She is also a huge supporter of we gay folk and wrote a song in the late 90's supporting marriage equality, risking her career to make her point. It's called La Différence. When she's toured in the likes of Russia they tell her she can't sing it, but she does it anyway for the people and has paid huge fines for it. And there are a couple more songs since then. I was so happy when I learned that about her, knowing that I was safe with this woman who broke into my soul. There's an interview where she says obviously she's not gay but if she was... Charlize Theron is her type! It's hilarious 😂 She also did a big campaign about ten years ago with Eva Longoria. A big photographer did a series of photos of straight celebrities playing gay couples, it was beautiful. And Lara with Eva was 🔥, as you would expect. She's just an amazing human being.

Have you heard "tu es mon autre" a great duet with Lara and Maurane. They sing along together and their voices matched so beautifuly. They were both from Belgium and very close friends. Maurane passed away a few years ago, a true tragedy for Lara and all her fans.
