Oh no, he's hot! well you'll have to make sure your computer has enough memory as MMD takes quite a lot of space and when you run the program it reduces your computer speed. I recommend at least a windows 7 (I'm now using windows 10 and MMD works perfectly fine without really eating my speed), vista probably won't do. As for specific stuff, I'm not a pro so I cannot tell. Hope this helps.
I've tried to download a few models and they all downloaded succesfully but then when I try to add them in MMD it doesn't work? Like, there's nothing I can click on to add them in if you understand what I mean. Is it because I'm using a mac or? I'm kinda new to this so ;o;
