    I cannot understand why people get angry about someone else’s service dog helping a different person. I know a diabetic service dog who alerted to like 3 different people in a line at the cafeteria in the hospital and was still quite able to alert to the actual owner.

      Chronically Justified yeah it’s crazy how rude people are my sd react to my heavy breathing and one time my mom was heavy breathing and she alerted her but she still has her attention on me it’s nice to have a sd that also helps your family haha

    I have a service dog for self destructive anxiety and my June stops me from hurting myself and the other day my mom started getting anxious and she alerted and she did dpt for my mom and remained alert on me the whole time

      how do you go about getting a service dog for anxiety? I have really bad anxiety and depression that can make me self harm or something along those lines. I have considered getting an emotional support animal or even a service dog if i qualified (though not sure if i do or not). I hope you are well

    I went on a pain management program here in the UK. It was Friday mornings for 6 weeks 9.30am-12pm with one 10-15 minute break. I hated it. I was the only one with hypermobile ehlers danlos syndrome, ME/chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia. There was only 6 of us and they mainly had back pain or injuries. It was presented by psychologists who were knowledgeable in pain. I had to go like you as it was the recommended treatment for pain through the hospitals pain clinic. I would have been dropped by the clinic if I didn't go.

    They mark you as not compliant even if your ill.? That isn't right... Just curious, if you don't complete the program do they then refuse to treat your pain? IDK, the whole marking you down as not compliant when they know you have an illness seems f'ed up... Anyhow, Much Love 🙏

    I think it's really cool that George switches between you two; I can see why someone would have an issue but if the owner is okay with it and now having any physical issues, I don't see why he can't help others while in the presence of their owner. He's a working doggo, doggo wanna work. Doggo wanna halp.

      Jade Undrill she can’t have dog’s as there not that sterile especially she can’t have her 2 own dog’s when doing her changing and stuff so I don’t think she would get one (but she may have said she may get one or whatever)

    • @yogabirds
      @yogabirds 5 лет назад +4

      Jordan Graybill Many of us with central lines for tpn or other iv treatments have service dogs as they often alert to issues way before we recognize an oncoming issue. Amy would be an excellent candidate for a service dog. I asked about it some time ago and she wasn’t real keen on one due the how much training and time it takes to maintain one. Being around George now might make her want one. You don’t just get a trained service dog and expect them to be trained for life. They require regular training their whole lives and dogs require quite a bit of care when it comes to grooming, feeding, playing, and working. Finding time and energy to do those can be very difficult to accomplish especially when you’re already dealing with severe fatigue fro chronic illness. The dog would need to be in a different room while she gets her dressing changed and when getting the tpn bags set up. Neither one of those takes more than 20 minutes. I generally wipe my service dog’s feet with a kids antibacterial wipe after he potties, but not everyone does that. The dog can never be allowed to lick any part of your body that is within 2 feet of the central line and should never lick or chew on the iv tubing. People with a central line should never live with a dog or any other animal that is not house trained or has ongoing health issue that could be harmful to the person such as mange, ringworm, or fleas.

    • @91jjaaddee
      @91jjaaddee 5 лет назад +2

      You can get dogs that hardly molt. Like Amy said having George in the house isn't as bad as her two as George hardly sheds fur compared to her two

    • @yogabirds
      @yogabirds 5 лет назад +2

      Jade Undrill very true My service dog is a poodle and doesn’t shed at all.

    • @91jjaaddee
      @91jjaaddee 5 лет назад +1

      And Mary from the Frey life also has a poodle. I think a poodle would be really good for Amy.

    I attended a pain clinic at my local public hospital one year ago. I have slight scoliosis which gives me idiopathic pain. And unlike the clinic you had to attend, the clinic I went to was for six hours, every Wednesday for five weeks.
    I assume you attended a public hospital for your pain program. And one unfortunate thing is the public hospital system is trying to accommodate everyone but they may be stretched for funds, personnel and professionals. So even though it's not the best situation in regards to what your health's like and the needs you have, the hospital may have no choice but to run their pain clinic for six to eight hours over two days. I'm a night owl and I wish clinics were done in the afternoon but that's not always possible for our public hospital system ☮️⚛️

    Are you not embarrassed to wear a mask in public? I’m supposed to but I’m too scared. My immune system is extremely low and because of that I’m constantly sick. My mom also thinks it’s stupid and embarrassing to be around me when I’m having visible health issues. Any advice?

    • @sarahnelson4740
      @sarahnelson4740 5 лет назад +6

      I'm so sorry that your mom feels that way about your visible health issues. Not sure where you are from but in America, it's not yet accepted in society to wear masks, while over in Asia. It's frowned upon NOT wearing a mask, especially when sick. I think of it as keeping yourself safe, especially with a low immune system. I give you applause for protecting yourself.
      I know I'm not the one you expect to hear from, but stay strong warrior. 💕

      I was embarrassed at first too but now I would rather wear one then risk getting sick. I also have a low immune system and I put my health first because I'm the one that has to deal with the consequences of not wearing one.

    • @Katie_Jo_21
      @Katie_Jo_21 5 лет назад +1

      Sorry as it sounds you may not be getting the correct support from the sounds of the comment. If your doctor suggests it or your immune system is low or dysfunctional I would not and have not let it stop me. In the past when I wore a mask it was to protect myself. If someone in public doesn't understand that, just do you and ignore them. I did a video on my youtube titled "A man yelled at my service dog". Where I touch on my experience. I would recommend watchin that. Honestly 99 percent of strangers were sweet and understanding. Only 2 out of hundereds and hundereds were mean. Can't stop that, but can take care of yourself. Best wishes.

      @amyslife4457  5 лет назад +2

      I find it easier when I’m around a friend that needs to wear one too and I also find it easier when I’m around Tom too! I only wear it if my immune system is low otherwise I try not too wear it 😅

    Love the pajamas!! I only wish they made them like that in adult sizes as well. I think it's odd they will mark you as non-compliant if you are ill and need to leave the program. Seems like they could be more accommodating and compassionate when they are well aware those attending are quite sick.
