- This footage released by the 72nd Mechanised Brigade reportedly shows Ukrainian anti-tank forces attacking Russian BMP repeatedly.
Some of the footage shows the Russian tank being blown up to pieces in several explosions.
This footage has not been verified by The Sun.

Diesel does not explode like that. What you are watching is the ammunition or explosives that were being carried. Once atomised by the explosion the diesel will burn pretty well.

I was very close to two tanks that cooked off like this in the gulf... just a matter of 30 or 40 meters... fortunately most of the blast goes up not out, but what goes up comes down! Apparently road wheels landed in an artillery harbour area over 3 miles away.Terrifying.
I'm assuming you are talking about M1 Abrams? If so, they have a special panel over the ammunition storage that is specifically designed to blow off in case off the ammunition carvhing fire and exploding.
@@FloodExterminator not Abrams no. I was an Royal engineer in the Armoured Engineer regiment. They were 165mm demolition AVREs (armoured vehicle RE). Very specialised but also very old. No blow out panels then. If you Google "avre explodes" you'll see them going up. I'm one of the blobs in there somewhere!!!

I’ve spent some time around tanks; enough to know that even the most basic of tank has ridiculously thick armour.
To watch one simply explode like a fuel can is humbling.
I know nothing of the weaponry but based on the fact that tanks are tanks, this is insane.
These are BMP's, not tanks! BMP's are far thinner armour than a tank. Depleted Uranium rounds can easily penetrate an infantry fighting vehicle.
This is an infantry fighting vehicle, or armoured personnel carrier, not a tank, they are rated to halt 7.62NATO pretty much all over, and .50 BMG at certain parts of the armour(they're not that heavily armoured, their role is to get troops into combat efficiently and fast), anything over that and you can get through and throughs.
That was not a tank.
you probably want to spend some more time around tanks until you can tell the difference between a tank and an IFV which has comparatively ridiculously thin armour ( between 6mm and 30mm in the case of a BMP )

What strikes me a odd about a lot of these vids is the number of times the Russian vehicles seem to be wandering about the countryside as if they were on a picnic outing. Surely by now they would have got wsie to the fact that if you want to use armour succesfully on the battlefield you need the support of wooden tops (the PBI).
Judging by the loss of Russian tanks the last 13 months or so, they surely haven't gotten wise ( and don't call me Shirley....uh.....surely.....😅)
