Ball size .59, Stiffness at 5, and damp at .3 is flawless for me. Thanks for the tutorial!

Great tutorial! May I ask how to make the ropes interact with other (hard-surface) objects, like that rock in the intro? Thanks in advance!

just put a collision modifier on the hard surface object ! :)

Cool, but how to make a collision between ropes if they are not in the same vert group but in different ones?

This is not possible in a good way i think….in blender

Does anyone know how he got it to twist like that ? Im trying but the rotation keeps unwinding it instead of twisting them

hi~ thank you for your tutorial...
actually i almost finish this .. but it dosen't wrok Material..... even dosen't work default Material... i just can see just white color...

You have to add (set material) node in your geometry node before the output node.
Then you'll get an option to select material, just select material and enjoy.

Hey, thanks its great, I cant apply a material with out converting to a mesh.
I already subscribe to your patron.

hey man thx a lot! try to ad a set material node at end before the geometry output maybe this works?

@@ascozy_atelier thanks for replyng, It worked doing some variations, to the mapping node on the image texture. connecting the object node to the vector in the texture coordinate.

@@ascozy_atelier it is just hard to create or overwrite vertex groups in blender without effectors. I have been asking them but nothing for now. I wish there were effectors to control vertex groups

Hey, great tutorial - having an issue though. Whenever I assign the vertex group to an empty, the empty doesn't move the whole rope - there is a vertice either side that stay stuck so the empty only manipulates a small section of the rope, or there is always one point that stays stuck whilst the rest moves. Any help would be massively apprecaited thank you

Sorry my bad I didn't wait till next step about shifting the modifiers down. Thanks for the tut!

I think i can help: just make sure the modifiers are in the right order, compare it to the video, if not working just write me a dm!

if u use blender 4 then go into your geo nodes that u made and add a set material node in between right before your output node ! :)
