At this point In unite we can all agree we don't need all rounders, why do we need all rounders when defenders can deal more damage more stuns, they can also play in range and in meele with way more hp than any all rounder.
Developers need to balance game roles equally.
Nerf defenders damage, buff their tankiness.
A CC combo that stuns you for exactly 2.6 seconds and with that much dmg truly is illegal 😂
Ngl I've missed a no. of Hydro Pumps as well as become CC'd out of Hydro Pumps numerous times, so it having CC doesn't directly equate to "nerf this PLEASE"
@MonsieurDDMonsterr You are right, but that also sounds like a skill issue. Just because it has Cc doesn't mean it needs to be nerfed, but there is way too much Cc with no drawback that almost all Cc should get nerfed. Blastoise specifically does too much damage for the time it stunlocks opponents.
@@theemeraldmage2910 no drawback? Hydro Pump can be easily CC'd *itself* for no compensation, like CD compensation and both moves need aim, amongst others

@MonsieurDDMonsterr Umm, getting cc'd is just ... apart of the game. Do you want blastoise to be unstoppable?(he already is hinderant resistant while inside surf) You can say what you said for most pokemon that are reasonably balanced. My main point is that blastoise does too much damage. I believe that the bigger problem is that Cc(or, more specifically, stuns/knockups)as a whole are given to too many pokemon that are far too strong. Now, there are very few counterplay to any sort of Cc. Namely being more Cc and full heal. I just feel like Cc should be limited to fewer pokemon such as defenders.
That being said, Blastoise is wildly broken, and if the only counter to a Cc monster is another Cc monster, then we have another problem.
It needs some nerfs,but it is very funny to use😂😂😂😂

I know some people would say nerf this build but in my opinion I think it’s perfectly balanced I’d say just nerf the surf damage because 1k damage early game is pretty insane

Blastoise is fine, even the damage. Cris makes anything look good, and makes good look top tier
Half of the comments/replies I've seen have "Blastoise needs nerfs" to some degree, but in reality, only Water Spout needs buffing and we have ourselves the most solid Defender
40-60k is blastoise's average damage throughout 100s of games. Nerfing damage based on this one singular video is nothing but stupidity

@lsnorlax9653 the only thing I disagree with is Water Spout. Feels like ~is just~ a severely nerfed Thunder (Pikachu's or Miraidon's for comparison works)
On one occasion with the same Build I did 150k Damage with Blastoise. Obviously my Attackers were only dedicated to farming and walking around the map while I did the work. Carrying these types of people makes the game a bit difficult

My main problem with blast is the unite move which is literally one of best unite moves in the entire game has a huge aoe stun does too much damage and on a low cooldown
You can eject button with it too which is so criminal

I’ve voted to ban blastoise in literally every single draft game since day 1. He’s the most broken pokemon and far more annoying than even miraidon

I disagree, Slowbro's scald is supossed to deal good damage, in exchange you loose the ability to displace your opponents (sort of like flailax), the problem with slowbro is that it survives for way too long and has one of the best unite moves in the game.
Lapras and Goodra don't have a lot of CC nor displacement, they're pretty much bulky all-rounders, so unless they rework them completly there's no need to nerf them.
Trev, and crustle are the only defenders that need nerfs. Blastoise is fine given the tradeoff. Blastoise loses A LOT of survivability in exchange for damage. Unfortunately Snorlax is THE worst defender. I mention him as a comparison to crustle. Crustle has about a 5 second mime barrier where snorlax has a 10 second shield that goes in cooldwon AFTER the wall is dropped. So it's more like a 13 second shield. Also, all defenders except trev and crustle lose A LOT of survivability with attack items. So either buff lagging defenders or slightly nerf trev and crustle.
@@closeenough1343 why my boy crustle? Honestly it is good as it is. If it is touched once again it will end up as the worst mon in unite. The problematic defenders are only blastoise, trevanent becuase of obvius reasons. Snorlax could use a buff white mamo can have little buff.

Blastoise and Buzzwole both need nerfs ASAP for the same reason: chain CC while dealing a lot of damage (with the turtle being a defender is crazy how much damage it delivers)
They don't get better at the game Buzzwole doesn't have any getaway options and Blastoise is fine Chris is just good with any Pokemon to have them look broken
If you took away some of Blastoise's HP, changed Hydro Pump from a push/stun to a slow, and reclassified it as an All-Rounder, i think it would be fair.
As a defender in it's current state, it does WAY too much damage...

Yes, I get it, u hate CC. As do I. Nonetheless, Blastoise is solid. Maybe Water Spout could be stronger but otherwise Blastoise isn't *needing* buffs

@MonsieurDDMonsterr it's refers to the moveset in play here which is surf pump .it absolutely needs nerfs and this opinion is not convinced by any youtubers video. I have always felt strongly of some nerfs needed of the surf pump build.but rapid spin build is not deserving of nerfs.the surf pump build is meant to be a stun build but deals way too much damage.some ideas of nerfs are increasing its cooldown or reducing the damage of surf pump build.

