Oh, the reference in Wizard101 gets better. All those points in the timeline that you need to fix, the disruptions are caused by the meddling of another time-traveling dog named "The Maestro". The dungeon also has a secret optional fight against a quartet of "Cybermanders", which are basically cybermen, but as anthropomorphic salamanders.
Dungeons And Dragons artist Keith Parkinson (who died in 2005 from Leukemia) did an image for the Dragonlance books back in the later 1980s that depicted 2 wizards fighting each other (one being a gold skinned Rastlin Majure and the other being his master Fistandantilus, that was taken directly from a scene in the "Twins" trilogy of books). On the shelf of the wizards chambers is a miniature Tardis. Keith was apparently a fan and wanted to put something in there as an easter egg to one of his favourite things.
Just letting you know, there is at least 2 Doctor Who references in Runescape, both are quests. 1 being the quest " Back to the Freezer ". Second is the Myreque quest series, Amelia and Rory. They would be found near the well in Burgh De Rott. You talk about the skeletal hellhound and somewhere in Amy and Rorys dialogue, they talk about a hero wearing a bowtie.
It's worth pointing out that The Looker was the central character involved with the time/space shenanigans in Diamond/Pearl and Sun/Moon (presumably Pokemon Legends involves this as well, given that you're obviously working for Team Galactic from the future).

Speaking of Silence in the Library, in the Skyrim DLC Dragonborn, there is a particular part of the library world of Hermaeus Mora (eldritch god and book nerd) where the lighting is all wonky and the shadows try to eat you.
There are two Doctor Who levels in Lego Dimensions: a level in the base game, which includes segments from The Girl in the Fireplace and the Pandorica (SPOILERS: there's a minikit hidden inside it), as well as the level pack which is purchased separately. In fact, I'd never watched Doctor Who before I played Lego Dimensions but after seeing all the stuff in those levels, I thought "I really need to watch the show if I'm gonna get all this, aren't I?" and the rest is history.
There are also references to other episodes scattered throughout other levels - for example, in the LOTR level "Riddle Earth" there's a TARDIS spot that takes you to a segment from Dinosaurs on a Spaceship
My favorite mod for _The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion_ adds the TARDIS as a mobile player home. It has everything you need and can be summoned anywhere with an easy-to-cast Alteration spell. It allows you to fast-travel from inside a dungeon without having to backtrack to the entrance. It allows you to recruit almost any NPC as a companion. There are many other conveniences, too, so I highly recommend it even for those who aren't familiar with Doctor Who.
In City of Heroes Homecoming, in the zone called Kallisti Wharf, a zone that was going to be released before CoH was originally shut down. There is a Blue Police Box in one of the areas. All the other Police Boxes are Red. There is also an oddly familiar Red Flat-nosed Semi among some Blue ones.
It should be known in City of Heroes that on the roof of the Pocket D inter dimensional Dance Club, a TARDIS can be seen barely admist some other features.
I did a column tracking down the TARDIS in pop culture over a decade ago, and there are tonnes of references. I couldn't remember them all, but the blue box featured in so many games from Asheron's Call to many others (can't remember them all now). But it's a lot! The TARDIS is tucked away in a surprising number of games :D
There were a bunch of Doctor Who references in the now-long-dead City of Heroes, from dark TARDIS shapes parked in one of the scarier neighborhoods, to a quest where you had to retrieve the Hand of Omega.
It's actually amazing that even though Doctor Who is such an incredibly popular show and it's been ongoing since the 60s, there never actually was a big (not fanmade, mobile etc.) Doctor Who game. It has huge potential and would probably be an easy bestseller. I mean, I have no idea how the potential developers would execute it, but they could get in touch with the likes of Russel T. Davies or Steven Moffat and I'm sure it would turn out fantastic.
One of the earlies MMO's Asheron's Call had a Tardis that would very very rarely randomly spawn in the far wilderness. It didn't do much but it was fun to find and screenshot.
Off brand gallifrey and the TARDIS also show up as a planet and relic in Stellaris. You can find a planet Gullifrey with weird time manipulation going on around it and if you complete the excavation on the planet get the TARDIS as a relic.
@@Knightfang1 I'm realizing now that its probably added by a mod, rather than being in the base game. But, in the base game there is the archeological site "The Library" which is a planet wide library with a killer microorganism infesting it. Bioshock. The mannequins = weeping Angels. Didn't know it at first when when I turned around after emptying that safe it sure scared the crap out of me. Also there is an easter egg of sorts on the Lego Dimensions whereas if you set it to the 4th Doctor. You can get a different Tardis interior on a day that is a multiple of 4 (4th, 8th, 16th... etc of the month).
The Tardis in the original Fallout... Had to be Doctor number 6... Remember he bollixed up the chameleon circuit... Probably crossed the temporal inertia dampeners with the dematerialization circuits...
In Jetpack Joyride there is the possibility to unlock and buy a "blue box" vehicle patch... Clearly a TARDIS not only for the aspect and the name, but also because it can teleport the player along the screen
Lego Dimensions was so good. It even had a Red Dwarf easter egg! It seems that whenever I get into a game that's supposed to have long legs, it dies on its arse.
