It is pretty common for Ukrainian soldiers to completely disable any armour they see. Maybe the tank had just run out of feul, or had a simple engine problem. Completely destroying it takes it out of the picture. But regardless, russia is still salvaging a lot of rubbish from the battlefields were they can. Ukraine is keeping the pressure on. More support needed from democratic countries to force Putin to end the war. (which will only happen if people of Russian get tired to losses and failures.)

To everyone who is about to write "the tanks look abandoned", it is because, believe it or not, it is pretty standard military practice to destroy enemy equipment. By completely destroying these tanks, it denies the further use of them by orcs. I am sure that if there was a chance of capturing them, the Ukrainians would. If they are destroying them, it would only be to the detriment of the orcish hordes.

One tank appears to be running. If so, an automatic fire extinguisher system should deploy. But the rule is destroy it if you can't capture it. The bombs appear to be grenades or small bomblets. Most likely not HEAT types. So, an open hatch is the target. Turret hatches probably better than driver's hatch. The Russian ammunition design apparently does not use full cartridges using ;'brass', and I suspect the high explosive in the HE and HEAT projectiles is volatile (as it was in WWII), and that would complete the catastrophic event. A small white phosphorous bomb would flush out any crew, and no one would bother closing a hatch when bailing out.

iirc the grenades with fins they drop in the end are actually old but converted Soviet HEAT hand grenades. They normally come with ballute to stabilise it front first in flight, that is removed and replaced with 3d printed fins.

Most drone dropped munitions are anti-personnel. If one of those hits the interior of an armoured vehicle it will still cause damage and maybe even start a fire.

Military equipment, like any product, has its own expiration date. That is, they become physically and morally obsolete and turn into scrap metal that can be handed over for remelting. Thus, in fact, the cost of these abandoned combat vehicles can be quite low.

Bless the Sun!! they’re doing their bit to keep up morale showing us endless clips of Russian armour and personnel being destroyed in what would appear to be a one sided conflict. But this is not balanced at all, this terrible war is exacting an awful toll on the Ukrainian army and the Ukrainian people too. I guess we have to understand this but not see it and take what comfort we can in seeing Putins war machinery being destroyed. Keep fighting Ukraine. Brave brave people.
