Just my opinion tho, and I'm almost sure that Mikael's voice had a thing or two to do with the band getting rid of the Death Metal in their sound.

i hear Coal, i hear Malina, i hear Einar getting better and better, i love the hook, and of coarse my beautiful Baard boy is bringing the groove hard! first Castaway Angels, and now this. Can this get better?
Needed a few listens but I've come to absolutely love this. The song may be a tad too straight forward for some of the older Leprous fans but Baard's drumming is a dynamic as ever, the strings arrangements are stellar, the buildups are very satisfying and the Cello solo seals the deal. Very exited for this album.
It may be straight forward for traditional Leprous fans, but it's still pretty damned different to most music out there, with the drums, chord progressions, dynamics etc.
@@marcusking8507 Very true but Prog fans are weird, once a band doesn't have as much different time sigs and 32nd notes as their older sound people will almost always give them crap regardless of the quality of their newer albums, I think this is genuinely wonderful and I thoroughly enjoyed Pitfalls but Prog fans can be snobbish I guess.
@@Gravityys Poor Steven Wilson :(
@@Gravityys Songwriting is key for me, which is one of the reasons I enjoyed Pitfalls myself. These guys get it right in a way that the likes of Opeth (whose earlier, 00s stuff I love) lost their grip on.
@@marcusking8507 Pitfalls was brilliant but Leprous haven't changed their sound as drastically as Opeth. I myself enjoy their post-Watershed material (although to varying degrees) but I think it's worth noting that bands like Opeth have evolved, pushed and experimented with their sound to the point where it might be difficult to put out anything that doesn't sounds derivative. Just my opinion tho, and I'm almost sure that Mikael's voice had a thing or two to do with the band getting rid of the Death Metal in their sound.
Wow beside the awesome song, I had forgotten how cool this video was! Needed a rewatch after yesterday's concert! :D It deserves more views!
Perfect song for next James Bond movie.
These guys need to get to the commercial success where they can tour with a full classical orchestra.
At their current pace, we can expect either a Leprous or a Haken album every single year.
Good deal.
This was my introduction to Leprous. If everything they did is this good (judging by the comments) then I have been sleeping on them for way too long. Namely, until I was today years old.
So you must listen their first albums
The Vanishing type of ending. Amazing song and amazing movie.
Einar has an amazing voice, here is so emotional.
When I listen to Leprous after a long time , it unlocks so many memories and I feel better, all the time
What a discovery for me. Just awesome. 11/10.
What a journey. The contrast they created between the chorus and main theme is masterful!
I see you also like TesseracT!!! LETSSS GOOOO
Sheer creativity and technical ability. Masterful.
6:00 That drum fill omg!
Looks like in 20 years Leprous will tour with whole orchestra. Fine, I love it!
The moment this song started, literally seconds into the track, I knew this album was going to be a magnificent journey. What I now realise, following listening to the album, I woefully underestimated it.
This band will be historic!!
What a promise! On the announced European tour we want to see classical musicians with the band on stage. No recorded tapes.
Wouldn't it be cool for Rick Beato to do a "what makes this song great?" for Leprous? Wonder which one(s?) they'd do, but this is probably one of their coolest songs they've put out, imo
I may have requested a few times on Rick's comments 😂😂😂 If u have clout - go for it!
Im happy to see someone say this cause its literally my favorite leprous song. Never saw that coming.
Thats a wonderful idea. There is so much going on in their compositions
@@MaciekCzwartos Ur cover of Stuck is so good! 💙
There’s a guy that does “what makes this song stink” and it’s hilarious and well put together, he has done 4 of them so far
Another brilliant masterpiece from The Norwegian band:-)Makes me so proud to be an Norwegian:-)L and R to you all:-)
The dynamics these guys bring is insane. Every member is musically brilliant!
This may be "Running Low" but they always take musical expression and creativity and soar to new heights! Seriously one of the greatest bands to ever have existed.
The best band on the planet at this point!!!
Musicianship is off the charts here. Very creative.
Fantastici, questo gruppo e dei migliori che mi sia capitato di sentire.
What a song, what a video. Thank you for the work
I just love the guitar's chord sequences from 4:10 dang
Love the tasty riff by Robin during the chorus!
After 5 to 10 listens.... damn this song is great! I'm so hyped for the album!
Gonna be a lot of _"Vocal coach reacts to..."_ videos.
Wonderful song, with great arrangements. Congratulations Leprous!
Couldn't help notice that he's digging the grave with a flat edge snow shovel. Very tough to dig with those!
This is magical. Song of the year right here, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve listened to this song since it released.
Reminds me of Sleep Together by Porcupine Tree. Hell yes, Leprous killing it again.
Had no clue who these guys were but interesting to Porcupine Tree and Opeth fans here
I can't believe the "from the flame" box and key makes a revisit and we still dont know what is inside of it! ARGHH!
Still a very nice song although it took a couple of relistens for me. Can't wait for the new album!
It reminds me "Song Of I" from Steven Wilson ! :)
Organic, epic, bluesy. Nice new artistical direction.
White costumes, brass band and groovy vibe like the Bilateral era, great !
Most underrated band
Wow. Just wow. This band never ceases to surprise and entertain me. Thanks for the great creation as always my Norwegian friends.
Wow I was not expecting that change at the miracle/livable part... Great song. Can't wait for a full release from these guys.
Fantastic. This track feels something like a 'breaking of the chains' moment. Different vibes of 'freedom' and 'enjoying playing the music' that isn't there in previous songs and albums (All of Leprous' song vibes are good in different ways!).
Can't wait to hear the whole album. Well done team Leprous!
💓
Wow... It's unexpected... Powerful.
WOW!! Seriously! This band always blows my mind! Every time they release something new I think "surely they can't get better"... Yet here we are! PUMPED for the new album!
Love this whole song but around 4:45 (cello solo) and on to the end of the song really give me the tingly jinglies all over
Quality earworms like this and Have I Ever are seriously hard to come by and I am needless to say quite impressed.
I really fcking LOVE Leprous. There are not enough bands out there where you can find these variate of compositions. Since some heavy proggy metal songs to these kind of jazzy, rock pop songs, they NEVER disappoints.
One of my favorites band of all time, no doubt. They really love what they do and I can’t do more than enjoy, buy their stuff and thank them for creating these wonderful pieces.