There are also a ton of references in the sims games.. tho most have to do with item descriptions some are also moodlet based (like a Star trek reference when you drink earl grey tea in the sims 4 that is called “a cup of bold” the description next to it also says something along the lines of it giving your sim the power to go where none has gone before.. wich when combined are a reference to the line to boldly go where no one has gone before) in the sims 3 supernatural an item was added called the LLAMA wich is literally a phone box wich when playing in the world that came with the expansion allow you to travel to other lots. You can buy one and place it on your lot then you can allow your sim to use it in wich they get into the phone box and they are magically transported to a different one in the world (you can set this up yourself by just putting them across the world on lots) in the sims 4 there is also a phone booth object wich i believe came with the cottage living pack (since it is supposed to be the english countryside) that can be recolored to blue and looks a suspicious amount like the tardis. It’s description is also a big reference though this object is purely decoration
Everyone always brings up the Dr Whoa in TF2 as a Doctor Who reference, but nobody I've seen talks about The Chronoscarf For Medic, Which is a Reference To Tom Baker's 4th Doctor
The Sims 4 paid homage to Dr. Who too! In the 'Cottage Living' Expansion Pack you can buy and use a "Who Knows? Phone Booth" it's a london style phone booth that comes in red, green, and BLUE! It is a phone booth and not a police box but it still really reminds you of the Doctor's Tardis. And they did go out of their way to name it "Who Knows? Phone Booth". I put it in a build to pay my homage to Dr. Who. :)
I was very surprised when I found the tardis in a racing game for the gamecube... Extreme G Racing something... can't remember the full title, but that was a very unexpected easter egg to say the least. It's a futuristic super speedy racer type of game, and to even find the reference you have to slow down to a crawl on one of the courses...
The game “Contrast” has a Tardis in the game. I know it’s not a video game but there was an episode of the cartoon “Recess” there was a character called “The Dude” he practically looks identical to The 10th Doctor and this cartoon was way before David Tennant played the 10th Doctor because this cartoon aired during the 90’s.
If you play the Saints Row series, a tongue and cheek series similar to GTA. You can find an Easter egg in the fourth game when you travel to the north pole to fight not so jolly Saint Nick. In one of the caves you'll find a different type of blue box called the Turdis.
Saints Row is far better than GTA, I am sorry but it doesn't take itself too seriously and I know GTA has their funny moments and all that, but Saints Row turns that weird amp up to 11, the reboot tried to reground itself with the story, which they did for the most part, but outside of the story the Easter eggs and secrets have taken it to great lengths and speaking of The Turdis, it can be found in the reboot too, and what's more it can be photographed and then collected as a collectable to display at your HQ :)
One good one is "runescape 3" There is a quest called "back to the freezer" from the penguin quest series, it involes a familiar design on a machine called the "T.A.R.D.I.S" or in runescape they called it the "Terraforming Arctic Refrigeration Dispersing Ice Spreader"
It's not the same, but I love mods/plugins. My old server had the Tardis plugin, and I used it constantly. I built the entire server around it, and a little trick I pulled with Mystcraft.
Fun Fact: Some of the Doctor's most iconic quotes: Lupin Mateee! Do the seven Kamen Riders recognise my voice? Earth... everything about it makes me nostalgic.
I don't think even Clara knew her way around the T.A.R.I.S. There is that short were she can't find her bedroom. Then there's at least a week's worth of Clara's in the control room.
Terraria is also the of the games who have Doctor Who reference. They have a vanity called Fez with the label "Fezzes are cool" which reference to 11th's love for the fez. The 11th Doctor also got his own vanity set named "The Doctor's Shirt" and "The Doctor's Pants".
missed a reference in call of duty ghosts where in the campaign you'll come across a cabinet full of trophies & one of witch is the shape of a police box & says underneath "awarded for the biggest interior space with smallest exterior size"
There's a Tardis in Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour too! In E5L3 you can find a green (not blue) police box that teleport you in another place.
LEGO Doctor who clearly designed the figures for each doctor, yet the actual set we got (with the full tardis interior) didnt't give us the Tehnth doctor. Sure it wasn't his tardis design but still I think an official LEGO tenth doctor would sell like hot cakes
There's another doctor who reference in Fallout New Vegus involving the Y-17 trauma override harness enemies from the Old World Blues DLC. If you have the Wild Wasteland trait, they have a chance to say "Hey, who turned out the lights!?" in refrence to a scene from the Docor Who episode 2 parter Silences in the Laibrary and Forest of the Dead.