And outside of CC (which is a universal difficulty, not just on Blastoise), the aforementioned build has its weaknesses too, which I've been exploited on several times; at least with Hydro Pump, the start-up allows time to dodge *and* one can just miss entirely, itself being CC'd out of
Amongst others, that I think overall don't justify nerfs. U feel strongly on this, so I feel a "agree to disagree" coming on. I feel strong in thinking Blastoise is solid enough

Almost every defender in this game can deal insane amounts of damage. Trev, blast, lapras, lax, goopa, and even some supports do ridiculous damage on top of tankiness, stuns and utility
@kenzotenma684 you are missing one key fact. In exchange for that damage they lose the ability to defend.
@@closeenough1343 do they though? Last I checked, they all can defend very handily while dishing out insane damage and making the game unplayable for the enemies.
These kind of mons are the only reason why I run full heal on almost every single mon I play. And they nerfed that too a while ago.
Also, unrelated but look at zacian. Guy has everything but doesn't see that much usage because according to people, one little nerf = unplayable. Or play rough mimikyu also still being pretty much broken

No it doesn't, and resonant guard activates once every 10 seconds iirc. Any form of damage to an enemy triggers its effect. It doesn't need to be skill damage only

I don't think Blastoise needs nerfs as much. Maybe the damage itself needs a tiny nerf since he is not supposed to not carry games with just that. It shouldn't deal so much damage and stun at the same time.
Blastoise never carries games on it's own, atleast not the CC build with guard, spoon and focus/exp share. You need some sort of assistance from teammates to win games. Just nonsensical yap all day long
@@Warlord_Megatron Yeah, talking about the things that happened to me a bit too often is definitely nonsensical for you. I am talking about my experience and you know how the SoloQ teammates tend to be and so, I always carry my teammates. Its a curse to play that build unfortunately and while reliance on teammates is required, it isn't complete loss without it. You may not 1v1 against anyone but that's not a problem.
@@UltimateRaven Okay so you're telling me that in your personal experience, if your team is trying to backcap or scattered or just not participating in battle and their team is United, you alone as a blastoise, can kill majority of them and prevent them from doing ray?
@@UltimateRaven carrying with blastoise is limited to getting the backline out of the way with your combos but if your team is consisted of clowns who are basically afk while moving around, enemies are bound to run you over. The follow up on blast's combos is an absolute must if you want to win against a slightly competent enemy team and this is not what I call carrying your team.

Just shave off some of Hydro Pump's damage and bump down Surf's Unstoppable to Hinderance Resistance, so people can actually combat the wave riding.
While I'm not an advocate for 3+ long chain stuns in any game where it's PvP, I'd rather just be locked down by a Defender than being locked down AND be killed by it far too easily.
Brobeam, Play With Me, Seismic Slam & Tsareena's Unite all combat Surf (Level 9+) as well as him having CC resistance in Rapid Spin. Blastoise isn't anything like Miraidon 😂

And that Unstoppable instances *shouldn't* have too much other weaknesses outside of stronger effects? *AND* that CC's a universal phenomenon and not just unique to Blastoise???
Honestly, no. Need some last hitting and nerfing pump's damage will remove it from the list of few reliable solo characters in the game. Make the ranking and matchmaking better so that people don't have to rely on a singular mon to be good to hold more than one enemies like the case of blastoise. Just make the game so that your teammates are competent enough to compensate for a defender not doing damage and if you can't do that, taking away it's damage simply makes your game even more unplayable than it was before especially for soloq.
@@MonsieurDDMonsterr Aiming should be the bare MINIMUM of something with that much in one button, and the CD is largely mitigated by Blastoise's 3-hit passive if it's actively fighting.
And while CC is a 'universal phenomenon', not many Mon have a 2.6 second chain of it that also does considerable damage in the Defender category. Blastoise gets to have its cake and eat it too.

@@MonsieurDDMonsterr nice paragraph. Lets make it simple for you: stun duration paired with this dmg from a defender is a bit overtuned. He can 100-0 a lot of the roster without them being able to move once, while being one of the tankiest in the game. Dont gut it, tune it down. Simple, right?

I can't go into detail on how much CC is too much (X-Scissor Crustle D:), especially as a Defender. What I can say is that Cris makes any mon look stronger than they actually are. So if CC is the make or break of this mon, what exactly would one have in mind to nerf or rework them without making them underwhelming or underperforming??
@@MonsieurDDMonsterrmaybe stop sucking blastoise's d and you'll come to the realisation that it is too op. Crustle already got nerfed it definitely didn't deserve. Atleast crustle needs to be in the face of the enemy to stun them. Blastoise is ranged in comparison. Besides that, crustle doesn't do any damage with x scissor if you're not playing crit build or stacking, while blastoise can do so much without stacking.
Also, crustle stun is already weaker than blastoise stun as you can use your abilities for a very brief duration between the three hits of x scissor (unless it's into a wall), while you literally cannot make any move with blastoise combo.
No defender should be able to finish a game with more than 20k damage done.
If we see defenders do 50-100% of attackers damage, I want to see 50-100% of defenders tankiness on attackers.
