have to be the greatest commentating duo of all time, Fratello being the Czar, and Albert being the King!

Anyone felt like MJ averaged high assists in this series just to prove a point to Magic that he can also be a pass first guy?

Good thing Mike was wearing some of the most comfortable Jordans to ball in. Them infrared 6s morphed to your foot.

This is a peak Jordan for me. Maybe 1988 Jordan was a physically at his peak but as basket ball player this Jordan had it all, basket ball IQ, mentality, defense, quick dribbling, shooting, his airness. Then he reached his peak in shooting in 1996, I mean his fadeway was so beatiful..

1991 is _absolute apex_ Jordan. People say 1993 or 96 or 88-89.
      1991. Next subject...

@@AnHebrewChild Yeah its between 91 or 93, but I prefer 91, his Avg Fg was .539 in reguler and .524 in playoff. Awesome..

Jordan said that he believes the best version of himself is 92. I remember him and Kobe used to talk about who would when a one on one out of 92 Jordan vs 03 Kobe.

I like a lot of sports, my professional background is as a physical trainer, as a Brazilian, I'm more of a soccer guy. But I was able to follow the trajectory of Michael Jordan since the 80s.
He's the biggest and best sportsman I've seen.
Although I haven't seen the great athletes before the 80s, live, I know their stories, their numbers and performance, I've seen many recordings of their games.
Great sportsmen, but if I have to name one, it will be Michael Jordan.
Jordan is the greatest athlete in team sports. Ever.
And perhaps the greatest of all sports.
    Of course, my opinion.

It's the opinion of many. I'm more of a boxer guy but I've seen Jordan since his rookie season and I haven't seen another athlete like him. The guy's pure athleticism was like nothing I have ever seen before or after him. He is the greatest athlete I have ever "witnessed."

7:23 OK, with a bad toe, he steps on a CHAIR into the crowd and escapes unharmed. Amazing. How did he avoid serious injury?--throughout his career (until the great irony--getting hit in the knee by a teammate in 2003)?

I never really realized it, but MJ was basically a PG for the Finals. He definitely put up PG numbers and arguably outdid Magic in that regard, though to be fair, Magic was missing some weapons.