There are some other cosmetics in TF2 that honor Doctor Who or appear to reference the show. They have a Fez called the Familiar Fez which can we worn with the Dr Whoa bowtie. There is also a Chronoscarf(self explanatory) and the Spectralnaut which bears a strong resemblance to Silence in the Library victims of the Vashta Nerada. The Spectralnaut is a space helmet with a skull inside for the Pyro for Halloween/Full Moon Event mode. There have been other references but mostly in custom(non official) maps including an appearance of the Tardis.
in the reference filled Deep Loot, the Tardis is a random location found in the game. As expected, it dematerializes shortly after being sighted. It counts for a location bonus.
when i originally played Fallout, i didn't get this, but now that i'm a Doctor Who fan, it was amusing to run across it. like Fallout 2 paying homage to Mad Max

In lego dimensions is literally..."Push to enter"
@ 4:45 it sounds like the HADS ( Hostile Action Displacement System) used by the 2nd Doctor
I also appeared in The Last Of Us as Clicker #4! Here was my audition tape:
ERGEHHEGEGEGRGGEHRHRGGRGRGG
The tardis appears in the Map Duck Nukem in RAMP 2023 for GZDoom
In Watchdogs Legions, there is also a tardis - like phone box in the safe house.
in assasins creed origis the legs could have been a easter egg to journey to the centre of the tardis
Thank you, as a fan I needed this.
If Chris Chibgal ever shows up in any game I'm playing, he's dead...
Who. :)
it would be cooler if they named him "john smith" on everquest
I noticed the professor is riding a pegasus that is wearing a tardis blue jacket.
So good to hear Rich talk about Doctor Who again!
Lego Batman 3 had 2 Doctor Who refernces, Weeping Angels and the TARDIS.
In Katawa Shoujo, the teacher Mutou is based on Tennant’s Doctor
The game “Contrast” has a Tardis in the game.
I know it’s not a video game but there was an episode of the cartoon “Recess” there was a character called “The Dude” he practically looks identical to The 10th Doctor and this cartoon was way before David Tennant played the 10th Doctor because this cartoon aired during the 90’s.
Asheron's call if you ran in the desert around samsur you might find a stange blue police box.
"Tavid Dennant" XD
In Runescape 3 there is a whole quest and music track referencing Doctor Who
If you play the Saints Row series, a tongue and cheek series similar to GTA. You can find an Easter egg in the fourth game when you travel to the north pole to fight not so jolly Saint Nick. In one of the caves you'll find a different type of blue box called the Turdis.
I was hoping to find this mentioned lmao. But yes! And as a side note, Zinyak could easily be a Doctor Who villain lol
One good one is "runescape 3"
There is a quest called "back to the freezer" from the penguin quest series, it involes a familiar design on a machine called the "T.A.R.D.I.S" or in runescape they called it the "Terraforming Arctic Refrigeration Dispersing Ice Spreader"
7:11 another reference is the location is called Letopolis a reference to the 4th doctor’s last episode, Logopolis
sure, but Letopolis is also a real city in the place it is in the game, I say the devs put it there because of the reason you have above
Also Minecraft has been blessed with several mods based off of Doctor who: Dalek, Tardis mod, the weeping angels and regeneration
It's not the same, but I love mods/plugins. My old server had the Tardis plugin, and I used it constantly. I built the entire server around it, and a little trick I pulled with Mystcraft.
Another Krieg quote that references Doctor Who(at least, before the short Night of the Doctor released) is "No last words for the eighth!"
That was a fun opener keep it up. I loved it.
The way you said Rose *PiPeR* was so funny
Fun Fact: Some of the Doctor's most iconic quotes:
Lupin Mateee!
The 11th Doctor also got his own vanity set named "The Doctor's Shirt" and "The Doctor's Pants".
when you were talking about the professor, think about what the Doctors companion, Ace called him
There is Bad Wolf graffiti in Shadowrun Returns
missed a reference in call of duty ghosts where in the campaign you'll come across a cabinet full of trophies & one of witch is the shape of a police box & says underneath "awarded for the biggest interior space with smallest exterior size"
bro- lego dimension was my entire childhood and now im kinda sad because we got rid of the stuff we had for the game (including the game itself)
that professor character definitely has some 7th doctor element
wait a second...….. I've seen this before
There's a Tardis in Duke Nukem 3D: 20th Anniversary World Tour too!
I remember in the movie Secret Agent Cody Banks 2 in a scene in London if you listen carefully you can hear him say “I know it’s fantastic isn’t it?”
Don't forget the weeping angels in the Witcher 3
There's another doctor who reference in Fallout New Vegus involving the Y-17 trauma override harness enemies from the Old World Blues DLC. If you have the Wild Wasteland trait, they have a chance to say "Hey, who turned out the lights!?" in refrence to a scene from the Docor Who episode 2 parter Silences in the Laibrary and Forest of the Dead.
oh great, now I have to start googling the lego videogame to see how faithfully they created the level with the weeping angels 😅
Once starfield receives official mod support, I hope to see the tardis in it
In TF2 there is also the Medic item "The Chronoscarf" an exact make of Tom Baker's scarf
TF2 also has a 4th doctor outfit ref with the Chronoscarf!
in the reference filled Deep Loot, the Tardis is a random location found in the game. As expected, it dematerializes shortly after being sighted. It counts for a location bonus.
when i originally played Fallout, i didn't get this, but now that i'm a Doctor Who fan, it was amusing to run across it. like Fallout 2 paying homage to Mad Max
I still play Lego Dimensions till this day 💙
