    A beautiful car beautifully presented. I had a modded 1300GT (1.6 crossflow) back in 1974 with the bubble arches as I was always an ardent fan of the beautiful broad speed racing escorts as a schoolboy. I still think it is probably the ultimate of all Escort body styles. More power to you buddy, I love what you are doing and have now subscribed 👍🇬🇧 live long and prosper!

    Craig, you should be very proud of yourself the workmanship is second to none and the car is taking shape really nicely and i bet you can't wait to get it on the road! using the mini subframe for the seat runners was a great idea and probably saved a few quid!
    Would you be interested in selling one of the locking mechanism pieces that you cut off of the mini subframe as i am using an older style cobra seat subframe without the locking lever for my passenger seat in my mini and always worry a bit when carrying a passenger. Keep up the great work.

      @performanceclassics1986  10 месяцев назад

      Hello Steve, yes fully built up the tank including sender unit, return pipe work, breather pipe work, filler neck etc then fitted it into the car. It does take a few attempts to get the filler neck aligned properly. I found leaving the jubilee clips loose until the neck aligned properly then carefully removing the tank and tightening up the clips worked really well.

    • @performanceclassics1986
      @performanceclassics1986  Год назад

      Hello, the discs are just standard size but I don’t think the princess callipers are really complimented enough due to having no servo fitted. If I had a servo fitted, I think the princess callipers would be soo much more appreciated because the car does stop well if you apply a lot of pedal pressure.
