Another American sub here. I’ve always been an Anglophile, and the fact that there are those of you in the UK that enjoy hunting, shooting, firearms history, and vintage arms just like myself, warms the heart endears me to your culture even more. Great channel, keep up the good work. You are well on your way to your first 100k subs.
Recently bought a stoeger condor 12 from a local flea market and really fell in love with over under shotguns and your videos really inspire me to keep purchasing amazing and beautiful shotguns especially old ones and I’ll definitely be checking out holts online auction to purchase some of these beautifully made shotguns
Wanted to thank you for making these videos putting a spotlight on the breadth of modern guns available at the Holt's auction. I managed to get a hold of the SO2 (way above estimate, obviously) from this past auction. There's no way on earth I would've been able to afford one in that condition otherwise, and I wouldn't have known to look to Holt's gun auctions online for one had I not seen your videos.
The animal on the lever at 32:50 is a "Vintiago", an italian mythological beast, the companion of the italian mythological hunter "Vintio", who hunts at night in the woods of calabria. There you go. You're welcome. Edit: Nah. But could be, couldn't it?
Good to see a video comparing the Miroku grades. I have had several Miroku's over the years Mk60 Grade 1 Game, MK70 Sport, MK60 Universal Sport G5 (regrettably sold😢) and currently a MK60 Universal Sport G1 and MK38 Sport G1. My personal opinion is grade 5 is not worth the extra, especially for clay shooting on 2 counts 1) grade 5 wood although beautiful is weaker and is more likely to crack 2) ever had a piece of clay take a chunk out of your stock, I have! For a game shoot then grade 5 is nice, however personally I think that a Miroku grade 1 is the best value gun on the planet and will outlast most of us!!
The Swan neck at 4.00 minutes maybe that's for someone who is say right handed but left eye dominant? Look at how snooker players like gary Wilson que the ball when the opposite eye is dominant it often looks really uncomfortable
Jonny, there is not one Holts video I have not enjoyed. Thank you. My only gripe is that they always take me about 30 minutes more to watch when I watch them last thing at night as the soothing music overlay is too relaxing and asleep I go. Maybe some HOL(s) T's Planet suite in future.....
@@tgsoutdoors Could be. I assume then that they are legal for migratory waterfowl and other hunting in Britain. In the US, they were outlawed in the early decades of smokeless powder and, obviously, long before plastics.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GET A NEW CAMERA , trying to look at allll of the beautiful guns and half the video is out of focus , WE CAN'T SEE THE ENGRAVING 😒🤔😔🤨🥴🧐🤯🤯🤯
@Pugna you obviously have no idea what you're talking about, they should focus on the gun for more than 1/2 a second that way you can see the engraving and detail, wood figure and so on ...
Talk about looking the gift horse in the mouth.... This is not the guy you want in your showroom prior to a sale. I think he found something wrong with every gun he held. He must be part french..........

I find these videos thoroughly enjoyable - gun-related ASMR needs to be more of a thing.
It’s cool watching you nerd out on these. Awesome to see and learn about so many vintage guns. More please!!!

Came here to enjoy the finer things in life. This channel provides that in spades!
Arcaded fences. My Love. ❤😍😘
Little boy let loose in a toy shop? Great video.
Love that Heeren action. I’ve been impatiently waiting for one to come up for sale here in Canada for a long time.

Heaven of side by side guns thank you 🙏❤️❤️
This is hardcore gunporn, and i love it ☝️
I really like the Holts videos you do, just wish I had to bottle to buy one with out seeing it.
Looking forward to to the sealed bids one 👍
Would be interesting to see an estimated value on some of the guns John
check out the auction catalogue !
@@billfernandez9364 Anything from a few hundred pounds to thousands - very dependant on the maker and quality
32:19 It's called an Alligator/caiman
Do you know of any 12 ga side by side hammer shotguns that have spring ejectors?

i think that Lang hammergun may have been owned by a friend of mine, looks almost identical!
Shocked no one noticed Jonny put the 275 Rigby away cocked.
If I were to buy one over and under with no budget to last me years of use what would you recommend
Something that shoots clay and birds. Please reply
Go for a Holland and Holland or Purdy as they would last you your lifetime and then some if you look after it
6-09-2020.Hi are there more of those damaskus shotguns?
What make and model is that 358 streat pull rifle if anyone knows plz
Hi always a pleasure watching u. I am a small gun collector..Wondering if u may suggest a good value for money like a nice AYA 2 which is available
I believe Mr Adams made a large calibre revolver.
Sir i have Brescia side by side gun 1948
Sir please make some video for top 10 companies side by side guns which one is best
Once again, some beautiful pieces there, apart from the 358 Win which is horrible. It's like something Theoben designed for Actionman in the 90s ! :D
Those winchester lever action shotguns in the the states some what high in price
would like ti hear the starting bids ob theses gus , to make it even more interesting
All easily searchable on the Holts app
0:45 I know they were not but that gun makes me think "made by the English, engraved by the French."
all these stunning guns and now the lead ban?
That Sommer rifle begs the question of when does a straight pull become a pump-action 🤔
ruclips.net/video/vLtKnm0hYpc/видео.html
The Krieghoff is exceptionally close to the line!
Is that Winchester rifle not considered a pump? So not section 1 ?
The .358 Winchester? I think it's definitely more of a pump action than a straight-pull which would make it Section 5.
No offense, but I can't believe that you are not wearing cotton gloves to handle these treasures.
A quick wipe on the barrell with a cloth will remove any finger marks
As an American, the English gun culture intrigues me
Subbed
That 36in so4 has my name all over it.
It’s niiiiiiice
Not a Fausti fan then? Seen a few through the workshop have you?? I'm a Beretta fan so you won't afend.

I shall suggest it to Sasha for next time!
Would like to have one of those guns, but we in the Netherlands can only shoot steel shot .... guns wouldn't like that ...
And sadly William and Son is no more. A victim of the dreaded plague.
Really enjoyed the video but had to be careful not to drool on the keyboard. Any guess as to why that 8b's barrels bulged?
Plastic wad home loads had a higher pressure than expected.

@@tgsoutdoors How does bulging like that effect the useability of that gun? Is it still safe?
Very very good from iraq
I like english gun you sailing
