    Great video, Thanks Dave. This hook is also good for hanging that a drying out in a 'hot tent'. The stand-off from the tent canvas is a good fire safety measure. I guess the round single center pole model would work in the same manner. Thanks Greg in Thailand.

    I do believe you need a tripod to hold the cold end of stock for the propane forge, it would help on only heating what the part your working.

    Cool idea
    kinda situation-specific given having to have a 2x4 but wondering how it could be modified to allow the use of some cordage so it could be put on a tree or something
    really want to move from where i live to a place that would allow me to work on blacksmith skills - backyard not available.
    good video thanks Dave

    That little lantern is a price of art even for a reproduction. How many hours or forging you get out of those 20 pound pepsin tanks?

    Niffty idea sir. Think I'm going to work this into my shelter system. Of course not near as heavy duty. I use a Polish poncho lavvu and my trekking pole. I have a uco candle lantern. Any thoughts on materials? I immediately thought binder clips and rubber bands (God i gotta get outta the office and outside).

    That's an awesome tent Dave. Is it made of Oil Cloth? I was thinking about doing my own Oil Cloth tarp this summer just as a neat project, and to save some money. How much propane does your furnace usually use up if you use it for a good day? Take care Dave.

      None of the non coniferous saps that I have tried worked as an accelerant or fuel.

    how much blacksmithing can you do with hardwood fires instead of coal/gas forging ?

    • @Jesses001
      @Jesses001 8 лет назад

      +Martin Webb You can do everything on a hardwood charcoal fire. Might take a good amount of wood though.
