It scratches easy. When replacing grates, you have to very careful. It must have a thin layer of power coat on it. The oven works great, same with the burners. Ive had this stove for 6 months. If I knew how easy it scratches I would of upgraded to a different model.
Thank you for the comment! We are sorry to hear that the grates scratched the surface of your stove. We also recommend using Bar Keepers Friend for stoves and rubbing it in with a soft cloth. There are also stainless steel stove scratch remover kits on the market. Hopefully this helps!
I would never ever buy LG product. It's a junk. The customer service is terrible made in Korea. It will just stop working in a couple years in my experience.

The General electric is a piece of garbage, don't waste your money. I had it for just under 2 months, and the oven doesn't work anymore. Waiting for the repair man to come, so I don't have use of the oven for a week.
LG ovens, both gas and electric, do not have a heating element on the bottom of the oven. Listen, bub, don’t you think your review ought to have mentioned that? G O N Z A G A Hey buddy - ya got a dead cat in there, or what?
Black surface on gas stove is a NIGHTMARE to keep clean.
